- Hey Everyone! I'm back with more Marvel Rivals, and in this video I wanted to showcase some highlights I had in ranked on my journey to reach GrandMaster with Rocket Raccoon. Absolute love his kit! People say he's worse than luna and mantis but forget his great mobility and ability to heal even from the other side of the map.
Just by having the revive ability also makes him really valuable, losing an ally can instantly change the way the fight goes.
@@brunohonedeya1356 I've literally tried other healers and his revive is so clutch. His healing from distance also sets him apart from other healers. He just doesn't have a strong amount of healing but that can be alright 😊

Rocket mains PLEASE throw out your armor pack during the 30 sec before you attack. (Why am I the ONLY one who does this???)
Let your team get armor BEFORE the fight starts. Cancel the beacon and they will still have armor.
I swear it feels like Rocket does more damage to Tanks the way he just melts them everytime lol

I think it's because they like to be up in your face more. Damage falloff is REALLY not kind to poor Rocket. But hey, he can be a tank buster, love that role.
You're only really likely to be shooting front line due to damage drop off.
Rocket's survivability is incredible. That and his gun's damage at close range always catches tanks and divers off-guard so hard, lmao
@@Mr.Ford3350 He has the best survivability compared to other supports imo. I love how mobile he is, it really let's me be aggressive when I want to, but I can escape when things get too dicey. Haters just don't know what he's about haha
@@J5TN I know right, I hate when people take it before me because I feel so bad as mantis now but I've been focusing on using both hand in hand
75% winrate GM I rocket main here, i hate when my team tells me to switch to luna or mantis, those are most likely the matches i always end up losing, baiting the enemy into chasing me never endlessly gotta be one of the funniest things to do in this game, also tip for rocket, keep in mind using the jetpack boost when you're crawling in a wall too, it doubles the amount you travel compared to using it normally, also when getting engaged by surprise try to use your jetpack always aiming up and into a wall so you immediately go crawling and escape.

Coming from a Fellow GM rocket main, we need to prove to the community that rocket is indeed able to compete. I definitely picked up a few things you were doing that I can add to my own gameplay so this video was much appreciated.

Eternity OTP Rocket here, rocket is the best healer hands down and is slept on because people get baited by his DPS. His beacon and ult are very strong. People think he has a very bad ult compared to other healers. Rocket has a strong amount of healing I will disagree with your replies to other comments he is the strong aoe healer in the game, he doesn't have the best burst healing but he has the best overall and most utility in a kit. When Combo with WS or Punisher he can give them free ults with Z CD paired with Q. You're not a dedicated tank healer, you heal best long distance and in rooms and floors above and lower than yourself 200 yards away healing your psylocke and other dive comp that no other can heal safely or even reach. He also one of the best duelers in the game and best anti dive support. You can preheal yourself and other support with dive. You can also just gun down any diver. You will not get dived on if you're punishing them. If they don't respect your ability to aim then it also just a easier game for you. Do not forget your mag is shared toss healing in team direction while you're dueling for you and your other support you can set it and forget it and 1 orb will make a difference while defending.
Not to mention his potential of shutting down airborne dps.
They do not respect the firepower fr. Just made it to plat with him and I kept getting dived by spiderman and venom at the same time because if they came alone they would die
His up close dps is also wild its around the same as punisher im pretty sure
People say he's underpowered because he lacks burst heal. But honestly I wouldn't be surprised if his teamup gets nerfed. I don't know about Punisher, but WS with RR's faster fire rate and more importantly no reloading is hysterically powerful.
I hope it dosent especially with Luna and mantis being the main healers rn and even Adam warlock with his team up. The only nerfs rn that I want is Luna Hawkeye and helna
@@saibotshawdow5090 I hope so too, especially because RR's low burst heal is the tradeoff for the rest of his kit. His teamup is excellent and his rez is arguably his best ability. So if you buff his healing he could easily become a must-pick like Luna / Mantis. But if you nerf his strong utility then you remove the reason why he has low healing. So I don't know.
Bro punisher with a quick unli shotgun is a menace
I've been told by so many people that Rocket is the worst healer because he doesn't heal fast enough, but he has so much that the other healers don't.
He really shines on defense and capture point where the constant area healing keeps your whole team topped off against enemy chip damage.
I really love the way he can heal around corners by bouncing the orbs off walls too. Being able to support teammates at long distance without line of sight is huge!
@@Jed_Rowahnn His distance heals are great! Not to mention he can heal multiple people at once. I would just say his Ultimate is a bit lacking. But I would argue his healing is better than Mantis heals
@@J5TNthe thing with rockets heals is, he’s actually a high difficulty healer. But you can get crazy numbers once you master his orbs. I’ve dropped 58k heals 60 assist d2

yyeesss we need more rocket mains!! I used to be a gm rocket but had a brutal losing streak down to diamond. Most heals and assists every match but my teams couldn't deliver!! Really wished rocket had a bit more damage or some aoe attack like Jeff.

Rocket main here. I also had a terrible losing streak. Went from D1 to P1 in 4 hours. 9 back to back losses. I don't know if I've ever had worse luck as a solo que than that.
Another GM Rocket main! Lets go!! It's crazy how you play him like I do. Rocket fits what I'd want to do so perfectly its amazing.
Really love rocket mobility, it really boosts his survivability, like i’ve never died more than 4-5 times in a match and mostly i only like die once or twice. I’ve also lived through 3 whole rounds without dying even once with rocket, he’s just amazing
@@reroreroleon I can't really play any other healers after playing Rocket. They just feel so stiff compared to his mobility and escapability.

I was a Pip main in Paladin and Rocket feels incredible to play, the only thing missing was turning people into chickens.
Ditto. Other difference is the heals. Pip's burst heals are BEEFY.

Awesome gameplay and I'm very new to Marvel Rivals! I will be focusing on Rocket Raccoon and I hope to be good one day. I figure it will take a while to learn how to play the char, and the game.

I mostly played Cloak and Luna on my ranked matches but when i started playing Rocket it felt like the games got much smoother. Usually end up being most heal and assists and managed to get GM last night. But i guess i focus too much on the healing and could help the team more with some damage after watching you. Thanks! As long as you're within 10m, his damage is great. The damage falloff is criminally bad at a distance and you'll just be tickling people, if you can even hit them!
@@Inhellllolll Congrats on hitting GM! Ive played the other supports, and while their healing is better, I feel like their escape ability is lacking compared to Rocket. It's hard to not be a healbot sometimes, especially when your team isn't getting any KOs. Once you find a balance between damage and heals, it's hard to beat. This channel has inspired me to be a bit more agressive with rocket. I wish they added a sticky mine or something to his dash to encourage closer fights with him

I just feel like he needs just a little buff somewhere, like if the mine just slowed them a little. Even a small extension on his damage drop distance

I came back to this video after watching Gieorge play rocket and this is so relieving. I play rocket and playing aggressive feels like he adds so much more value to the team. Watching most rocket's sit in corner or on a groot shoulder all game is so boring 😭
@@orydjinnz I totally agree! Healbotting with Rocket just doesn't feel right and it's boring to watch and play, at least for me 😅
Rocket main also and currently on high elo, The only downside so far is the slow healing I've experience one match where there is 2 dps focusing fire on single target and he can't outheal the damage.
@@PolylabStudio I think he should get a healing buff honestly or something to compensate for the lower healing stats.
I've been trying to stay airborne and close to walls as much as possible to get easier headshots or take on flank angles. I've noticed that when his blue pack comes out, if you start a slow fall at peak height you have enough time to stay in air before a 2nd blue pack deploys. Meaning you can stay in the air near your beacon at all times and still sit on your 2 jet packs for an escape or push.
When I play other supports, I hope the enemy team doesn’t go full dive. But when I play Rocket, I want them to dive me. I can melt them while healing myself or just go climb some wall and escape to my team. He is just so hard to kill. I love it
@@lucifermorningstar8387 When I play other supports I feel like I have no escape ability. But Rocket just feels the most comfortable to me with his survivability and damage. He's just so underrated lol

Aiming with Rocket is the most difficult aspect of his character tbh. On mouse and keyboard it's much easier but if you're playing on a controller it's very hard from what I've heard. Since his shots are projectile based, you have to lead ur shots a ton. Most the of the time I use the direction of the bullets for reference when aiming then the crosshair second if that makes sense 😅

Rockets so much fun, i just wish he at least had a smaller cooldown on m1 after m2. Ideally he'd be able to fire m2 while holding m1 so he could rival the other top tier supports and i wouldnt feel like im throwing every time a teammate dies while i burst someone down

I feel like if they could make his primary fire heal teammates too then he would have more option for healing. His bullet could be damaging enemies but heal teammates, like Jeff's primary in the winter event.
Or increase the healing output of his healing orbs, let them stack on eachother or maybe 10 per mag instead of 8

I main cloak and dagger but if someone takes them first I use rocket and he is genuinely so fun, also annoying when I run from enemies like a rat its great :D

How often do you do damage compared to healing? Every other high level rocket I’ve seen sort of just healbots but this video makes him look way more fun
@@davidgorsage9688 Typically ill pop 1 or 2 orbs into an area then start firing at the enemy for a few seconds then repeat the process. Allies can only be healed by 1 orb at a time so I find that it's best to get some damage out there instead of firing off meaningless extra orbs.

wow an actually decent rocket player. I can't believe how people in most rocket gameplay will afk spam heal on one hero and claim to be playing "optimally".
I started my climb with him and boy. I barely die, I kill decently, I heal this mofos a ton, I revive them on pretty much cooldown, I rarely waste my burst and the mofos still manage to lose... this is depressing
@@Fairy-Uvinq His escapability is so good! But the worst part about playing support is that you're only as good as your DPS or Tanks. You can heal them and get picks but if they can't do their job you get screwed 😭
@J5TN yeah... I freaking love him thou. Its just kinda painful to try hard and things go south lol. Him, groot and cloak n dagger are my favorites but rocket is the main one for me. Here's hoping I get so good I can get out of bronze with my own raw play :V lol

Id really love to see your damage and heals stats because I dont really do damage as him I just focus on staying alive and doing the most healing but from time to time i see rockets with 9k damage while i average 1.5-2.5k and I dont know if they are just bad and have wrong priorities or if I have the wrong priorities
@soupsnorter6990 I'd say it really depends on your team. There are games where I have to really healbot but there are some where I feel I can have more impact getting KOs as well as healing. But with his recent buff its possible more than ever to get the best of both worlds
What are your thoughts on rockets gun? I have a friend who plays him but like doesn't even use his gun. (not hyperbole he ends the game with under 100 damage.)

Currently got over 20 hours of playtime with rocket and I just have a hard time with hitting my shots most of the time
@@arabiannninjaa1909 His primary fire being projectile based can make it pretty difficult. It sounds like you're getting close to Lord status with him tho!

Just found this channel, so unless it’s a specific feature of your gameplay, you should turn the gain on your Mic way down to avoid the sound of the keyboard. It is too loud imo and is difficult to listen to with headphones
What setting makes that green aura around your crosshair pop up while healing
So question when you drop that BRB do you have to place it as someone dies to revive them? Or can it already be down?

What’s the code for your crosshair ?
So as rocket do you wanna seek out kills? Like a hybrid dps? Or should you be diving with a dps? Or main backline?
No, you have great group healing and it can reach targets far away. DPS if your team is healthy or you get dived. And don't dive in unless your team is.
How do you choose when to shoot and heal? I feel like I die or my team does.
@@alexanderdeleary8172 I usually base it off of my team and enemy health bars. But I also just pop a few orbs off and shoot in-between since the healing orbs don't stack 😊
@ that’s what I try to do. I tend to end up soloing tanks, but my aim isn’t as clean as yours either I feel

In the settings, under keyboard, change to Rocket keyboard settings, and it's an option called Healing Feedback

4:25 that penny parker running far away from the c/d ultimate is insaine.. i mean he could be inmortal inside the ultimate, but no, prefer to run yolo and give the kill... how this people get to GM? WTF
How do you know when to shoot and when to heal? I find I need to healbot or my team dies....
@@cakey_cakes For me I kinda base it off enemy and teammates health. If I see they're low enough, I sometimes judge that it would be faster to KO the enemy and heal my teammate after rather than try to healbot for him. On top of that, teammates can only be healed by one orb at a time so I like to pop a couple off to a teammate and do damage in the meantime while those orbs heal. Hope that kinda helps 😅
