After mbbs MD microbiology will have better pay( from my limited knowledge) than PhD in microbiology ,you can do small scale research in medical Colleges.if you are targeting MD microbiology from 1st year itll be easier for you to get MD microbiology in top institutes because no one will study to get microbiology seat(EVERYONE WANTS MEDICINE SURGERY OR RADIOLOGY)..but you will have a difficult time convincing your parents that you will become a non treating doctor after mbbs..if you manage to convince your parents and is ok with 80k-1lakh salary after MD(minimum 27years).then you will enjoy your entire journey from mbbs to MD ( except houseurgency /internship).

There will still be some who are confused, who wants mbbs but worried about the negatives. If you have genuine interest to study medicine, then just go for it, dont overthink. Everybody's a little anxious before internship. No need to overthink, you will be fine. Will be very hectic, because of that you wont really get time to think about communication issues, it will all just happen, you will adapt faster than you think😅. After mbbs MD microbiology will have better pay( from my limited knowledge) than PhD in microbiology ,you can do small scale research in medical Colleges.if you are targeting MD microbiology from 1st year itll be easier for you to get MD microbiology in top institutes because no one will study to get microbiology seat(EVERYONE WANTS MEDICINE SURGERY OR RADIOLOGY)..but you will have a difficult time convincing your parents that you will become a non treating doctor after mbbs..if you manage to convince your parents and is ok with 80k-1lakh salary after MD(minimum 27years).then you will enjoy your entire journey from mbbs to MD ( except houseurgency /internship).

Vloggers always glorify the best moments in their life. Please don't fall into that trap. Mbbs life has its own ups and downs as he said in this video. There are many videos which gives false motivation especially the ones from north about taking drops. And if you think you are lazy I would suggest you to not take a drop year and choose a profession you love and is less hindersome than mbbs. If you are really passionate about this profession no worries a drop year is worth it. But if not rethink!! Taking a drop is challenging and mentally exhausting and the guilt you will feel after messing it up would be even more scarier so think twice or thrice.

@gillyelk what you said is more applicable for an engineering degree, perhaps. Mbbs is not the most complicated thing to learn, its the vast syllabus thats a challenge. Most of it is basically like research and training. I agree age has effect on our cognition, but its not that significant for a degree like mbbs. The real issue in this case is the total time it will take to complete the course.

Yes.. There is no campus interview in even AIIMS or any government medical college, like that seen in top engineering colleges. No hospital is going to give extra salary because you have passed MBBS from AIIMS. Even if you passed MBBS from AIIMS, private hospital will give you the same salary that they are giving to doctors who have passed MBBS from Ukraine, China etc or from other private medical colleges in India. But, students who have studied Btech in IIT or MBA from IIM get more than 5 lakh per month..
