I had the best flashback….. the Rossini wine jug …. Friday after thanksgiving 1982 refilled empty jug with vodka Collins to bring to a party walked in and dropped it shattered and was called “ VC Mo” for a year… and how is it possible that’s 40 years ago?
Thanks Lucky Treasures. Many reasons I had to stop the news. I went into this in depth in a recent member live stream. I appreciate you watching the picking vids.
Every time I sse the ghost and weird tales comic books I wince and think of a buy I made as a young guy in 1983. Bought a shop going out of business and traveled to buy it out of state. About 34,000 comics...I picked up for 8 cents each but pulled out 15,000 and sold to flea market friend back home for 10 cents each. Had multiple stock copies of all the monster, weird tales etc. In that stock . But I kept the silver age runs in multiples of superheroes to trade and fill collection at time. Super deal but no telling how many Werewolf by Nights, Tomb of Draculas, etc that wish I had now. :-)
Yeah, that's the thing...how long to hold and when to sell. Ya gotta sell at at some point unless you are going to pass it down to relatives. I think we are all just temporary stewards of these great items so that's how I try to look at it when I sell.
I remember my parents drinking that wine too, lol. I always enjoy the humor you bring to your videos i.e. coconut Hawaiian carving I'd call her COCO.... LMAO!!!!
Hi, I have watched several of your older videos recently and wanted to comment on them. First just want to let you know I am related to the drummer Buddy Rich thru the philanthropist Richard Rich of Boston going back thru my Mayflower heritage. I never met Buddy Rich but grew up hearing about him as my father was also a drummer. Second my comment is about the Dangling earrings that you bought the whole box and were stumped as to why they did not sell on ebay. My thought is because you priced them high for ebay. Fashion jewelry sells for very cheap only, you would be lucky to get $5.00 for those earrings and even at that price they would be long tail. I have several name brand similar earrings listed forever , they just do not seem to sell right now. So it was not anything you did, they are nice earrings just that most ebay sellers sell them too cheap it makes it hard to get the price they should get.
Thanks. We sold some as singles but then just bulk sold out the rest. That definitely was not a good buy. Live and learn! Very cool you are related to Buddy Rich!
Just curious what do you do for a living? You are knowledgeable when it comes to buying items and of course comics. Enjoy your videos. Your Canadian fan Melody

Some places have staff in the rooms but it's often based on trust. There is lots of theft that occurs at estate sales. Estate sale dealers will tell you that.
I saw the biggest D MOVE I have ever seen so far at an estate sale today. I got there 2 hours early and was number 2 in line. Another guy was 1 and this lady was 3rd. She asked what we were there for. I told her I had no specific targets. #1 said he was just looking a cameras. The lady said "Good, I really want the pink Corning Wear." She needed a couple of ( the 8 pieces listed ) to complete her set. As soon as they let us in, #1 grabbed all the pink Corning wear, She asked if she could get the pieces she needed and he said no. She asked him why he let her wait for almost 2 hours if he knew he was going to take it. It was all she wanted. He gave some lame answer and she left. I wanted to call him out but I wanted to avoid a scene. But it was a D MOVE and I'll remember him....

First time watching one of your videos. I enjoyed how you discussed why you were picking up the items you did and leaving behind certain ones. What I didn’t enjoy was while you were at the the estate sale I don’t know why you found it necessary to point out cobwebs, dead insects, rat dropping, etc. Also why you had to pick up the lid on the hot tub and point out that the floor was dirty. I thought the video was about reselling not housekeeping. Not to mention you were entering someone’s home that gave you permission to film then your going to turn around and do them dirty. I feel that is being very rude and disrespectful!
You are taking things the wrong way. I am stating facts about the house I am in that are important to pay attention to because when you are in a situation where there is dirtiness and disrepair, it is going to make it more challenging to find items because the items will be affected by this too. You saw that with the leather shoes for example that were dried and cracked. The person was not in a state where they could care for the items properly. That’s not saying anything is bad about the owner. It’s just the reality of the situation and it’s worth noting. Also, these are important things to keep in mind when treasure hunting because you have to be careful of what you touch and where you touch for health reasons. I hunt for treasures on this channel and explore. That includes looking inside of things. For all I know, I could have opened that hot tub and found something very interesting that was stored inside. So, I am going to show the reality of these homes whether clean or dirty and keep it real. I am not going to make the house look another way than it’s not.
