Wow. That was epic. It really shows the value of a good matchmaking system. Even at a low skill level people can still have fun, incredible games because they are so evenly matched.
the gg at the end was so dramatic, the entire thing was dramatic. there will never be something like this again and we are blessed for you to cast this for us, thank you winter :)

Right? NPM could have simply picked off those forward tanks with his tempests, staying near his cannon and shield battery defenses. Eugh, and simply allowing his last mining base to be obliterated because he was busy nancing around with his army on the opposite side of the map. Whyyyy was he even on that dead, mined out side of the map??? His macro was so good (for BLH) and his storms were surprisingly effective, but he just couldn't figure out how to A-move those carriers. Or any of his several deathballs. Heck he even figured out _in this game_ how to put disruptors on a control group! If only he knew the secrets of A-move.
@@Khaim.m I don't know that I'd go so far as to say his storms were effective, but they certainly existed... which is more than can be said for most bronze age hero people! Not to mention the machine gun disruptors; they may have wandered into tanks slightly more often they did anything useful, but they did get some pretty miraculous shots off at times! A beautiful game, indeed.
20:09 24 gateways... I have actually saw this from other bronze, even from some gold protoss players in PvP. Couple of years ago, this tactic worked. If they have lost their army, but had the supply, and resource, and a conviniently placed pylon, they could just warp in a whole new army to fend of a counterattack. Not in the late game stage, but during the brawl stage, it worked for them.
I'd like to imagine the protoss player is a young kid who's watched a lot of winter guides but hasn't developed game sense. "All right, I'm supposed to take bases, have 80 workers, and upgrades are important. Let's do this"
"Triple forge, observer speed, stalker blink, rarely seen after dt blink, and those dts must have gotten a cloak upgrade 'cause i haven't seen them either." Brilliant
When someone has the game in the bag and overwhelmingly is winning - chances are the opponent will win because if the person who is far ahead would just finish him off - it wouldnt be here in BLH.
And I knew 10 minutesw in that NewsPaperMan would lose - CPM was the tipoff - but tempests not targeting tanks clinched it. Although when Terran charged his marines up the ramp, I had doubts.
i was going to have a hearth attack with this game. So many disruptor shots so close, self storms, a player with no money for like 20 mins almost winning the game. this was madness
I have a fun minigame when I watch BLH. I count how many seconds it takes for a player to respond to attacks. Usually a pretty tell as to who is the "better" player.
That game hurt. NewsPaperMan constantly threw away army after army with unnecessary microoooooo. He got every upgrade possible and didn't know what to do with most of them. I've never seen someone misuse a giant ball of Carriers that poorly. Yeesh.
quick question here: have siege tanks ever actually dealt more DPS while in siege mode? clear back in the original release of starcraft even before broodwar and at every point since then that I've bothered to check siege tanks have dealt more damage over time while unsieged than sieged barring the splash portion offsetting a damage reduction mechanic like shooting up a cliff in SC1, the point of siege has _always_ been the range and the splash and the burst damage on that first salvo, not it's sustained damage. only siege tank mechanic I know of that's flipped back and forth is SC2 being indecisive on whether or not they can shoot while moving over the years...not that anyone would actually notice if they changed that.
Imagine what this game would look like if the 9 carriers were traded in for the equivalent amount of Tempests, and the disruptors were Immortals. Just A-move that into Thadeus's army, and it would have done way better than the army NPM actually made.
NewsPaperMan had every opportunity, and yet, wasted them all, he could've used the tempest to take out tanks, instead of taking the entire army with him every time, And yet, if he did stuff like that, then he would not be here for us to see =)
This was the most epic BLH in a long time. Edge of my seat the whole time.
Fuck yeah Bronze League where the real heroes are with an APM 40 and a heart rate of 250 makes for the best show
Couldn’t say it better.
17 mins in "Game is over, the protoss composition destroys marines" then I see there is still 40mins left 😱
similar position as someone who doesn't play, thoroughly enjoying it only to see 50minutes left xD like
this is the BLH we come together for
"They'll expect one of us in the wreckage brother", after the recall on all but one stalker belongs in your all time highlight reel, Winter.
1 hour of bronze league hero goodness. It truly is a gift whenever one of these are uploaded
And I must repeat after many spectators: the bases were a work of art. The symmetry, the spacing, it was just aesthaticly so pleasing.
All those cannons and he didn't even force Thadeus to slowly kill them while grabbing dinner.
I was halfway expecting the Zerg to randomly show up. Considering all other possibilities had happened.
I cannot lie - That Toss base makes me warm inside. Love the canon spacing. Turtler battle of the centrury.
Those storms gave me emotional damage, but the Move Commands inflicted actual physical pain, and I loved every second of it
By far the best series!!!!

30:26 the best 3 min in BLH in a while ... the vikings walking through cannons
YES - Bronze League Heroes just at the perfect moment
Thanks a lot !
This match made possible entirely because Thadeus forgot that EMP exists
And newspaperman forgot that immortals exist when he was trying to battle thors and tanks with colossi and templar

The protoss is truly a bronze league hero, because they build an army composition that basically no-one below diamond league can micro properly.
To be fair, they built a composition that's attack-move incarnate and micro'd that to death with move commands too :D
The way this Protoss storms his own army each time is low key infuriating

I thought for sure protoss would win, up until he lost all his carriers to an army he could have absolutely destroyed with a single A-move.
