They can eat several squash, greens,grass weeds, dandelions free of chemicals and roses,rose of sharon,hibiscus, both flowers and leaves, as well mulberry leaves 🍃. If you don't treat your grass of chemicals put him outside in natural sun to graze for grass and weeds daily . When you soak him put more warm water and let him sit for 15-25 minutes..giving lettuce has no nutritional value it's like giving him water.so no spinach or kale but collards mustard and turnip greens you can plant in a raised garden and put him in to graze. When indoors add calcium powder to his salad . He eats way more than a few leaves.
Cats depend on and are very aware of their agility and when you put things on them it confuses them and they will lie down because they know something is not right. Maybe just try clamping the leash to the collar. They will also do the same thing when people make the big mistake of trying to put clothes on them
