I’m from nyc and I been wanting to move to florida for years. Miami and Hollywood area is my favorite. I just love south Florida, especially being a city girl already. This video was super helpful & enjoyable thank u
Glad you found the video helpful! We love Miami and Hollywood…both are great cities to choose from! Not as fast paced as NYC but you still get the city vibe and access to the beach!
Snow weather is only fun when you are a child; School is closed, you don’t have to work/ drive in the snow, no shoveling just playing etc. once you have a car, a job, become an adult, the snow simply turn into a pain in the a$$. I’m in Connecticut but I’m originally from the Carribbean but my family settled in boring/ cold Connecticut. I’m an outdoors person; hiking, walking, roller skating, swimming, boating, kayaking, biking etc I’m down for all of it. I want to be wearing shorts during Christmas not layers. It’s almost May and the weather had the nerve to drop… it’s cold and windy. I hate it here🤣🤣🤣

Thanks for the honesty! My biggest concern is the job opportunities not matching the cost of living. I’d love to know how you guys made it work, and what industries when it comes to new business’s have the opportunity to grow there. I’m currently thinking about starting a permanent makeup business, (I don’t speak Spanish) 🥴 but would love to know if there is money to be made there in this industry.
Sure thing! We can agree that most job opportunities here (not all) do not match the cost of living, unfortunately. 😩 however, the job market is still somewhat of an “employee market.” So a lot of companies are still actively hiring which gives you more leveraging power. We’d recommend doing a ton a research until you feel comfortable making the leap. We’re not too savvy in the makeup industry / market so we can’t fully speak on it, but since the pandemic we have seen an influx in entrepreneurs starting their own businesses - PMU, lashes, etc. We wish you the best on whichever decision you make! 😊🙏🏾
Thank you! Very interesting that you said it’s more of an employee market. Definitely don’t want to be an employee lol but that’s good to know! What industries are great for business’s out there if you don’t mind me asking?
Lol, oh yes that right! Sorry about that! The hospitality and finance industry are really big here in South FL. There are other job markets that are doing great that we aren’t aware of, but that’s two that we know of. Starting a business takes a courage. Kudos to you on your next chapter!
Hi! There are a bunch! It just depends on the area that you want to be in…whether you’re ant to be north or south. But to name a few: north Miami, Miami shores, sunny isles…going southwest, we have Kendall, Doral, cutler bay south Miami and coral gables (not in order) :)
In Florida, it don't matter how clean your house is, those roaches will be in your house! I remember I moved into a brand new apartment, first one to live there and then BAM! I see a roach. It got worse too once more people moved in. You just can't escape them. You can do everything right and still see them SMH
Hey! We’re not saying that there are roaches in everyone’s apartments/homes,etc. we’re just saying it’s common to see the palmetto roaches because the weather is similar to the tropics so if you’re afraid of big bugs here’s a heads up.
All of Florida is humid that’s not a Miami thing that’s a statewide issue literally fun fact north Florida and central actually gets more humid and hot than south Florida in reality that’s a false narrative the more south the hotter spend summer in steamy humid N.Florida lol 😂

We love Miami! Love the city, the vibes, and the weather! Definitely this time of year when it’s cold most other places in US
