This video proves that the composer’s version is always one notch above that of the singer’s version for the simple reason that the idea 💡 originates from the composer. The singer, despite all the earnest attempts to master the song, can never master the original idea. I am not demeaning TMK who has sung this beautifully on many occasions but the beauty of the composer singing his idea 🎼 is always special and cannot be replicated!!

i HEARD FIRST OF TMK, later on listen many others. Finally landed to this vedio.
Feel of the words and its inherent sorrow due to seperation of love is clear in the words, musice and above all in the voice of the composer.
Of course TMK done an excellent job of his style of singling added.
Nut this is composers version. It says all....

I am watching this and listening this more than 15 times today and I don’t know when I could stop, No word to say , Sir, Huge Salute for this composition, will remain as a lifelong reference for Kapi and more that that the feel it gives to our hearts, Really touching the heart ❤❤❤.

To hear this from the music composer himself is a rare and real treat. I never knew he could sing so movingly with such fervor and passion. I have long admired his singularly unique style of playing the mridangam - a style which is best described as minimalist - and true to the role of pakkavadyam. It is a style that is directly opposite to that of say, Umayalpuram Sivaram's dramatic and sometimes intrusive flourishes. To the maestro, my heartfelt namaskarams and thanks. More than the methotrexate I'm on, his music, melded with the voice of TMK and the violin of Akkarai Subbulakshmi soothes and heals.

Hello sir. I became a huge fan of this composition since I heard this in Vignesh Eshwar sir's video. I hear this song frequently and this is the only song which makes happy tears come out of my eyes everytime I hear it. This will be a memorable composition in the ragam "Kapi" in my entire life. I have heard this song many times. Even when TMK sir rendered it.
But your rendition has so much of Truth in it sir!
