Thank for sharing. So kind of you thank. Got to clean my this week. I'm going do better by wiping it down after doing the dishes each day. Again thank you and your oven is beautiful job well done.
I was so afraid of cleaning my oven because I’ve never clean my oven and I’ve been using it for over 10 years. I thought it was gonna take me hours and hours but your video show me tips and tricks and reassured me that it would be easy. I appreciate your video. Helped me a lot in my oven is now clean.
Good idea with the plastic wrap and scraper. I would always wear gloves using Easy Off. You can turn on your oven fan if you have one, too. If your side walls and back are not too bad, I use a stiff spatula or rubber spatula because I have short arms - scrape off as much of that stuff as I can wiping on a paper towel before I rinse it. Just saves alot of time with the rinsing. Great video. I hate cleaning the oven.
Good tips. Easy Off Fume Free is actually safe to use without gloves. And, it doesn't have a strong smell or VOC's. So, you won't even need a fan. It's so much better than the original Easy Off.
I think that’s because it’s so hard to get a good shot at that angle in a small space. But, it’s exactly the same. If your heating elements are up there, cover them completely with foil (they can’t have cleaner on them, then clean, rinse clean, remove foil 👍 Also, I’m guessing you cook with a lot of uncovered oil in the oven (if the ceiling is the dirtiest part). I really don’t, so my ceiling isn’t very messy. Good luck!!
Once I was done done with the easy off, I felt there was still a cleaning smell in the oven. A day later, I mixed equal parts water and white vinegar into a spray bottle and it neutralized the smell. I think it's all about trusting the process, your oven looked identical to how dirty was mine and I did the same I'd respray areas to get to the bottom of the gunk and it slowly started to work until it was all gone. I love your explanation and your time lapse, that this requires some elbow grease its not a magical poof gone type of job.
I'm reading the comments and I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who never cleaned her oven. Looks like a lot more work than I want to do so I think I'm going to go with Zep commercial oven and grill cleaner its not fume free but it looks like it's less work and faster.
Thanks for the cleaning video! I was amazed recently when I used pomice stone (non toxic). Just took a small bowl of water & dipped the pomice stone in it. You must keep the stone wet. When I worked on the bottom of the oven I just poured some water in the bottom. Just purchased additional pomies (pomice stones) at Menards for $1.98 each. The one stone I had when I cleaned the oven- cleaned the bottom & door & some of the sides.
You'll scratch up the inside of your oven with those stones and then dirt sticks a lot more to it. Gets dirty faster. Same for toilets, use those on toilets and you'll scratch the porcelain and it'll develop grime faster and more.
No shame for not cleaning your oven! I've had mine 10 years, only cleaned it once. Not recently. Hence me showing up here, to figure out how to do it better (I struggled with baking soda & vinegar last time, worried about using chemicals... But now I'll try fume free easy off)
@@meriandimond5442 easy off worked like a dream and didn't damage the oven... But I did get a pretty gnarly chemical burn (with a scar months later now) from a very tiny hole in my glove. I will be more careful next time, but for an extremely dirty baked on grime oven, 100% easy off. I didn't have to scrub at ALL. It wiped away. Scrubbing with abrasives had previously left some scratches, but to be fair, I have never used the pink stuff for anything, so maybe it works just as well. I'm any case, I would call that a twice a decade task, personally. I do plan to wipe the sides more frequently now too

I have to open the windows and run a fan near the oven to blow the cooking fumes away from the alarms when I use broiler. 😞
Don't spray on a pilot light? Hopefully 🤞 everyone shut their gas off before cleaning their oven. You should wear gloves and open a window and you can leave it overnight. Finally someone who uses the product designed for the job. Where is your bucket of water? Use a wet rag from your bucket of water to wipe out your oven.
With Easy Off Fume Free you actually don't need to use gloves or open windows. It really doesn't have a strong smell. This product is so much easier to use than the older oven sprays.
I got the easy off HEAVY DUTY, and even with a covid mask, fumes had me coughing and dizzy...yeah, fume free the way to go...but that easy off IS like magic. the paste i made with baking soda, water and vinegar does not begin to compare.
Thanks for sharing your experiences. I hate using anything with a strong smell. It’ll keep me awake all night, if I can still smell it. Fume free is definitely the only oven cleaner I use. 😊
Very well explained video with the safety tips 👏
Thanks!
You did good 👍 easy off regular is too fumed with toxic chemicals! I believe it’s what killed my mother . 1981
I can’t believe how many fumes we used to breathe in the 80’s and 90”s. I’m glad we have better choices now. 😊
You really should be wearing rubber gloves doing this this stuff can eat your skin off
Like I explained in the video, this particular cleaner is safe on hands. No gloves required. 👍
Spray Nine is your best friend. Buy it by the gallon because you can use it on anything.
I’d never heard of it until your comment. But it gets great reviews. I’ll have to try it! Thanks for the tip!
The fact that my wife says my convection oven is disgusting and it’s far cleaner than this , I’m ok . I’ll survive .
I'm glad to help...prove to your wife that it could be worse. ;)
My oven has heating elements on top and bottom. Do you think I could wrap the bottom heating element in foil to protect it from the cleaner?
Great idea!!! Just remember to remove it when you’re done. 😊
Yes. Yes I learn the hard way. They heated element had to be replace but I had a clean oven. Lol I'm going cover the heated element with aluminum foil
