Waitrose is amazing quality but so expensive! I only go there specifically for occasional luxuries like their Mexican lime cordial, which is great or the garlic and ginger infused stirfry oil. Otherwise I use both Lidl and Aldi mostly. I love cooking and eating, and its possible to do it cheaper, but it takes time and effort to go to several places. @ nothing exciting today, just a lazy Sunday. It’s a bit cold for the first time in weeks 19c. We’ve been averaging about 30c+, so it’s a nice change to wear shoes and grey track pants ha ha ha. Oh, just to make you boys jelly… I am making roast lamb with roast veggies for dinner. We don’t do the Yorkshire pudding thing, it’s not really an Aussie thing. But we’ll survive lol…. FYI, A leg of lamb here is about $40.00, which is about £20.00 and they’re pretty big. Haven’t cooked a roast lamb, beef or pork since Xmas day… it’s been way too hot. Enjoy the rest of your weekend boys and look forward to seeing your next adventure.
A filter jug would make the water much softer.
Ready made food is especially expensive, so I avoid that, but I understand some people like the convenience. I usually buy fairly inexpensive stuff as I enjoy cooking and preparing meals from scratch. I try to do my weeks shopping for £25-30 a week.
Do you ever shop the outdoor markets for fruit's and veggies?
@@dennishardenstein7696 Hey Dennis! We don’t shop at the local outdoor markets as most of the product is conventionally grown and we’re trying our best to avoid foods that are raised with pesticides. It there is a great local produce market shop called Tutti Frutti we shop at as well as an amazing organic farm called Sandy Lane Farms (we did a video on it last year 🥰). Being in the countryside we’re grateful to have the options.👨❤️💋👨🫶
What about you? Do you have farmers markets where you live?
@@RockyandKimball Thank you for your reply, I love you both. Being over 80 I don't leave the house much and rely on supermarket delivery services. I live in Racine, Wisconsin originally from Chicago, less excpencsive here. I'm sure that there are markets around but I don't drive, never have. Anyway enough of my tangent. London et al my favorite place . You two and Tyler and Todd my favorite people to watch..........love denny
I love Cholula hot sauce too btw!
Not gonna lie, my jaw dropped at the price.
Now I know why I don't go to waitrose. Give me Aldi any day
Unfortunately, grocery prices have gone up everywhere it seems.
What a deal at that price I would have had only two bags in the USA
@@marvincloud3842 The US equivalent for our shop was around $190. How expensive are groceries in the US now?!?! We haven’t shopped there in a few years. I know it’s gone up but I don’t have a clear indication of the situation. Care to give us the ground report? 😜👨❤️💋👨🥰
Howdy Boys!!!!!!!!!! I think the only chain stores that are higher than Waitrose would be M&S!!!!!!!!!! I do like the scan feature so that you don't have to wait in long cues!! Take care Guys!!!! Big bear hugs from Kenny in Ohio, USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🥰🥳🤠
Hey Kenny! Thanks so much for coming along on our little grocery shop! Hope you're doing amazing this weekend and we're sending big hugs!
The cheese had a best before date of mid December - but where was the Christmas Aisle and Christmas Music?
I feel cheated!
@@paulhunter6178 Lmao! Oh my gawd, I KNEW someone was going to mention the best buy date on the cheese when I was editing it 🤣🤣🤣
I love how observant people are in watching videos on UA-cam. Kimball and I are the same.
We recorded this in October to be honest. So they hadn’t really put too much Christmas stuff out at the time. But don’t worry, I still have a lot more content filmed during the Christmas period where you’re DEFINITELY going to see Christmas stuff out. 🎄🎅
Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend. Anything fun going on? 👨❤️💋👨
@@RockyandKimball I only hope the cheese was within the date when you bought it! x
I just bought one bag of groceries at Zabars which cost $120.00!
@@timothyalberts5512 Girrrrrrrrrl, that’s some fancy shyt!!! I want to shop at Zabars at least once 🥰🫶
We used to live next to a grocery store in West Lynn Oregon (just south of Portland) called Zupans. It was the same deal in terms of cost.
It would seem the higher up in the alphabet you go, the higher the cost 🤣🤣🤣
@@RockyandKimball The next time yous guys are in NYC I will take you shopping at Zabars ❤
definitely very expensive. but then again, you guys are getting organics and eating healthy stuff. healthy stuff is ain't cheap. i get a fair bit of processed when i grocery shop cause.... i'm too lazy to cook a real proper meal :P
I find your prices cheap as over here in Australia that shopping spree would of cost around $250 our prices over here are out of control
yeah the girls are shopping, the yogurt is expensive kri kri brand is here 2 euro and my local supermarket sells Stilton now me happy. 🥰🛒🛍 ps Make a list so that you don't forget anything. Nice screen saver lol
@@erikbehaeghel Oh my gosh, that’s cray cray how the kri kri is only 2 euros there! In regards to making lists, I promise nothing 🤣
By screen saver, I believe you’re referring to the thumbnail. I spent 6 hours making that shit 🤣 but it was so funny to bring it to life. I love dramatic movie posters so it’s fun to imagine a scene and to be able to bring it to life in a larger than life way. Hopefully it doesn’t scare people off. 👨❤️💋👨
@@RockyandKimball i mean your phone screen saver lol
The U.K.has lowest prices in Europe...
Holy cow!! It sounds so inexpensive.
@@UnitedFrequency hey Steven! It’s so lovely to meet you. Thanks for watching and taking the time to come say hey 🥰🫶
Yes it’s not SO bad. The thing I didn’t have time to do is convert the price over to USD. In the end the total shop was about $190. We haven’t shopped in the US in a few years but I know costs have gone up there. They’ve also been going up here in the UK since we arrived. Hopefully things will calm down eventually. 😌😚
Where do you live and shop typically (if you don’t mind me asking)? 👨❤️💋👨
Waitrose is shockingly expensive.
Get a shopping trolley. Then you won't need to carry heavy bags.
Nobody dyes yolks here.
Boar's Head has a spicy Sriracha gouda cheese...

Was that Tammy?!? (I do hope she gets better soon.)
@@johnk.blanchard503 I’m laying here responding to comments from bed with the lights out and Kimball asleep next to me wondering who the hell Tammy is and where there might be a Tammy in the video. But I can’t play it back to check because Kimball’s asleep 🤣. I’m trying not to giggle about it.
@@RockyandKimball Isn't there a voiceover of Tammy Faye Baker at 20:53 "They ask you how you are..."
i kinda like Wait Rose
You’re from PNW and you bought farmed salmon? Scandalous!
@@CaliforniaGleamin I KNOWWWWWWWW! 😩😜 It’s so wrong. But I really love salmon and have such a hard time paying so much for so little. It’s funny because we spend a lot of money on organic produce but for some reason,I just can’t pick the organic salmon package up when I see the cost. 💲
Also, it’s lovely to meet you! I appreciate you watching and taking the time to come yell at me 🤣 That’s what good friends would do so I appreciate it.
Have a wonderful weekend and please accept hugs from Kimball and me. 👨❤️💋👨
you did tell us to judge then soon after you told Kimball "don't judge" did i see a side-eye when Kimball said he seen worse before you told him

@@RockyandKimball i thought i replied earlier today but i probably goofed up somehow, it was self-deprecating so unimportant
well I guess you haven't been in the US lately. It's horrible and I really hate shopping. But it is what it is. I only buy what I really need. Not what I really want. Eggs are the worse. About 8 us dollars for a dozen eggs. So I refuse to buy them. Oh well it was fun watching you guys spend your money.
@@1020mj OH MY GOSH! We’ve been seeing and hearing from friends how horrid the cost of things is in the US. We haven’t been back in a few years so it’s crazy to hear about it. It doesn’t seem like it’s going to get better any time soon either 😩
Sending positive vibes and a big hug your way. Is there anyway to get eggs from local farms there or is it not feasible where you are? That might be a silly question but I’m so curious as I adore eggs so much.
@@RockyandKimball Local farmers are jumping on the bandwagon also. The farmer I use to get mine from was charging $2.00 a dozen and now charging 8.00. So I asked him if he can charge that much for his eggs then I need reimbursed for gas to drive out here to get his eggs. So I took my empty cartons and left. And I'm not the only one that has done that. So I just look for the best deal locally or do without. When baking there are substitutions for eggs. So that's what I'll do. I love eggs also but I'll get my protein somewhere else.
Great video as always, made me laugh. You shop in the most expensive chain of Supermarkets in the UK, Buy organic food, particularly from the Duchy of Cornwall (the Kings Company), of course it’s expensive; but soooooo good. I also shop there. Hope you enjoyed your purchases. The Small dog you saw on your way in, is a West Highland White Terrier - known as a Westie. 🫶❤️
Hey Lesley! Yes, it's crazy how much better we've found the produce and other products to be at that store. We've definitely shopped at all the other stores but eventually stopped going as much as we just weren't happy with the quality of what we were getting. I definitely don't LOVE the prices at Waitrose, but their offers can be good on occasion, so we stock up.
That little Westie was SO adorable. I wanted to pick him up and take him shopping with me, LOL. Kimball and I always talk about what kind of dog we'd get if we were to adopt and I think a Westie would definitely be a contender.
Sending lots of love and big hugs! Hope you're having a wonderful weekend so far. 👨❤💋👨

You haven´t seen musical " Gypsy " ? Little lamb ;)
Always a little bit jealous when seeing the wide selection of products in UK supermarkets, as here in the Netherlands the choice is very, let’s call it, basic. I guess you guys are used to even more choice in the US? On a whole different note, how do you guys muster up the courage for public vlogging? 🫣😱. Hope you guys have a great week! ☀️
