- To showcase the organ and world-renowned organists, the new “Tabernacle Organ Virtuoso Performance Series” presents its second concert on Friday, November 4, at 7:30 p.m. in the Salt Lake Tabernacle with Dr. Andrew Unsworth. No tickets are required.
Few organs have such a storied history and are as well-known or highly regarded as the Tabernacle Organ on historic Temple Square in Salt Lake City. This world-renowned, iconic pipe organ with five manuals (keyboards) and 206 ranks of organ pipes is among the world’s largest instruments-and one of the most heralded. Its famous golden pipes, made of wood staves fashioned from Utah timber and visible on the front facade, still add to the sound of the famous instrument even today.

A wonderful recital from start to finish! I loved the opening Whitlock Fanfare...and everything else. Among the world's great organs, there are few that play everything with such convincing authenticity. Of course, a magnificent organ can sound no better than the player and Dr. Unsworth is more than equal to the challenge!
It would have been very helpful and informative to have heard Andrew's opening comments. Thank you for allowing us to hear the organ and watch Andrew Unsworth.

I am ceaselessly amazed that Mr. Unsworth plays every one of these phenomenally involved pieces from memory.
He is actually using a laptop with movement sensing to change screen pages as he plays. Hope this helps.
Looks like he has an iPad Pro, running ForScore as the music software. The pro version of the app has a feature that uses the camera for facial cues to turn the page. Some of the tabernacle organists have also used Bluetooth buttons on the console for the same purpose, though it doesn't look like they are attached in this video.
