@@moss1w Yes, now the camp is divided into two just like the Cold War. There’s the eastern side (Russia, China and Iran) going against the west (USA, Canada and Mexico). As you may know, India, Brazil and Turkey might go into China’s camp as China is trading with all 3 of them. Right now, it may not seem like a big deal, because India is still leaning towards the west. However, the uncertain decisions that the west take just makes the friendship really tough. If India, Brazil and Turkey joins China, Russia and Iran, this might result into a new Cold War, if not WW3. WW3 seems unlikely but it is a possibility as you never know what leaders are thinking. Right now, it’s only the beginning of a humanitarian disaster. Edit: I’ll always be on the Russian side if this really happens. I choose to remain neutral in the Russo-Ukrainian conflict, but against the whole west, I’m definitely not neutral.

Putin grew up when Soviet Union was properous, they all were so proud people, they had the best of everything, they were far ahead of USA in the race. Adult Putin saw the fall of USSR, the struggle, instability and crime it brought in. People who were once so proud of their country were leaving the same land in thousands each year. One can understand how it all must have been, how it made Putin so ambitious about Russia's future.

This is not a typical military band, this is a symphonic orchestra. There are sections with trombones, wooden bassoons, flugelhorns, etc. The orchestration tells the sound was supposed to be mellow yet majestic.

The orchestration they chose together with the phrasing and dynamics makes this so good, the conductor is clearly really skilled and he has a very capable band. Probably the best performance I have ever heard.

Well this one is my new favorite version of the Russian/USSR anthem.. The music they played was so elegant and beautiful and I reacted with some feels I can't even describe.. This is probably the opposite version of the original version which more like a revolution song or a people's anthem that is so energetic and patriotic.. Both are really great, but I prefer this one..

@YotoBoto der Boomer hat sich etwas übertrieben ausgedrückt, aber er hat leider recht (hab es damals live gesehen und es war viel schneller) - die Bildsequenz wurde in der Geschwindigkeit nicht verändert (an ein paar Stellen nur geringfügig durch Wiederholung verlängert), das stimmt - die Tonspur ist allerdings extrem fake. Der Takt ist ggü. dem Original verlangsamt und die Tonhöhen sind teils korrigiert sowie die Frequenzrate nach unten korrigiert (dieses leichte Rauschen). Leicht erkennen kannst du es btw an den Posaunenbewegungen (passen nicht zu den Tonänderungen) und an den Taktvewegunngen des Dirigenten, die überhaupt nicht mehr passen. Ziel war, dass es extrem dramatisch klingt - das Original war das sehr viel zackiger, weniger emotional, militärischer halt (+ein paar schiefe Töne bei den hohen Trompetensequenzen, die noch korrigiert wurden). The fundamental point here is in brilliant approach. The anthem is magnificently well played, however the overall texture of the music is softened. Brilliant, Vladimir did like the subtle massage.
I am not surprised Germany got this piece right, they’ve been through so much. They speak volumes of history with loss, and, yes, this music awakens a past of war. It probably stirs something for Putin, a calling. This is so beautiful, it would remind me of everything my country is and what it tries to accomplish. Part of me thinks Merkel may know this has triggered something for him. An eerily, sad and lonely, but dangerous emotion that will shake up the world. Thanks so much for the post.

That was beautiful! The bands the German government uses for these diplomatic receptions are really really good. I saw a video with the President of Germany Frank-Walther Steinmeier, and the King of the Netherlands, Willem Alexander. They were meeting outside a government building in Germany, and the band played both anthems. Honestly, I thought both men were tearing up - they both seemed deeply moved. It was fabulous. The first thing they did when they walked over to review the troops was started talking about the music. The King made a point of walking up to the conductor, and greeting him personally!

Damn, Putin looks different here. He lived in Berlin before the wall was taken down, he lived with his family there. He was then a young guy. Maybe he's getting back some memories with also the anthem. He said that he felt like he's leaving his home when the wall was taken down and he was supposed to go. In the 80s, smuggling of high-tech components from the West went through Dresden, and as a young KGB officer he was probably involved in it. This is not a typical military band, this is a symphonic orchestra. There are sections with trombones, wooden bassoons, flugelhorns, etc.
The orchestration tells the sound was supposed to be mellow yet majestic.

Well this one is my new favorite version of the Russian/USSR anthem.. The music they played was so elegant and beautiful and I reacted with some feels I can't even describe.. This is probably the opposite version of the original version which more like a revolution song or a people's anthem that is so energetic and patriotic.. Der Takt ist ggü. dem Original verlangsamt und die Tonhöhen sind teils korrigiert sowie die Frequenzrate nach unten korrigiert (dieses leichte Rauschen). Leicht erkennen kannst du es btw an den Posaunenbewegungen (passen nicht zu den Tonänderungen) und an den Taktvewegunngen des Dirigenten, die überhaupt nicht mehr passen.
Ziel war, dass es extrem dramatisch klingt - das Original war das sehr viel zackiger, weniger emotional, militärischer halt (+ein paar schiefe Töne bei den hohen Trompetensequenzen, die noch korrigiert wurden).

The fundamental point here is in brilliant approach. The anthem is magnificently well played, however the overall texture of the music is softened. Brilliant, Vladimir did like the subtle massage.
I am not surprised Germany got this piece right, they’ve been through so much. They speak volumes of history with loss, and, yes, this music awakens a past of war. It probably stirs something for Putin, a calling. This is so beautiful, it would remind me of everything my country is and what it tries to accomplish. Part of me thinks Merkel may know this has triggered something for him. An eerily, sad and lonely, but dangerous emotion that will shake up the world. Thanks so much for the post.

I saw a video with the President of Germany Frank-Walther Steinmeier, and the King of the Netherlands, Willem Alexander. They were meeting outside a government building in Germany, and the band played both anthems. Honestly, I thought both men were tearing up - they both seemed deeply moved. It was fabulous. The first thing they did when they walked over to review the troops was started talking about the music. The King made a point of walking up to the conductor, and greeting him personally!

Russia is not an enemy to Germany. They have hold successful relationship, indeed, in the last 20 years, not only political, but also economical. Both countries are closely related due to historical reasons... Who knows, maybe USA is slowly becoming a thread , instead of Russia, not just for Germany, but for the rest of the EU nations. In an age of decline, the decaying empire will try to raise its head by relying on the heads of others (we europeans, of course), you know, as has always happened throughout history.
