If the two are at the same price I'd go for the superglide pad. The niche that the SpeedM exists due to the normal price gap sine you can get glass-like performance on the SpeedM for a much cheaper price than a glass pad. The other big reason is durability, glass will last technically forever while the SpeedM due do it's material won't least nearly as long. I still love the SpeedM, I think it's a really cool pad but when it's priced the same as a Superglide I'd go for the glasspad.
I wouldn't recommend using glass, ceramic or gem skates on it since the surface is softer than glass etc so it'd most likely damage the surface. To be honest just using PTFE dots felt like using superglides.
Hey! So the larger ones I used on my Keychon M3 came with the SpeedM but they're not that good. The ones I used on my Vaxee Outset AX & HyperX Haste 2 were the X-RayPad Jade (speed) & Obsidian (control) skates (which are VERY good). You can find them on X-Raypad's website, they also make pre-cut versions of the Jade & Obsidian skates for a bunch of mice models too if you don't want to get dots.

The big thing is that you generally want to avoid using skates that are harder than the mousepad surface (unless you're using gem, ceramic or glass on fabric). But in terms of the SpeedM the obsidian are ever so slightly softer than the surface of the SpeedM so I didn't run into any issues!
I got this pad and I love it I like how fast it is but I also feel like I have pretty good control (I'm using the dot skates that came with the pad). I also do have to mention that I did slightly chip the side of the pad slightly damaging the top layer but nothing actually noticeable unless you look for it and it happened randomly when I ran off the pad and the bottom of my mouse caught the side and I just pulled it without much thought.
Oh wow, I'm honestly surprised the skate damaged the surface like that, whenever the stocks hit the edge of my pad they just fell off! Hopefully the pad is still usable! I'd highly recommend getting an aftermarket set of skates for the SPEEDM though, the stocks aren't very good. I used the Xraypad Jade skates and they felt great!
can you please tell me if it's possible to cut it I need a small 7 x 9"… I hope you see this comment. I'm thinking about buying it but I have to be able to cut it into a smaller pad. It's just the use I have for it

Ok so "technically" you can cut the SpeedM to a smaller size but I'd HIGHLY recommend against that, the resin surface layer is very fragile and will warp or break if you try and cut it, also the edges will be very sharp once cut. You'd be much better off buying a goof fabric pad and cutting that down to size as fabric won't break or warp.

I'm looking for the speed smoothness but I realize it'll probably just wear out really quick. which sucks… That was why I was asking about resin.take care and thanks for answering
@@mel0nFPS those are consistent recommended to me so I did order both types to try (also on sale through c-raypad directly). I think waiting is worth it (was gonna slap lamzu dots on it first)

I just bought the Vancer Ace and it’s butter smooth. I don’t really like the feedback noise from the surface. Vancer Ace solves that for me.

How loud is it compared to glass? I dont mean the noise of swiping, but when you recenter the mouse. Picking it up and release it again.

Does your skin stick to it?
I didn't find the surface to stick too much however I still recommenced using an arm sleeve as the edges of the pad can be rather irritating to skin.

you can’t get feet size specific feet like on the Attack Shark X3 so I’ll NEED Dot skates.
I'd recomend getting the Xraypad Obsidian or Jade dot skates, those are the best ones I've used so far!
