I think we will go down and then straight back up as it will take to long to get VK’s way of playing football to succeed in the Premier League. Other teams who share the same way of playing in the Premier League shell out 100’s of millions on players who already play this way or can adapt very quickly. It’s not harder than it’s ever been to come up into the league…. Look at Luton, they’ve put a shift in every game so far on a small budget. Look at all the promoted teams last season…
Why then, in the context of it being the most difficult time ever to have a first season in the Premier League, is his approach so naive and so open? Surely the first objective is to stay in games to give yourself a chance of winning and therefore a chance of staying in the league. I am completely baffled by the recruitment, which hasn’t brought in a single player who is better than we already had. Our manager needs to look at himself and his tactics and his approach to selection, unfortunately. This is coming across as waffle now and real stubbornness, which will only result in relegation and the loss of his job.
