I find it rather odd that there are burst fire versions of the chain gun and mini gun. They're bullet hoses, so why have burst fire functionality? I could see it making more sense if the burst fire used more rounds per burst but 3 rounds? That's off putting especially for the mini gun
It does say in the PDA that it increases the damage output, but in that case why not got for the High Power Chaingun/Minigun in that case? You'd get increased damage + fully automatic fire.
IDKFA litterly just makes you draw a bird... I'm not complaining... I like it... But testing each weapon is somewhat hard... BUT I KNOW THE BIRD DRAWING IS THE BEST WEAPON BECAUSE YOU GOTTA USE A CODE TO GET IT! ALL HAIL THE BIRD!
The High Power Nuclear BFG is bugged now. You try to fire it and sparks come out of the barrel and the red lights randomly blink and if you keep trying to fire it, it will make a BIG explosion and kill the player even with IDDQD on. It doesn't work in 2022 like it did at the time of this video. There's also a shotgun that fires the first two shots after you pick it up and then it will never reload again. Also the Voltgun doesn't fire in that pattern either. Maybe those weapons act funny like that because I'm running other mods along with it like war trophies, Doom RPG, monster cards, etc. But other than those 3 weapons all the others work as intended.
High Power Nuclear BFG is not bugged, you just needed a specific gear for that, trust me. Nuclear Backpack, Nuclear Armour or something like that. That, or you need to add some Bulk Addon (I don't know how is it called anymore, sorry, didn't play the RLA in a long time, I just know it goes by Bulk something) Don't know about the Shotgun really or about the Voltgun, I would have to take a look on it myself. If I will, I'll let you know.
@@GuraiMockery Hey there N7, I'm glad you replied because I did some testing with this mod yesterday and when I run it by itself without any other mod that gun works perfectly but when I added a monster mod or Doom RPG it stops. Good to know about that gear and addon. I'll check that out. Also, that shotgun's problem might be acting up because of me since I set GZDoom on infinite ammo all the time. The Voltgun could be all those other mods I use interfering with it. Not sure tho and will do some testing on it. Thanks for the reply!

From the version i was playing, there is a hidden class called the commando, which recieve bonuses for melee attacks and more natural resistance to damage. If you get a one two uppercut combo and you gib on the last hit you get berserk without the health bonus. to use this player class either edit the mod files or use the console command "playerclass commando" in game then reload the map via "map *" The uppercut on a zerked commando is one of the hardest hitting things in the game, and also one of the hardest to land without getting damaged. Get some armor with good melee protection and give them the fist of DOOM. Better yet, if you get some extra damage and faster attack augs on the Doom RPG SE Addon, and buff up the Damage stat to ungodly levels, you basically become three punch man. I was able to end a spider mastermind with two uppercuts. you need enough buffer health/armor/shields to sustain the retaliation but man oh man it's so much fun to just splatter everything on your path using your bare fists!

Assault, according to the game, is semi-auto conversion. It sacrifices the firerate for accuracy and higher damage. The firearm recieving more powerful calibre while changing it's mechanism as well is probably the case... although the magazine size stays the same for some reason. I have no idea how it works, but as Todd Howards says; "It just works!"

Is the Neural Stunner (2:20) from like...Captain Keen? I know the Longhorn Revolver (2:24) is literally the starting weapon fron the Guncaster mod....the one where you play as a humanoid dragon...it basically fires like...20mm rounds almost...not really meant for human use which is why the Marine is holding it with both hands. Cygnus (the Dragon from Guncaster I think?) Holds it one handed and can even dual wield them with the gunzerker powerup
Gonna be a while before we can miniaturize a nuclear reactor for space flight (or for normal flight), then it won't be hugely long before we can put one in an infantry weapon. A plasma gun would then have some kinda chance since the power generation would be at least partially solved, but keeping the plasma bolt together for long enough will be another huge problem to solve, if someone is to be believed.
It's alternative hud you can get by pressing the hud - / hud + (one of those, I'm not really sure)... basically those keys between Backspace and Numeric keys.
hey do you reckon you would be able to turn off texture filtering and turn off sprites face camera for a couple of videos? i reckon it looks much better without those settings

I've heard a lot of people that don't play doom say doomguy lugging around all those weapons was unrealistic They probably thought it was like this, compared to the reasonable set he does have

@@GuraiMockery Why not increase the number of slots you can carry for each weapon? Well, 6 seems little to me and I want it to be 10. And that each slot you can carry a maximum of 4 types of weapons. Imagine carrying in each slot, 4 Chainsaws, 4 Fist Weapons, 4 Pistols, 4 Shotguns, 4 Super Shotguns, 4 Machine Guns, 4 Miniguns, 4 Rocket Launchers, 4 Plasma Guns and 4 BFGs. And in case you can't carry more weapons, that these can be saved in the inventory, and I want the inventory to be infinite, so that you can get all the weapons in the game and even get an achievement for it.
@@jpc-273 You realise it goes by the original DooM formula where you had basically six weapon slots, right? Pistol, Shotgun, Chaingun, Rocket Launcher, Plasma Rifle & BFG9000. Minus the fist slot because that didn't really count back then (if you look at the original hud). Sure, if you want to go into details, you had 9 weapons and they could along that, but that isn't up to me to decide. What I would do however, is to give it inventory system like in let's say Fallout, including the carry weight and you could switch between the weapons. That's just my idea of how I would change it.
It's Called Test1 or Test2, I believe. One of those. Anyways, the bad news Is that this map Is exclusive to DRLA itself And I have never saw it being released as a separate map, hence why it's only in this video And not in any others.

It was made in the way, that i always switched 6 weapons every time... of course, if i would do some research back in the day... i could hold them all thanks to cheat "Give Everything"... but i didnt think about it, so i did it the way its done.

The High Power Nuclear BFG9000's unstable reactor is fixed by adding two Bulk Modpacks to the weapon
You should try the Triad Cannon with the Firestorm Mod Pack. It adds the Flamewall to the mix.

It's alternative hud you can get by pressing the hud - / hud + (one of those, I'm not really sure)... basically those keys between Backspace and Numeric keys.

It works with newer version, yes. Not So sure with the Freedom though. You have to try it yourself

I want them to remove the limit on how many weapons you can carry. This is Doom, not Call of Duty. Says someone who comes from having played Russian Overkill.
Point taken, although considering the fact you would have to scroll through 200+ weapons, I think the limit Is there for that reason.
@@GuraiMockery Why not increase the number of slots you can carry for each weapon? Well, 6 seems little to me and I want it to be 10. And that each slot you can carry a maximum of 4 types of weapons. Imagine carrying in each slot, 4 Chainsaws, 4 Fist Weapons, 4 Pistols, 4 Shotguns, 4 Super Shotguns, 4 Machine Guns, 4 Miniguns, 4 Rocket Launchers, 4 Plasma Guns and 4 BFGs. And in case you can't carry more weapons, that these can be saved in the inventory, and I want the inventory to be infinite, so that you can get all the weapons in the game and even get an achievement for it.
@@jpc-273 You realise it goes by the original DooM formula where you had basically six weapon slots, right? Pistol, Shotgun, Chaingun, Rocket Launcher, Plasma Rifle & BFG9000.
Minus the fist slot because that didn't really count back then (if you look at the original hud). Sure, if you want to go into details, you had 9 weapons and they could along that, but that isn't up to me to decide.
What I would do however, is to give it inventory system like in let's say Fallout, including the carry weight and you could switch between the weapons. That's just my idea of how I would change it.

It's very hard weapon to find from my knowledge, So you either have to be lucky or you can cheat.
Place high tier weapons into a fabricator, and there is a chance you might find one. Keyword: A CHANCE.

It's Called Test1 or Test2, I believe. One of those. Anyways, the bad news Is that this map Is exclusive to DRLA itself And I have never saw it being released as a separate map, hence why it's only in this video And not in any others.

It was made in the way, that i always switched 6 weapons every time... of course, if i would do some research back in the day... i could hold them all thanks to cheat "Give Everything"... but i didnt think about it, so i did it the way its done.

Nuclear and nano guns need no ammo
Nuclear are charging themselves over short period of time, and nano are basically weaker but require no ammo.
@@GuraiMockery the way both need no ammo is they dont use any of the ammo pools unlike their normal counter part
Dude what is even the point of some of these 'assault' weapons? Like the Assault Minigun, aren't miniguns supposed to have a really high rate of fire? And then you have this useless assembly that makes a MINIGUN shoot 1 bullet each second, lol
