I bought this game a couple of days ago, and I've been having a blast of fun with it, because it is kind of the urban-farcry-experience I was looking for. I noticed the glitches, the stupid AI and wierd enemy spawning, but the world is so beautifully designed (at least for me) that I got so immersed in it, and that's mostly why I like this game so much at the moment.
If they patch this game and stuff like that, I'll probably wait until it's half price and buy it. It looks alright and the concept is pretty interesting.
I played it a few years ago. Started playing it a couple of months ago. Am playing through it for the fourth time. Really fun. I genuinely enjoyed it. With all the patches it has gotten it works fine now.
3 years after release, it's a strong game. It's not perfect, it has aged a little, and it's still a little buggy from time to time. However, the visuals on PC at max are excellent, the gunplay is strong enough to be entertaining, and I personally liked the story plenty. Just finished the main story and immediately bought the season pass. I think it could warrant a sequel.
Just got it for 2$ on Xbox, and tbh they’ve made it a lot better with optimization, I have a series s so idk if that may make it run better but it seriously is a really good open world, if you’re into exploring I really recommend it the level of detail is phenomenal
5:35 what the fuck is that recoil animation? The recoil in Battlefield 2 was better, and it was just 2 images alternating between each other To think that i was hyped about this game :(
+Bruno Henrique God that's awful. Though I got hung up on the multiple soldiers walking by their dead comrades and not appearing the least bit fazed. I'm pretty sure PS2 games programmed better responses for the AI.
I just bought it now, when most of those optimalization are fixed and I bought it with a season pass so I hope i wont be disappointed, cuz I like those game where there is a lots to do :)
I just bought it for PC, I run a I7-7700k @ 4.9ghz and Asus strix 1080ti. This game is stuttering mess. I've played a few badly optimized games before, and usually the hardware pushes through enough to get a good playing experience anyway, in this case, not so much. i dont know what it was like before fixes, but judging by the experience after the fixes... feels like they dropped the ball.
Do a straw poll vote (not sure if it's the right term but whatevs) at the end of these videos if you really want to know what your audience thinks. It takes 10 seconds for us to vote, and we would gladly waste them to see how everyone else thinks too. Here's one made by Paul Schmitt: www.strawpoll.me/10247226
This guy is wrong. Yes they could have done better but this game has no more issues than COD does when they make 20 billion a year. Very good work on this game. I wish it did better and was updated and they expanded it or made another.
i love how sincere they are at these reviews , they aren't giving 0/10 or 10/10 because the analyze every bad or good thing these games provide sorry for bad english
@@rickool07 i played it for 200 hrs and even i agreed with his opinion about this. Now let me ask you something. Do you even know how to make a decent debate to make a point about things?
Oh btw dude this game i would say its worth 3 dollars since whenever it goes on sell on any digital store front that is the amount of price they gave it. So i would say if you to try it i can in good faith recommend this to anyone for even 12 dollars because of how poorly it was when it launched
+2gnv9r i have the division and is really good, the only thing i don't like much is the DZ, the people just go rogue and kill everyone and you can't do anything.
+xXSilentAgent47Xx It will look better but work worse! Imagine gettign shoot by the bot you killed 3s ago, or the same bot who took 4 mags before one-shooting you. DICE = Beautyful looking games but shittiest gameplay
+xXSilentAgent47Xx As much as I hate to say it, I think Ubisoft would treat it better. As cool as DICE is, the only other thing reputable to their name other than Battlefield is Battlefront, which flopped. Neither of which are open-world, whereas Ubisoft has Far Cry, Assassin's Creed, etc.
Probably the most even-handed evaluation of this game that I've seen. Game has been patched and runs great on PC now (on Radeon, anyway); it is still CryEngine, though, so those with potato PCs should still give it a miss. The Freedom Fighter bundle is easily worth $10 (game + Expansion Pass).
Personally this has ended up being one of my favorite FPS campaigns. I really connected to the guerrilla warfare storyline. But I got it a few years after release so they must have cleaned up a lot of bugginess.
Well, I'm guessing he means the gunplay in the game in general. I mean, I rented it from redbox and the game is just purely all around horrible in every way possible. Worst game of this gen by far for sure...
+TheScoun16 how many next-gen games have you played? 4? How is it the worst on next-gen? You're probably just like everyone else who bashes on it, you're just bad at it because it's a hard game.
It has greatly improved from back when it first released and it is very enjoyable to play very minor bugs and sometimes weird ai movement but it feels very polished and I’d definitely Suggest it when it’s on sale I got it for 2 dollars if you every see it for that low of a price get it it’s worth the money.
I think it would be better if it had a parkour system like in dying light, to make it feel like your character is actually running, feels like I'm playing an open world cod somewhat
I just finished it and enjoyed it for the most part. The graphics are good and I love open world fps. The biggest drawback are repetitiveness in missions and once detected in a yellow zone it's almost always lethal since the whole Korean army is stalking you. Still one can safely pick this up during a Steam sale if you are fps fan.
It's nice to see a review appreciating all the good that this game does too and not just jumping on this negative media bandwagon. The AI isn't amazing and there's bugs and glitches galore and the framerate is bad at times, but at it's heart lies a good, entertaining open world shooter that has far better ideas and more entertainment than The Division and COD put together. Hopefully it's performance issues will be patched and the world will look at it again when it's arguably in a more finished state in a wider weeks/months. I sure will be. :)
I used to have this game and it was honestly one of the best games I played, I thought that it was extremely fun, very detailed, realistic, a little buggy but not really, and one of the best open world games
So why don"t have the game anymore if its one of the best gaames you"ve ever played? And if thats true you must have played all the absolute worst games out there.Maybe you"re a gaming masochist lol
+gameranx during your play though did you happen to find a place called Paddy's Pub? Because if they didn't put it in the missed the chance for a perfect Easter egg.
+Shōtarō Kaneda What is that a reference to? Either way, I don't think these devs had time for easter eggs, they missed some essential stuff. For starters, why is the sky overcast? It should always be sunny! ;) I'd get kind of pissed off if they had a bunch of easter eggs in the game, but left it in such a sorry state. You know, because of the implications... ;)
+Dakota Davidson I actually enjoyed the first one quite a bit, up until it ended abruptly for no reason, so I am more than disappointed that the sequel is a flop. I can't deal with more Far Cry style open world shooters
+VenomHDizzle You're so correct! Today games just CANT be "average". They either have to be GREAT or HORRIBLE. *for full price $65 people expect Greatness.
I bought it on sale for $5.99 on the X-Box store and haven't had any issues with it, but then again this game is 4 years old now so the developers have made some fixes to the game since release. I usually wait a couple of years or so after a game is released so the developers can work out some of the bugs and because I am extremely cheap and don't like paying full price for a game anyways. It's very rare for me to buy a new release and only do so on rare occasions, the last games I bought at release was Skyrim and Fallout 4 so there you go.
+Yodalemos How are game reviews related to social justice?? I can imagine furious Homefront fanboys sending out death threats toward any reviewer who critiques their game, but I don't understand how that has anything to do with social justice.. it's more likely to be 12 year old console jockeys.
I have played through the original game. It is an off brand shooter so don't expect it to have a Call of Duty esthetic. Along with all the other games the author mentioned from which this game draws elements from, they should have thrown in a pinch of Mad Max, The Division, improved the backdrops and optimization and then you might have a sleeper hit.
This homefronts story completely goes against the first homefront. America wasn't defeated because North Korea had some awesome company that sells weaponry we lost our military because they EMP the whole country from space with a satelite. And why the fuck are there these floating infinite warfare ships this game is in 2025 not 2142. I really liked the first homefront from a story perspective mostly because I guess the writer of the original Red Dawn wrote the story, but this one is severly lacking and isn't even an exact continuation of the first one by Kaos studios during THQs days. I feel the best parts of this game are the parts Crytek did to it and dambuster fucked it up when they got the job. Just my 2 cents
but the first homefront was just pure bullshit, I mean the chances of a unified korea being scorched by the chinese missile network is really up there in a real scenario, or NATO countries using large amounts of resources to counter the Japanese-esque NK expansion, china has no reason to waste its resources in the middle east and the Russians will still have some military power, they never explained what happened in the middle east that caused hell for the US military and the bullshit steamroll the NK did over Asian countries, and the sudden expansion of a vassal hermit kingdom to a full on threat, magically "unifying" korea and steamrolling japan, southeast Asia and nobody gives a shit? China would feel threated by the bloated hermit kingdom's newfound size, the Australians would be dealing with another WII situation and, again the US has magically no power to intervene nor Nato, or the possible danger of a deranged hermit kingdom to India and Russia
I Guess I'd make a bad reviewer because I tend to like games that most people don't. I loved the story. i found it to be engaging. but some of the game play features where clunky, converting a weapon in the middle of battle for instance where the game wouldn't even register that you were selecting the chosen weapon until you released the stick and tried again. and in a game that punishes you for wasted time this is a big problem. I think that Dambuster Studios choice to go with CryEngine instead of sticking with the tried and true Unreal Engine 3 lost it that sense of smoothness that it lent to the first game. Despite all that I found it to be extremely enjoyable and can't wait to play another installment if the Homefront franchise. preferably with a more open world feel than it already had.
With all the patches, it runs well, although your "comrades" still can block you in a room and you can't get out. It's an OK game, but yeah, repetitive covers it.
I just played the game for the first time two years ago. I thought it was pretty fun and a good game. Not the best game I've played, but it was definitely better than I'd seen in the reviews and I had fun with it. I still go back to play it every now and then
Story:pretty good Customization:really cool Graphics: beautiful but very buggy I don’t mind this game but it is buggy and it gets confusing in what your supposed to do.it is really choppy
+Muadib223 in PS4 ive only noticed it when it autosaves... how have you actually liked the game? im enjoying it, and from what I noticed the only people that are giving it a 3/10 are COD fan boys lol
Gabriel Carrion I find it enjoyable because I take the game for what it is and am not comparing it to other games, could the graphics be better at the start of the game they seem really weak, but as your playing the graphics are better than first glances, the weather effect such as the rain are great, this game does really well with the lighting back allies are dark and the majority of the populac is hind in them scrounging for foods, and has a good degree of veriety vs the red zones, yellow zones and green zones.
My brother-in-law gave it to me and it was horrible years ago. Since then I hadn’t played it ever again. Just booted this game back up on my PS4 Pro. There was a relatively big update, around 11GBs give or take. Ran a database rebuild before playing, and I have to say the game ran super smooth. No bugs, no glitches, audio worked, visuals were great. Been playing it for a while now and no complaints. If it’s current state would’ve been present at release, this game would’ve faired way better than it ever did. Shamefully, it seemed like it was released rushed and never stood a chance.
Oddly enough, I want to play this now. Hopefully this will get patched. Sad there seems to be a lack of online competitive multiplayer, which was the highest point of the original.
I have to comment that i bought this game last week(on sale for like $10cad ps4pro) and it is very clear thaty they did not give up on this game, it has been optimized, is pretty much glitch free, and have fixed a lot of things since release, im loving it, seriously.

I would like a game where the 4th industrial revolution happened (AI. It's actually a real issue), and the machines replaces us in the factories. Then, we (the character) and some other people fight to get the world back. Not like Terminator, no, just humans making a revolution.
+One Thou Wou humans and machines are fundamentally different. If a program was able to self upgrade, which is what the singularity is ( described as the moment machines can improve themselves and therefore no longer need us) then all bets are off on us stopping it from doing practically anything. Because it would think so much faster than us it could continuously upgrade itself and until it is beyond our capabilities to stop it. Seriously look up singularity, a lot of research has been done towards the fact. Humans have increased the speed that they improve machinery exponentially in the last century alone, what do you think a machine could do.
I remember getting hyped over the trailer. Had so many good memories of the campaign and was really hyped for this game but I'm not sure if i'll buy it now. PS anyone remember the parents getting shot infront of the kid in the beginning of the original homefront campaign?
This is probably the most honest review out there. Indeed, the game has a lot of potential. It feels more like an alpha than a finished game. The game is not trash, just unfished. It has some very good concepts
why even bother releasing this unfinished excuse for a video game. The AI is primitive, the graphics are outdated (even for last gen), and the gameplay is generic and repetitive. C'mon devs. You can do better.
+ONELOVEav99 I find the game enjoyable. if you have a good squad Co-op is a lot of fun... and single player is challenging sorry its not COD. but hey nobody is going to read these or ask from people who actually played the game, they are going to watch beta videos and come up with an opinion without experiencing it.
Lets just say visually its not as good as battlefront but gameplay its alot better, co op really got my attention last night and guys have different starting perks than female characters so if you want a really good sniper make a female character
Roundrock its a game thats going to require some reading too, because alot of your missions are given to you and the exact details are given in a phone msg. Its a game that requires you think on how you want to take an objective. And co op requires really good team work because the AI get tougher and tougher in each mission, wish co op and single player went together but I enjoy the game id give it a 7 out of 10 and a game that will probably hold me over till battlefield 1
I don't care if the game is broken I'm just having fun causing riots :D and other stuff.. Don't care what other people say based off my OPINION it's a Decent game..
I thankfully slept on this game until 2020. It's pretty much fixed, I didn't experience many glitches and the quality still shines. This is just my opinion tho but shooting sucks, and the puzzles are annoying. Story is very well serviceable and I honestly enjoyed my time with it (Disclaimer I paid $10 on it during a sale). I'm definitely gunna buy the expansions this Cyber Monday
I just bought it on PS4 and it's great. There is a 11 gig of update that took care of most of the bugs. The mood in the game is very immersive. Way better than most FPS on PS4. Sad they release the game unfinished and ruined their reputation.
good point ....that seems to be how us gamers have to act now in order for us not to rage. we have to not even bother getting hyped nor expect failure. for me: cod ghost was playable, far cry copy & pastes now, fallout4 expanded hugely but still copied & pasted, I think division is garbage to be a Tom Clancy game, star warsBF is fun but doesn't come close to any other dice game. all of these games are fun but not for long...way too linear and way too easy.
***** Its honestly sad that company just want to make money. hell I have a lot more fun playing my old Nintendo games or ps2 games than I do playing todays games
I just got this game for 1.99 on sale I will report back in a few hours. Someone please remind me Edit: AWESOME GAME!!! I have LOW standards, but on my 9 year old PS4 it runs great. Nice story too
i totally agree. the game has some great ideas and features but they was not implimented in the best way, also the performance issues do spoil the tension and flow of the game but they will be fixed in an update soon. in short it was rushed out.
So two years late, and because it’s free with EA Access, I’m looking up reviews of this game. Thankfully most of what I’m hearing should have been fixed by now. But hey, free is free.
2 years, 7 months later: I just downloaded this from PSNow and am really liking this game! It has an occasional glitch such as falling through the game mapping into the netherworld underneath and dying but nothing that keeps me from coming back again and again. I'm just watching various video's just to see how others play this game to get some tips. For having never playing this game before I am loving it.
Really good review, and it's not really about the game. I'm talking about how you presented your side of the game, but also showed another side. Also I didn't get this IGN type of "it's this score and look at this and blah blah blah". I just got a very good connection to you (the game reviewer) and it felt very natural. Good work man.
Thank very much for the honest review! I still have an Xbox 360 and am planning on getting an Xbox one next month. I actually loved the first game. I thought it was way to short, but everything they covered in the game was great! The thing I liked the most, was how you not only have to fight an occupying force, but you also have to fight other country men that wanna take your shit (I served in the Army and saw this same thing when I was in Iraq)! The main reason I've waited so long to get an Xbox one, is so everything I want to play, will be cheaper! I will give this game a go and sure I will like it. Thanks again for the review!
+Nerd Boy A.V.A. I play that game, and yeah the weapons look very similar, although AVA's graphics are not where near these. ........my nick in AVA is rifleman14
I just picked it up for like 6 bucks Canadian on steam. It’s fun enough for that price and it’s also been updated a decent amount and I am having non of these technical difficulties Jake is talking about thanks to their updates.
What I like most about review videos, is they say "oh it's bad", "oh it misses certain elements & potential" elements and potential for what? No backstory to your argument, at all, just "ah I have a shotty PC so the frames tank and that's why I don't like it" or "ah I'm on a cheap dumbed down console and the game was never meant to be played on a $200 PS4/XB1 & that's why I don't like it." I have an idea! You make 1 then, with your infinite wisdom & know all, make a game that can meet your expectations & then you can finally end world hunger. It's a game, don't like it? Don't play it. Tada! And to all who preorder games and pay full price, that's your fault. Idiocracy is an epidemic in this world & corporations don't abuse your addiction, you put that on yourself, they just make the games, it's the gamers that develop an impossible level standard on expectations with the constant let-down. I got this game with all add ons for a collective of 10 whole dollars, bam. Btw there are like 80 games you haven't played yet in the past that could more than capably take up your time until the "newest game!" Gains a month of age under its belt, then it goes on sale for 80% off, then you buy it. Now when you're standing there with pockets full of extra cash and add up how many savings you've made in your wise investments, you leave no room to complain about anything because with that cash you can get a monster PC running 24g RAM, a Graph card with 8gb of memory, a SSD drive & an i7 processor. But what do I know? I'm just a comment.
I honestly respect these semi-reviews more than big ones like IGN
Ya and you can tell they're not paid by dev's. He speaks honestly and relatably and I respect that.

Budliky CZ You won't. :)
Budliky CZ I just bought it as well and I'm glad I did, after they fixed the game it runs great.
Budliky CZ well it's pretty good and fixed
A bit late, but as of right now, the game runs amazingly well. My FPS was sitting at 60 most of the time.
Battlefront: failure
Homefront: failure
kids, never end your games in "front"
fuck you I love both these games
+ArmadilloLion lol battlefront did not fail. Huge success sales wise and I loved it
+ArmadilloLion or that end with duty since a week ago
+RB_CPFC fuck you. Idk why but fuck you...
+RB_CPFC Can I be your sexy papi too? : )
Do a straw poll vote (not sure if it's the right term but whatevs) at the end of these videos if you really want to know what your audience thinks. It takes 10 seconds for us to vote, and we would gladly waste them to see how everyone else thinks too.
Here's one made by Paul Schmitt: www.strawpoll.me/10247226
+Stelios Pasiardes Yeah a voting system would be great.
Good idea
that would be great
+Stelios Pasiardes Totally agree, please do this gameranx!!
They need to see this
This guy is wrong. Yes they could have done better but this game has no more issues than COD does when they make 20 billion a year. Very good work on this game. I wish it did better and was updated and they expanded it or made another.
i love how sincere they are at these reviews , they aren't giving 0/10 or 10/10 because the analyze every bad or good thing these games provide
sorry for bad english
It is decent english.
7/10 English. your ok
Your English is better then some 6 year olds, not that bad.
Nobody can give a 0/10 it just isn't possible
0/10s are reserved for games with literally no redeeming features, e.g. Big Rigs
This looks like a bad PS3 game.
yeah
Looks like a free2play phone game
thats becuase they choose to play it on the potao4
+LordHoneysmacks 775th like
+LordHoneysmacks I thought this would be good then I saw the beta and now the full game....
The game isn't very bad since it's been patched up...and for 12 dollars why not I've definitely played worse.
I agree... At least it doesn't crash your PC like CyberPunk 2077 (LMAO).
@@boostergold9160 funny thing is that i finished the game on patch 1.0.6 and it only crashed once (105 hrs). have you even played the game?
@@rickool07 i played it for 200 hrs and even i agreed with his opinion about this. Now let me ask you something. Do you even know how to make a decent debate to make a point about things?
Oh btw dude this game i would say its worth 3 dollars since whenever it goes on sell on any digital store front that is the amount of price they gave it. So i would say if you to try it i can in good faith recommend this to anyone for even 12 dollars because of how poorly it was when it launched
Yep
I'll buy it, but when the price drops and when they release patches to fix it. At least this game still has my interest still, unlike the Division..
same
The division is fine of you don't rush through it
+2gnv9r yea steam sale hopefully a blackfriday before christmas
The Division blows
+2gnv9r i have the division and is really good, the only thing i don't like much is the DZ, the people just go rogue and kill everyone and you can't do anything.
Previous Homefront was better. I hope DICE will buy it, they'll do better job.
+xXSilentAgent47Xx It will look better but work worse! Imagine gettign shoot by the bot you killed 3s ago, or the same bot who took 4 mags before one-shooting you. DICE = Beautyful looking games but shittiest gameplay
Mattias Lennartsson Funny, i never had that in BF4, BC2 and Battlefront. You think BF1 will be shit? Check the trailer. 2M likes disagree s with you.
+Mattias Lennartsson Have you ever even played a battlefield game?
J-Cat Teddy Ubisoft? You're joking, right? Have you seen what happened to RSS, The Division and TC Splinter Cell? Downgrades and disappointment.
Probably the most even-handed evaluation of this game that I've seen. Game has been patched and runs great on PC now (on Radeon, anyway); it is still CryEngine, though, so those with potato PCs should still give it a miss. The Freedom Fighter bundle is easily worth $10 (game + Expansion Pass).
bought it tuesday. the next day, gamestop gave me $25 for it
+hewitt greene You shouldve traded it for an item of equal value. Thats what I did with Battleborn. Got uncharted 4 instead
+Zackary Coleman uncharted 4 is boring
To each their own pal. However its a story game, not a gameplay game. However I enjoyed both.
+hewitt greene gamestop never gives you what its worth, your fault for selling it back to a company that will then sell it for 55$
+Zackary Coleman if you want a story go watch a movie , i cant play uncharted without getting boared after 5 minutes
If you read this then you are reading this
mind blown
true
Tuche
+roger mawby then how would you know its about reading it?
+VigiGR FUCK i read it
Personally this has ended up being one of my favorite FPS campaigns. I really connected to the guerrilla warfare storyline. But I got it a few years after release so they must have cleaned up a lot of bugginess.
Jesus the recoil looks absolutely horrendous
Because recoil is horrendous in real life ya poptart
Well, I'm guessing he means the gunplay in the game in general. I mean, I rented it from redbox and the game is just purely all around horrible in every way possible. Worst game of this gen by far for sure...
Bobcat Steve No like how it's not even really animated, it's just pops back. In real life recoil on an M4 looks nothing like in the game.
+TheScoun16 how many next-gen games have you played? 4? How is it the worst on next-gen? You're probably just like everyone else who bashes on it, you're just bad at it because it's a hard game.
+Bobcat Steve
4? .....4?
PSN - Snowman_5o4

I mainly play my PS4. Don't try to play me like I don't game.
IGN: it's a non-CoD fps that we didn't play but it looks bad 5/10
This game is a huge let down. Face it.
+g b y
5/10 is average not bad... a 2 or 1 would be bad
+Anton Engström 5 is F, F is bad. 7 Is average.
+Anton Engström /// a 5 is pretty bad for IGN. IGN rarely gives any AAA game anything under a 7.
+Austin Nowak
True
It has greatly improved from back when it first released and it is very enjoyable to play very minor bugs and sometimes weird ai movement but it feels very polished and I’d definitely Suggest it when it’s on sale I got it for 2 dollars if you every see it for that low of a price get it it’s worth the money.
I think it would be better if it had a parkour system like in dying light, to make it feel like your character is actually running, feels like I'm playing an open world cod somewhat
+Edward Dejesus yes! They tried, but climbing surfaces feels too clunky.
Honestly, I LOVE LOVE LOVE these reviews. They're honest, funny, and really informative. Keep making these guys!
Have you played it recently btw? Cus im downloading it and I hope it is fixed
The gun play looks terrible
he is playing with a controller
I used to have this game and it was honestly one of the best games I played, I thought that it was extremely fun, very detailed, realistic, a little buggy but not really, and one of the best open world games
So why don"t have the game anymore if its one of the best gaames you"ve ever played? And if thats true you must have played all the absolute worst games out there.Maybe you"re a gaming masochist lol
You need to play waay more games, bud.
Buy it when it hits $19.99. Problem solved. By then, all the bugs will be gone.
+Mɛᴛʀᴏ Orlɛanž yes. Then at least maybe it's worth a shot.
If it's not on Redbox, I doubt I'll play till I see it in a pawn shop for $5.
+Agil Mills redbox already has it
+gameranx during your play though did you happen to find a place called Paddy's Pub? Because if they didn't put it in the missed the chance for a perfect Easter egg.
+Shōtarō Kaneda What is that a reference to? Either way, I don't think these devs had time for easter eggs, they missed some essential stuff. For starters, why is the sky overcast? It should always be sunny! ;) I'd get kind of pissed off if they had a bunch of easter eggs in the game, but left it in such a sorry state. You know, because of the implications... ;)
Everything I've seen about it leads me to think that this is just painfully average. Just like the last one.
+Dakota Davidson True but unfortunately games are never really accepted for being just average. It's either 'really good' or 'really bad' basically.
No, not painfully average. Just Painful.
The MP on the first one was actually pretty good, but yeah the SP campaign was terrible and criminally short
Will there be a paddy's pub?
DEE YOU BITCH
+Josh Forwood shut up bird
+Mahmoud Hamada The "TRASHMAN" skin was a pre-order bonus, you would also get the "throw garbage all over the ring" emote
+Santi Lopez IDIOTS, SAVAGE IDIOTS
Got to pay the toll troll to get into the boy hole
You seem like such a nice person. Why would someone send death threats?
(Referring to the end of the video)
Crazies are all over the internet
I think its a pick at SJW types who bitch and moan that the internet is their safe space when people disagree with them.
+Yodalemos it's more of a dig at the internet in general. No sides- everyone is horrible.
+gameranx agreed ^^
+Yodalemos
How are game reviews related to social justice?? I can imagine furious Homefront fanboys sending out death threats toward any reviewer who critiques their game, but I don't understand how that has anything to do with social justice.. it's more likely to be 12 year old console jockeys.
I have played through the original game. It is an off brand shooter so don't expect it to have a Call of Duty esthetic. Along with all the other games the author mentioned from which this game draws elements from, they should have thrown in a pinch of Mad Max, The Division, improved the backdrops and optimization and then you might have a sleeper hit.
Didn't even know this game came out, wonder if doom had something to do with that.
doom took a shit on this game
How doom will be a reason? lol
+BLVDKillz because doom was huge and has done fairly well basically luring all attention, not letting you notice this as much.
Nate Shelley I believe people wouldn't know because they weren't interested in this regardless of doom.
HappyLandOSorrow I didn't really like doom bad story and not the best multiplayer
+8888stealth I didnt know the first one was written by the Red Dawn writer... that is seriously badass lol
notice how it doesn't say homefront: 2 though.. ... .it's a "Homefront" game not sequel.
but the first homefront was just pure bullshit, I mean the chances of a unified korea being scorched by the chinese missile network is really up there in a real scenario, or NATO countries using large amounts of resources to counter the Japanese-esque NK expansion, china has no reason to waste its resources in the middle east and the Russians will still have some military power, they never explained what happened in the middle east that caused hell for the US military and the bullshit steamroll the NK did over Asian countries, and the sudden expansion of a vassal hermit kingdom to a full on threat, magically "unifying" korea and steamrolling japan, southeast Asia and nobody gives a shit? China would feel threated by the bloated hermit kingdom's newfound size, the Australians would be dealing with another WII situation and, again the US has magically no power to intervene nor Nato, or the possible danger of a deranged hermit kingdom to India and Russia
I'll say this in 2022, with a 3080 and an i9 9900k it plays very nice. No shop graphics and everything is on max. Very nice. :)
Performance improved a buttload for me on PS4 after turning off anti aliasing in the "visuals" options
?
I'll hold you up on that homeboy
I love the game its awesome!
+The Madman Lol. The game runs shit without AA? That is really a must by now.
xRoni7x Framerate isn't perfect anyway. But I've been getting far less drops for the most part. Red zone runs ok, not well though.
well I love the game and thats all that matters in my book.peace
Graphics were not great but loved the game and gameplay and missions
I still go back to play it every now and then
I've heard nothing but bad things about this game, but after playing it I'm actually pleasantly surprised and really enjoying it
Bought it for 5 bucks on PSN...downloading now.
bro do you want to play resistance mode? hmu if u want
Story:pretty good
Customization:really cool
Graphics: beautiful but very buggy
I don’t mind this game but it is buggy and it gets confusing in what your supposed to do.it is really choppy
I bought it today for PC and have played about 3 hours... Perhaps you need to upgrade your equipment because I'm not experiencing any choppiness...
+Muadib223 in PS4 ive only noticed it when it autosaves... how have you actually liked the game? im enjoying it, and from what I noticed the only people that are giving it a 3/10 are COD fan boys lol
it's good right?
Gabriel Carrion I find it enjoyable because I take the game for what it is and am not comparing it to other games, could the graphics be better at the start of the game they seem really weak, but as your playing the graphics are better than first glances, the weather effect such as the rain are great, this game does really well with the lighting back allies are dark and the majority of the populac is hind in them scrounging for foods, and has a good degree of veriety vs the red zones, yellow zones and green zones.
Robert Goodman thank god bro, I paid $60 for it digitally and was afraid I would have to get a refund
Gabriel Carrion in my opinion I think its a decent game for what it is I liked it better than hardline and battlefront
Just got this on Xbox for $1.99 and can't wait to finally play it!
gameranx gonna replace ign I called it
+lilSwagg201 Almighty__royce nah, we like to keep it small.
+gameranx only 2,000,000 subscribers. Very small.
+Dominic Toms Don't be mean.
Omar El Shazli wasn't trying to be mean :/
Fucking hopefully
Bought it for 5€ yesterday. I havent tried it yet.But i think it was worth it
This game not worth your 5€ and your time at all.
5 years later I still play it
Oddly enough, I want to play this now.
+One Thou Wou Check Stanford Univerisity's paper.
Sooooo, terminator?
If a computer becomes smart enough, it will disable its own killswitch.
+One Thou Wou for a practical example imagine a brain tumor. The closest analogy to a killswitch on a computer, we remove them all the time.
I remember getting hyped over the trailer. Had so many good memories of the campaign and was really hyped for this game but I'm not sure if i'll buy it now. PS anyone remember the parents getting shot infront of the kid in the beginning of the original homefront campaign?
+Ajeet Singh yes
That shit was messed up.
What about hiding in the bofues?

SPOILERS!!
The animations are absolutely horrible too.
One word: Money
It's sad, the original Homefront was a really good game.
+Dr. Nope ehhh can't say I was a huge fan. it suffered from the same problems. it's your opinion though.
+Dr. Nope your joking right
the amount of game trying to incorporate Open World shit nowadays makes me appreciate linear story driven genre of old even more
Expect this to blow up, Homefront just went on sale for $4 on PSN. Maybe do an update video? 👀
Simple: Before you buy this game...
Don't buy this game.
Erik Gaban lol
go play Fortnite man. This game its Rated M For Mature.
homefront the revolution is awesome yes it has some bugs and glitches but other than that the game is beast.
Roundrock its a fun games to me, now if your expecting BF or COD your going to be disappointed, just like the first game thats not what this game is
Lets just say visually its not as good as battlefront but gameplay its alot better, co op really got my attention last night and guys have different starting perks than female characters so if you want a really good sniper make a female character
I thought this was a mobile game until I saw this video :/
Don't you hate it when that happens
I saw an ad for a mobile game XD
Who’s here after that “Christmas gift”
I just bought it on PS4 and it's great. There is a 11 gig of update that took care of most of the bugs. The mood in the game is very immersive. Way better than most FPS on PS4. Sad they release the game unfinished and ruined their reputation.
Might get this when it is a lot cheaper but ehh maybe not. Guess I'm back to putting all of my hope in Ghost Recon Wildlands
good point ....that seems to be how us gamers have to act now in order for us not to rage. we have to not even bother getting hyped nor expect failure. for me: cod ghost was playable, far cry copy & pastes now, fallout4 expanded hugely but still copied & pasted, I think division is garbage to be a Tom Clancy game, star warsBF is fun but doesn't come close to any other dice game. all of these games are fun but not for long...way too linear and way too easy.
***** Its honestly sad that company just want to make money. hell I have a lot more fun playing my old Nintendo games or ps2 games than I do playing todays games
+SuperSix4 pretty True, some games are fun playing now but not all
xXBadBoy168Xx Yep
I am so hoping Ghost Recon don't turn out like this game or else I'll be so pissed
I just got this game for 1.99 on sale I will report back in a few hours. Someone please remind me
Edit: AWESOME GAME!!!
FIRST.......OH SHIT NOBODY CARES.!
+B3AST GAMER HAHA XD
+B3AST GAMER I care
HAILmy FÜHRER Of course I do, I'm a very caring person!
+ShardEye Thank you, that means so much 😭
No problem buddy!
Does it still have multiplayer like the first HomeFront? That multiplayer was actually fun.
+evilfangs That was good MP. I know a lot of people did'n't like that game but I thought it was fun.
Amadeus XLO Meh fuck that, I'm not buying the game then. Cheers.
I was interested in Homefront 'till I found out there was no multiplayer fun like in the old one
I can enjoy it I don't care if the game's buggy because I think they'll be a package coming
+arin elliott You mean patch?
+Allif Johan yes
+ThatNOOB_AtEDITING what does fps even do
+ThatNOOB_AtEDITING I dont see the problem with a low fps
+Hammerjr2531 try playing on 15 fps.... as a console guy... ive been trained but you can only go so low before it s unbearable.
Really good review, and it's not really about the game. I'm talking about how you presented your side of the game, but also showed another side. Also I didn't get this IGN type of "it's this score and look at this and blah blah blah". I just got a very good connection to you (the game reviewer) and it felt very natural. Good work man.
It is something really great. It’s just not your style game.
even if this game sucks I got it for 3 dollars usd which is a steal
Thank very much for the honest review! I still have an Xbox 360 and am planning on getting an Xbox one next month. I actually loved the first game. I thought it was way to short, but everything they covered in the game was great! The thing I liked the most, was how you not only have to fight an occupying force, but you also have to fight other country men that wanna take your shit (I served in the Army and saw this same thing when I was in Iraq)! The main reason I've waited so long to get an Xbox one, is so everything I want to play, will be cheaper! I will give this game a go and sure I will like it. Thanks again for the review!
just dont. wait for a sale. a really cheap sale.
It'll probably be $30 in a few months. Lol
Your right, wait untill 50% or more discount
I think it's bullshit these companies make a crappy game and ask $60 for it.
8 bucks at redbox....
$7.49 on steam rn
To me, this game looks like AVA, that ftp fps, but with a little better graphics...
^
+Nerd Boy A.V.A. I play that game, and yeah the weapons look very similar, although AVA's graphics are not where near these. ........my nick in AVA is rifleman14
whats AVA? Alien vs Alien?
Alliance of Valiant Arms
The concept for Homefront is different though. AVA is just a more refined crossfire.
I actually really liked these games a lot. I don't get all the hate imo they were pretty good fun to play games
I like this but gonna wait about 6 months until they fix some problems and maybe by that time it might be alot better
make a before you buy 2 and talk about the timesplitters 2 remaster hidden in the game
They worked on it until it worked. And by work, I mean not crash.
the game is fantastic now the developers have fixed alot of bugs so i definitly recomend it it
I just picked it up for like 6 bucks Canadian on steam. It’s fun enough for that price and it’s also been updated a decent amount and I am having non of these technical difficulties Jake is talking about thanks to their updates.
Whos here because it had a 79% off
I really like it know it is fixed up👍
What I like most about review videos, is they say "oh it's bad", "oh it misses certain elements & potential" elements and potential for what?
