• Krsna and His Devotee ...
The gopis are so committed and attuned to Krsna. They became forgetful about everything - their souls, their bodies, their brothers, sons, husbands. They forgot everything. However they had remembrance of Krsna’s name, form, qualities and pastimes.
But the munis [ascetics] forget their own identity and become merged in Brahman [the effulgence of Krsna]. The munis even forget Brahma. They have no mamata [my-ness] for Brahma nor does Brahma have any my-ness for the practitioner.
However, when it comes to Krsna’s devotees and Krsna - they both have mamata [my-ness towards each other]. [Krsna says] He is My devotee. He is dearer to Me than My life. I am their heart and soul and they are Mine.

ये गोपियाँ कृष्णचन्द्र के प्रति ऐसी प्रतिबद्ध और अनुसङ्ग है कि उन्होंने अपना सब कुछ अपनी आत्मा, शरीर और शरीर के अतिरिक्त में जो भी वस्तु हैं जैसे- भाई,पुत्र,पति सबको विस्मरण कर दिया किन्तु [उन्हें] कृष्ण का नाम, रूप, लीला आदि सब कुछ स्मरण रहा। मुनि लोग अपना नाम,रूप सब भूल जाते हैं और ब्रह्म में मिल जाते हैं।
ब्रह्म को भी भूल जाते हैं [क्योंकि उनकी] ब्रह्म में भी ममता नहीं होती और न ही किसी साधक में ममता होती। किन्तु कृष्ण की भक्तों में और [भक्तों की] कृष्ण में, दोनों की ही [एक-दूसरे से] ममता होती है कि यह मेरे प्राणप्रिय भक्त हैं। मैं इनका हृदय हूँ और यह मेरा हृदय है।
