It was cold af. Proud of Coogs lack of penalties and turnovers in the game. Nice way to end the season. Now it’s time to win Nat Champ in hoops !
Louisiana completely blew this game. So many penalties, key TOs, blown coverages and bad play calls.
Yea our team has some issues since Coach Billy left
This used to be a halfway decent bowl game that was played on 12/30 or 12/31 three decades ago. Now it's being played 2 or 3 days before Christmas. Shows you how far down this bowl game has fallen. Almost irrelevant now.
@@k1ngcrxzy2x I like the coach we have now and the recruiting class he has coming in is looking really good I like how he's focusing on the O and D line because football is won in the trenches. He's going to have UL competing for the Sunbelt title again
Cardiac Coogs making yet another come back for the win! Go Coogs!
Good win cougars!
Good win for UH, but still a disappointing season. Going to be a rough first year in the Big 12 if we don't get a few 4/5 star recruits.
I'm a Tulane fan but I'm routing for UH success on the next level
Tank dell so slept on
He’s being a Cleveland Brown soon
I want him in the NFL, but not for Cleveland though! LOL! 😝
Tank going to Miami
Couldn't find highlights of johnny lumpkin but he is looking solid in this game hopefully he makes it in new England
That last play was legit! Great route, good grab and what a way to finish for that TD! Well done guys! Go Coogs!!
Tank is that guy
Good game Houston.👍
Coldest football game I’ve ever attended in decades of football attendance. 23 degrees at kickoff. With the moisture in the air and a wicked wind it felt like it was at least ten degrees colder than that. Multiple layers head to toe. Gloves. Didn’t matter. It may not look it but it was brutal out there.
no.88 louisiana is a 1st round pro
Congratulations Houston
Louisiana lost the game more than Houston won. I don't understand the fumbling twice.
A Cougars’ fan here and I totally agree. It seems UH’s season was that way, just above mediocre and they were supposed to be better than that.
Well, it’s the Cougars Defense that caused those fumbles, Louisiana’s didn’t throw the ball away on purpose you know!
It was 22 degrees out there
I was at the game but i left at 4th cuz my feet were FREEZING AND I HAD THREE LAYERS OF CLOTHING ON
WTH happened to this bowl game? Three decades ago it was played on 12/30 or 12/31. Now it's 12/22 or 12/23. WTH?!
It was absolutely cold ASF out there! I wish the refs were out there making fair calls but they weren't, which is sad! Between the refs and the announcers, you could definitely see who they wanted to win! That's unfortunate for both teams. Fyi, we're not sore losers so congrats to Houston!
I did not see the game but if what you're saying is true and it very well could be, I fully understand why you would be making the comment in regards to the referees. It does not make someone a sore loser to be making obvious comments about referees not doing their job. That being said God-bless the head coach of Houston I really do respect the fact that he wore a Mississippi state S weather in honor of Mike Leach, I'm a die hard life long bulldog and it made my day . God-bless you and I hope that you have a wonderful Christmas.
Go Coogs!!
Rigged game. Who goes for the td instead of the fg in that last possession? A coach who bet on his team is the answer.
salty gamblers we all need GA
i had -6
@@theinternetsucks2237 I had +7
I take it you've never watched college football before and seen how terrible college kickers are.
@@kylee6778an FCS game ended like that with the cover it happens it's like a reverse bad beat (or a bad beat for YOUR side)
Let's go sunbelt, the Sun belt is becoming slowly but surely, the best group of five conference in college.
Half of the teams in the SBC are not even good.
lol get a load of this guy
@@jabarijones8091 wym? James Madison 8-3, Troy 12-2, South Alabama 10-3, 9-4 Marshall. Not to mention that a mid app state team that finished 3-5 in conference play, finished the season 6-6 beat Texas A&M. Marshall beat Notre dame who’s ranked 19 rn. Troy finished in the top 25. The sunbelt is consistently competing with other conferences. Not to mention that it’s James Madison year 1 so they weren’t allowed to play in a bowl game.
@@ItsdemontimeDarius And the rest of the teams are bad. That is the reason why I said half of the teams are not good.
Point taken. Troy took care of business against solid UTSA team. Loved App State taking huge dump on Aggies season and winning at Kyle Field.
Even with this outcome, Clemson continues to dominate Ohio St.
Raging Cajuns need to stick to gumbo and quit football
Cap, they consistently went to (and won) the New Orleans Bowl a couple years back. They just need to get their act together and rebuild. Tulane and LSU had great seasons this year (Tulane's Cotton Bowl win brought tears to my eyes). New coach just means growing pains. I think they will get back to their former glory eventually, it will just take time. The old coach was trash, so a decent season/bowl appearance is good enough for me.
@@thecoyaknow_2004 I felt nothing but joy win Tulane won its been a long 84 years and I hope they can continue to grow as a program. I like the coach that UL has and he understands what he needs to compete because I'm really liking the recruiting class he's putting together. He's focusing on the D and O line because he knows football is won in the trenches plus you should see the size of the players he has coming in on both sides of the ball including multiple receivers that are 6'3 or taller. I really like what he's doing
Dana sure couldn’t win bowl games at wvu
