- I chase the Union Pacific #4014 "Big Boy" Steam Locomotive as it travels Northbound in East Texas and it stops in Jefferson, TX for a grease check. This locomotive is a piece of history and I was honored to be able to see it in person and experience the sights & sounds of the early 1940's.

T-Roy even does train watchin' responsibly.
Ha!!!! Good one bro!!!! Cheers!!!!
@@TROYCOOKS love it man, thanks for this
That machine has the most eerie whistle I have ever heard. I love it.
This reminds me of when I was a kid. We would run along side passing trains and hop on them for rides. Train hopping was a ton of fun.
What beautiful machine..... I wish I could have been there.
This is quality content, makes my inner child very happy indeed.
The UP 4014 is a badass machine. Reminds me of my younger days as an oiler on a dragline. Before your time T-Roy! Thanks for the video!
I'm not that much younger than you Sal. I just look better for my age!!! LMAO!!!! Rock on brother and Cheers to ya!!!
Some of the best and coolest stuff is old stuff.
She’s a beauty!
Yep, she's a bute alright!!!! I wish I could be in the locomotive while she's going down the track!
Wow..! Who has more fun than T-Roy??? NOBODY! Sounds like you are getting in some quality time with mama, and making memories. Here's wishing a safe and Merry Christmas to you and your family. Thanks for sharing this with us!
I appreciate the love and Merry Christmas to you and yours as well!!!!! Cheers to ya brother!!!!
Neat to see all the people gathered to catch a glimpse of this awesome bit of history in action😊
Yes, it sure was and it was a huge crowd for the stop where they greased the engine wheels. My mom and I had to walk 6 blocks from where we parked to get to the train. It was nice to hear everyone clapping as the train passed by also. Good times and great memories with my Mother. Thanks for watching Bobbi!!!!
Troy still chasing "Big Boy" Pretty Awesome!
Yep, love chasing me a big classic steam locomotive!!! LOL Cheers to ya Papa!!!!!
Wow! that is a glorious piece of machinery/history!
t-roy definitely has a train set around the Christmas tree
That is truely a remarkable piece of machinery, thanks for sharing T-Roy
That was Great! Thanks for that video
Woooooo-Wooooooooo!!!
That horn was LOUD!!!!! It almost blew out my shotgun mic! LOL
The wheels are as Tall as the engineers. Never knew these old steam locomotives were so massive.
Kool. Thanks from Magnolia, Texas.
That thing is huge, another great video Troy!
It was huge Tom, basically two engines combined. I was close enough that it spit on me!!! LOL Cheers brother!!!!
Got to love old trains! Cheers Troy!
Thanks Rus and cheers to ya brother!!! I do love me some old steam locomotives!!!! They just don't build them like they used to!!!! LOL

T Roy love your cooking videos. But I really that 4014. Thanks and I am jealous. Take care
My great granddad was a steam engineer and I've always loved the old steam engines. It was great to see this one in action. She sure is LOUD!!!! LOL
Thanks for sharing. Great video.
once in a lifetime you will ever see a steam train that big and beautiful.
I have followed you for a few years and have enjoyed all the food, friends and family content you have brought us. Posting the train content has brought wonderful memories of my mom taking me to several switching yards around the Washington DC area as a young boy. Thank you.
Thank you Greg, I am glad I was able to bring back some fond memories from your past. This Big Boy was something to behold in person and it was very LOUD as it went by. When sitting still, it hissed and moaned like a living beast. It was awesome!!!!!
Too Kool! Absolutely Amazing 👏
Seems like Old Times.... 🚂 😎
I love seeing and hearing these old steam locomotives in action on the rails. Good times!!! I appreciate you watching Thomas!
@@TROYCOOKS Absolutely.... You are very welcome T-Roy 😎 I think that I have been watching your brother's videos 📹

T-Roy, love you brother. Love to see you doing what makes you happy. That was a big beast. Awesome.
Love you too Josh! My Grandfather was an engineer on a steam locomotive and I've been a fan of them forever. It was a thrill getting to see the UP 4014 in action locally. It's usually up in Wyoming area. Cheers to ya and give Babe a hug for me! Much love to you both!!!!!!
that was bad ass! thanks for sharing
I agree Michael, it was a sight to see and it was very loud. LOL

Hey brother Kenneth!!! I appreciate you checking out history in action brother! Cheers to ya!

I appreciate the love John and Merry Christmas brother!!!!
Very cool. Thanks for sharing that. Cheers
Cheers Randy!!!!!
Thank you so much. I could see my daddy and my brother standing there. Daddy used to work on the rail road back in the fifties. He likes to go see this big train when he can. This is great video of them standing there. What a surprise.
I really enjoyed getting to see the Big Boy in action and getting greased up for the next jump to another town. The turnout was amazing!!! I had to walk 6 blocks to see the train when it stopped to get greased. It's an amazing piece of history still rolling the tracks and I am thrilled and honored that I got to see it and get footage of it and those working on it. Great memories Tim!!!! Merry Christmas to you and the family brother!!!!!
@@TROYCOOKS Merry Christmas to yall too. Thank you.
I bet it was fun seeing that locomotive, Troy.
Yep, lot's of fun and it spit on me as it went by!!! LOL
That's cool as it can be, thank's for sharing that footage Troy, hope I could see one in my next Texas travels. Take care my friend.
Hello DW!!!! Great to hear from ya brother!!!! Hope all is well on your end and Merry Christmas to y'all!!!!! Yes, this was a great train chase and I got to enjoy it with my mother. Good times and great memories!!!!
@@TROYCOOKS Doing good thank's. I bet you and Mom had a wonderful time hanging out and catching the train, that's cool. Merry Christmas to you and the family to and hope maybe to see you soon.
Nice sharing 🤗
Awesome
Oughta give ‘em a nice trimmed brisket to throw in that thing and see how far they travel before it’s ready to eat!
Hehehehehee, I was actually thinking the same Daniel!!! That locomotive is just a huge offset!!! I bet that would make for some great brisket!!!
There is absolutely nothing on the track that could stop that thing! If it ever comes up to Cincinnati I'd probably hear it 30 miles away.
Greasing the Widow Makers most important job on the train.
Yep, without the grease, the train won't run.
Amazing machine! I love seeing these. I hope the whistle sounds better in person because it sounds horrific on this side of the mic. I’m guessing it so loud it’s just blowing out the mic. Still, it seems like a deeper tone that the usual, at least to me the non-train expert.
It is very loud in person and I honestly thought it blew out my shotgun mic, but my mic survived and I have horrible "blown out" sound in my video from the loud whistle. I'll be more prepped for sound next time!!! LOL
Cool
I appreciate you watching Bill!!!!!!!!!
Sweet! Is it the video or are those cars really long? Thanks for posting it!
The cars are like Amtrack cars, so they are pretty long.
I would have loved to drive that thing or basically just get along during a ride with it
Same here Walter!!!
Awesome train!!! Do you not cook no more on You Tube?
Yes it is Richard! I have at least 2 cooking videos coming up next, so yes, I am still cooking my friend! Merry Christmas!!
hey T Roy
Gravy train with biscuit wheels
T-Roy I hope you stopped and got some BBQ at Joseph's Riverport BBQ while you were in my hometown of Jefferson.
Awe man, I didn't know about Joseph's Riverport BBQ? Besides, I was there really early in the morning and chasing the train as is cruised through NE Texas, so I wouldn't have been able to enjoy the BBQ. Maybe next time? Thanks for watching brother!!! Cheers!!!!
@@TROYCOOKS no problem, I enjoy your channel.
