I've been a fan of this team since 1971 . I'm born and raised in DC and the reason why I am so excited about this quick turnaround is the fact it will make it that much easier for us to get a new stadium in DC.
More like one. Yes, Snyder was gone last year, but it was almost all his people left. This was the first "true" year under our new owner and holy crap.
@ true enough. His guys played so bad we got the #2 and JD changes everything. But even then, we needed some help from the Giants getting some pointless wins last year.
Daniels is a force to be reckoned with. He’s got some of the most talented group of players that surround him. I wouldn’t be surprised if they beat the Eagles & went on to win the Super Bowl
I’m a Detroit Lions fan. I was sad by this but a little happy Jayden knew what he was doing, and will root for him to win the Super Bowl, but I hope the Lions can improve on this game and he to the Super Bowl. ONE PRIDE!!!!!
The pass to Dyami Brown was one of the best passes ever. The Commanders are more than for real; they've arrived! As a long time WAS fan having suffered through the Snyder decades, this was sweet!
Mr. Daniels is giving his Heisman Trophy the gleam it so richly deserves. Taking the NFL on in full stride, walking into the Lions den as the #1 seed and never faltered. O yeah and he's humble to. GODSPEED...
I watched Jayden Daniels play at LSU-I knew he would be special at the next level; love his calmness, focus, and determination to do whatever it takes to win-and he’s humble. I’m rooting for him to go all the way to the Super Bowl and the team has a chance to win it all. 😊
I did not have the Commanders heading to the NFC title game in my bingo card for 2025. Daniels is perfect for us and reminds me of RG3, but with a supportive coaching staff around his playing style. Winning seasons here we come!!!
Not going to anoint him yet, the Lions' D was decimated. That being said, I can't recall a rookie QB that had that much poise in a pressure situation in a hostile environment. The real test is next week in Philthy, & I hope he comes through. I can see why people are hyped on him, I'm rooting for him to do the impossible & win the Lombardi as a rookie.
@@Big_Yumthat's only because of five turnovers. Even one turnover will make you lose a playoff game Jared Goff played horrible 4 of them were unforced
Imagine JD winning the NFC championship MVP and Super Bowl MVP. That will make him the best rookie of all time regardless of position played. Very possible my friends, very possible.
And Jayden Daniels proved why every defense needs a damn good pass rush. You have to be fast and keep him in the pocket. He’s going to carve teams for a long time to come. Every rookie quarterback I ever saw does not handle the pressure like Daniels. They break down and throw picks, fumble or take a sack. They’re not firing the ball 40 yards down field spot on. Defensive coordinators right now are eyeballing their ‘25 season schedule to see if Washington is on it. They’re already preparing themselves. You know the Eagles, Bills and Chiefs are at this very moment! Man, if the Lions had Daniels they would have won 72-21.
Since the 1980s, I have been an avid supporter of this team. When I witnessed his debut in the NFL, I was astounded by his talent and believed that the Commanders had acquired a star player. I acknowledge that my expectations for this season weren't the highest, perhaps even a winning campaign. However, I did not anticipate a berth in the NFC Championship game. Looking forward to it, should be a good one.
Their have been over 5 rookies QBs who took their teams to the conference championship and all last Jayden would be the first ever rookie QB in NFL history to take his team to the Super Bowl and leading the offense he does this dude already a legend
This team has shown you don't need a bunch of big names just chemistry and blue collar work ethic. JD5, Dan Quinn, Terry, Luvu, Wagner and this whole team has brought pride back this fan base and I'm of them and proud to witness this with my own eyes. Great video 👍👍
They wouldn't even be there if Todd Bowles had a pair and went for it on 4th and 3 on the Commanders 14 yard line with 5 mins left. Perfect example of "playing to win" which is what the Commanders HC has been doing, and "playing not to lose" like the Bucs HC, which is why we're home and the Commanders are in the NFCCG. Respect when respect is due.
They're ranked 18th in scoring allowed. From the four teams that are still in the playoffs, besides the Commanders, only the Bills have a defense ranked outside the top ten in scoring allowed with a rank of 11th. Eagles are 2nd and Chiefs are 4th. Lions were 7th, Ravens were 9th, Rams were 17th and Texans were 14th.
I'm a Commanders fan and I wouldn't even say they're mid. They're bad. This team literally is a rebuild roster. The team leans heavy on Daniels converting and scoring to keep the other team off the field. It also seems to cause a lot of unforced errors. Don't get me wrong the defense does make splash plays. But down in and down out the defense is getting shredded. Even this game.
Every year my dad said put £50 on redskins to win superbowl you can't understand how mutch them winning it would mean to me after losing him to COVID would mean to me
If you told ANYONE before the season that the commanders would go to the NFC championships by beating the no. 1 seed. Not to mention they dropped 45 whole ass points on them
Man my family is a chiefs fan but im rooting for the commanders to enter the superbowl and for them to win Jayden could be the greatest rookie qb of all time
People shocked well when your quarterback turn the ball over four times in a playoff game you going to lose. Even one turnover in a playoff game can make you lose the game
@drew17210 i mean if the defense was able to make a stop those turnovers wouldn't have met crap, the lions suck on both sides of the ball, not having a healthy defense was a major problem as well as the turnovers. And this is coming from a lions fan.
What about if they win the Superbowl?!! Nobody remembers him if he wins the NFC Title. But if he and his teammates go out and when The Superbowl just think of the rare air that'll put him in. Not a Manning, not a Mahomes, not a Brady, not a Allen, not a Burrow (who I personally think is the 2nd Best QB in the league) but Burrows successor at LSU would go down as arguably having played the BEST rookie season ever.
in 2024 washington beats detroit to go to nfc championship for the first time since 1991, where they beat detroit to go on to win the super bowl. they also sent detroit on a 30-year streak without a playoff win, ending in 2023.
commanders defense is mid at best? you dont know what your talking about. The commanders defense was a huge part on that game. they forced 5 turnovers against arguably the best offence in the league. you did not think that thought through.
I'm a commanders fan and they would not have won without Jayden, but the biggest reason they won was because Goff had a terrible game. They have a bad O line and bad secondary. Even though they managed to catch several of Goff's terrible throws. And one Williams throw. They've had trouble guarding good receivers all year and they have almost no running game outside of Jayden sprinting around the end. Unless Philly gives them the game, they won't make it to the super bowl.
If The Washington [("Commanders"🙄)] Redskins go all the way to win Super Bowl LIX behind the senational young signal-caller Jayden Daniels, it might not be the first time a team won the NFL Championship with a rookie quarterback; it HAS been done before. In 1937, the Washington Redskins won that season's NFL Championship, upsetting the then-National Football League powerhouse Chicago Bears, 28-21, led by their rookie quarterback, "Slingin'" Sammy Baugh. Sammy Baugh, who spent his entire 16-year career with the Washington Redskins, was the very first quarterback inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, when the Hall first opened in 1963.
I been saying Detroit was a product of an easy schedule , they have a terrible defense and most of the guys are hurt , Washington got lucky to face them when they were totally depleted of defensive players .
Just think of all of those millions of dollars that people lost by betting on the Lions sure win.. Vegas is not going to leave billions of dollars. Just sitting on the table.
