Updated video after world trade center was completed: • Complete 25 minute HEL...
The craziest thing about this footage is how old it already is. It's not even 10 years old and yet this was filmed before the Hudson Yards was built, before Billionaire row's supertall skyscrapers were completed, before Brooklyn had a skyscraper construction boom and before the One World Trade Center was completed. Pretty cool to think about it
How time goes fast, this comment was 2 years ago and now this footage is officially 11 years old. ❤
This was the time I visited my only trip to NYC. Thanks for filming this.
Being from Chicago...i have to say, NYC is a very impressive looking city. The size of it is amazing.
Does Chicago look good too?
I'll take Chicago's skyline
@@chrisdell5679 I’ll second that
@@chrisdell5679
Both...
Both are good
Amazing since 1898 , when the surrounding counties and the city of Brooklyn were annexed. Skyline by 1920 when my father's father visited was already amazing.
I'm a native New Yorker, and this blows me away. GREAT video!
Thank you
NYC & Chicago are my favorite cities. They really do have it all.
I used to live in NJ, I remember going to Hoboken to watch fireworks above NYC skyline on the 4th of July. such a beautiful city.
I took the helicopter ride back in August 1983 and I also sat in the co-pilots seat for a full panoramic view and unsurpassed experience. My ride was far better than the one shown here though. The helicopter dropped to a lower level than this one did and we flew right around (very close) to the Statue of Liberty's torch. After passing the twin towers of the World Trade Centre, we progressed up the Hudson River and went inland, over Central Park, then approached the Empire State Building, again very close, at around halfway up its height. The helicopter then went into a slow vertical climb adjacent the tower before hovering directly above the mast. I remember looking down through the helicopter's floor window, between my legs, and seeing all the way down that fabulous building. We then returned to the heliport via the East River, passing closely over the Manhattan Bridge. It was a truly breathtaking experience.
Sounds like more fun. More regulations these days :(
Can you recall how much you paid for the flight? My wife paid about $180 in 2016.
Something similar
Wicked. I've just had the pleasure of a helicopter ride, seen the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, the Hudson River, various other landmarks all in the comfort of my living room. I didn't have to move, get cold, experiencing any waiting, spend any dosh and I could carry on drinking my tea whilst enjoying my free ride. Thanks, mate. Thoroughly enjoy these videos of the U.S.A. Much love from South London
That was magnificent..!!!....I can never see the Statue of Liberty without thinking of my Grandfather who came across from England in 1924....think of all of the thankful hugs and prayers as immigrants saw that Statue for the first time coming from across the ocean..!!!
Thanks for this quality upload, every time I feel like going somewhere I watch the clip and let my imagination wander.
My youngest daughter and I took this ride.. it was beautiful up there..Loved everything about it..
How much does it costs?
@@aburina2408 I remember it was 75 each..
Amazing!!!👍 Знаменитая Пристань Нью- Йорка было Приятно увидеть с высоты птичьего полета!!!Спасибо!!!
Same year I visited NYC but went in the month of March. Would love to go back as the skyline has changed abit since then. I remember walking round the twin memorial pools of the former World Trade Center. Stunning footage and is a time caspule.
🙏
What an amazing experience. My knees would be shaking the intire time. Wow, the views and scenery of the skyscrapers was incredible. Thx for sharing your experience.
Thank you for watching. Did not feel that way perhaps because I never thought that. You can see other recent videos I've made .
Mine wouldn't. I'd love rip in that! Fantastic. (I live in Ireland).
New York napakaganda mo pala talaga.
Years ago I was able to take a ride over San Francisco with my family. What a great ride this was!!!
it is always my dream... to ride on a helicopter.... airplanes...
as usually a poor person like me... gets it only in dreams...
so watching in just a video like this... makes me experience that
wow this is the feeling of flying...
thank you uploader
Unless you're Arab...I hope you get that opportunity one day
lol
sad to say im not my brother..
i came from a poor family and in a poor village somewhere in the philippines..
but im proud of it..
as you says that hope i can take the opportunity one day..
is one prayer...
thank you for that brother
Ya, next step is a simulator. That´s still better than only watching this
Work hard and you'll get it. Flying in a helicopter ain't nothing like winning a friggin jackpot ;)!
Same here and it all depends on where you live and how much you earn...
Well, I'm from Kathmandu and all the Nepalese people's dream is to go to USA and earn a money but somehow I'd never ever heard nor seen any Nepalese people enjoying the moment there by engaging in any adventurous activities but only working, working, working and only working and wasting there precious time of being a human but only as a working machine.....
May be I too might be like 'em but hell no, I don't want to live like 'em>>
I was very lucky as i visited NY back in the early 70s sailing on the old QE2 from England. Spent the day in NY visiting various places before the sail back. It was simply AMAZING.
The first 7 minutes and 10 seconds just blew me away with excitement.
i love NYC!! beautiful megalopolis!! greetings from Croatia, homeland basketball legend - DRAŽEN PETROVIĆ PETRO!!
Great flight and incredible views of the city i was born. No place like it in the world. Cost of housing maybe super high and some of the culture may have shrunk but one thing is for certain . New York city will always be the great city it is.
I rode a helecopter downtown Boston .. My father n law was right manager at Boston Med Flight.. He took me and my wife a great flight.. Because of the medical clearance like hospital roof pads we got to go where not many get to go.. We were below the height of the Presidential high rise..soooo cool.
I was 46 years old before I stepped foot on a plane. It wasn't on my bucket list really. I saw all the videos and decided I didn't care. I loved the concept mind you but it wasn't that important to me. Then when it became a decision to drive 16 hours to visit my folks 1000 miles away as opposed to a 1 hour and 20 minute flight, I took the leap. Sure the delay and hassle in the airport today is a horrible experience. But, worth it. It saved me 2 days with my parents and a lot of aggravation in travel. You just have to get used to airport life!
First time I have ever heard an helicopter from the inside, very loud and @ times very soothing, great views and a great video,
It's very loud but your ears are covered with headset and you communicate with them. Still very loud. Thank you for watching.
randomlifts, I like all videos like this, incredible one though this one, well done..
Thank you. There are total of 2 videos in NYC plus 1 Miami and 1 Honolulu
randomlifts What's that island @ 10,30 on the right of the screen?
That's speechless! I'm a huge fan of NYC ❤️, loved it
OMG, it's huge! Have hands shaking just watching this vid ))) Thanks!❤
Watching from New Zealand and loving it!
Amazing. Recently went on a simulated helicopter ride at the "MALL OF AMERICA' here in Minneapolis. Its an AWESOME experience. Very realistic.
A wonderful flight! Thanks for sharing
Thank you for watching
On the way to NY tomorrow for our first ever trip there.... This is on the list!
Have done this twice fantastic experience flew low over the statue liberty and the Yankee stadium too.
What a fantastic sight, I would definitely pay for one of these helicopter trips, it is well worth the money.
Gives you different perspective.
I think I would have rather the helicopter there's a little bit closer towards the buildings
Thanks so so much for sharing this wonderful video. I feel quite privileged beyond expression at having such an experience I will probably never have in real life, but having it in this video is special enough. I so adore the grandeur which is New York and all the wonderful things associated with it: old movies, new movies and the like.
The best ride thanks for taking us on fantastic ride
Love New York City its Dream Land may God Bless America USA
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙋
America is already blessed!!!! Beyond measure if i may add !!!!!!!
Helicopter rides are a scary experience first time, especially when they turn! Cheers.
I went to this same exact heliport a few days ago for my 1st helicopter ride. The turning was scary though 🚁
Oh my goodness, ty soooooo much for sharing this ride with us. I really really felt as if I was in the helicopter with you. I really enjoyed that very much. 😊
hello beutifull
Really great. I only ever had one helicopter ride - and it was cloudy. Well worth the trip.
Yup. Different weather
I enjoyed that, if I ever get to return to New York, I’ll definitely look into going on a chopper tour of the city.
Excellent. Took you over leaning tower of Pisa , then over Hyde Park, then downtown Mexico, I love Turkey.
Yes, bangladesh looks really nice
OMG that was amazing! I absolutely loved, loved, loved this! Can't thank you enough for being so kind sharing that. I SO hope I can get to NYC one day soon, but in the meantime, I have this! Fantastic work! :)
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. All I can vision with that tour is congestion at the max. My dream is my home, a small country farm, the natural smells of my natural surroundings, watching the many animals that visit me daily, and the quietness, privacy and serenity of it all. You can have my share of all the crime, sirens, clamor, pushing and shoving, filthy air and the 50 different cultures you must accept in one way or the other.
Animals may be genuine and may not be able to say the same about some people here.
Greatest Metropolis in The World.
I am US citizen but moved in London UK last month from calgary Canada with my mom and dad , we r actually world traveller but love NYC
***** Could've been way back in 1812-1814 but the US invasion was repelled.
Something that will be sadly repeated many times in the 20th and 21st centuries in other sovereign countries that won't comply to the White House's greedy and murderous policies
OOOOOOH the cheap shot! (^_^)
Thanks for the trip....that place is huge!
Thanks for letting us join this beautiful and interesting trip!
Thanks for Sharing!! New York, New York!!
Nice amazing view
Living in Texas almost my whole life (so far), I didn't realize how huge Central Park really is. You could really get LOST in it.
Big for New York City but small by Texas standard :)
Yes you can get lost because it's not a city grid layout in the part.
Many a person has gotten raped, molested and robbed in that there park...
WOW.............looks amazing - surely this must be the highlight to any trip to NYC
Felt like on tour , thanks for sharing. And it didn't even cost me a penny. 😝
That's so great ! Amazing helicopter ! Nice New York .Manhattan
This is where I Usually go when I want to Escape the Cops in GTA 4
HypeX you have a fortnite profile picture shut up
HypeX just like you are so quick to Judge because that guy still plays gta 4

HypeX so now you wanna lie

From16:00 until 16:18, the US Coast Guard Barque Eagle is visible near the The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum at Pier 86 . She is the training ship for US Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT. Formerly named Horst Wessel, she was taken as war reparations from Germany following WWII.
Now that's an impressive skyline and thnx for sharing it to us
tarkineWild yes impressive
Wow 1WTC still under construction is very interesting! Good video
Dale :)
Wow, NY is soooooo big. I live in a very small town, I'd give anything to do this. I loved looking at the islands that was near. The building's are soooooo big. Ty for sharing this it was fun!! 😊
I live in NYC I bet I'd enjoy staying in your town for awhile. Change is always good.
Yes, it's a state. NYC itself is a big city. The buildings are indeed tall.
Very very nice view of New York City.
thats a cool unforgetable ride
Such a lovely view of Gotham.
Waoh, i love the US....Greats from Germany!
Thanks. Liebe Deutschland :)
Wow.. this video is great. This is why I love New York and it's def worth it
wonderful video... never thought you could land "visual" in NYC :-O
Awesome view of NYC.
thanks for posting. Much enjoyed
I love NY!!!!
New York is the capital of the world, I would love someday can go there.
Dale
Best way to experience NYC is on foot. But some of these views are spectacular.
Spend a week here minimum for each trip.
Or in a convertable
That was a Joke!!! I was playing the role of the rude NY'er! Dim-wit!!!
Will I have a good experience in a Range Rover?
NC Styles, I mean possibly? I did go exploring with my family's car when I visited, was too much to handle because everyone would just stare at expensive cars. It also depends on where you want to go, a Range Rover probably would be a good choice for exploration.
NYC ...
THANK YOU SO MUCH ...
I'll be doing this for my 50the next yr 😎 thanks for sharing ..
one of anyone he remembers operation sale the 1976 Independence Day celebration. It was the most amazing thing. I was a young girl and I will never forget it
Ok Ok nobody can Argue How COOL this is.

Thank you. I try to have real sounds as they are and usually avoid my opinions so you have a better experience.
Thanks for the video! Awesome.
Appreciate the feedback. I'll make another one of a longer ride. Some changes in the buildings. WTC building is finally Complete.

Ganpati bappa moriya :)
Perros
Great thanks for video I hope one day I will do that
16:20 what a gem of a view....seeing the Empire State building AND Chysler building not shadowed or outheighted by surrounding unimpressive towers. Sure the bank of america building was the first to draft the upper middle skyline of manhattan. Before that circa 2005-1990 time frame was when the city looked best in its gritty era. It looked most remarkable during the 1930's, no construction after 35...and so did those wonderful now hidden art deco penthouse towers jut out into the clouds back during that time, remarkable work put into each one from general electric to 70 Pine.
Gorgeous
Always wanted to do this....thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching.
Yayyy booked for NY in june . going to do this
Oh man I want to go to there I experienced Hawaii in January this year and loved it New York is next for sure
I want to go back to Hawaii. Was too short of a trip.
@@randomlifts I want to go back to I only spent 10 days there it was good.
That's 9 more days than me.
I live in Australia and have been to New York twice before. I'll definitely be taking a helicopter ride next time. What a great view and one of my favourite cities to visit in the world. Thanks for uploading this video :)
Thank you. It's my wish to be able to visit Australia.. Had to cancel trip to Oz twice.
This video will be a masterpiece in the year 2121.
very exciting . Construction and managing such a great city is a miracle . Thank you. oh I notice one helicopter landing was close to edge. Be careful. Great view, good work. I was in the liberty once , but I will have to go back and have ride in the air. :-)
Wooaaa and now new york changed a lot, for example Hudson yards or the new skyscrapers at Central park
Thanks for waving around with the camera as much as possible and turning it into a different direction or playing with the zoom every 3 seconds. Very enjoyable.
he was trying to make it as interesting as possible
besides, none of your videos are cooler than this .... o wait, u don’t have any O.o
I’ve captured video, while moving, for others’ enjoyment. It’s not easy! So many exciting things to see in just a few moments’ time. I’ve learned that, if you pan, pan s-l-o-w-l-y. And keep it steady. This man did okay. There’s so much to see in NYC! :)
Thank you.
lol... i could never imagine this was so boring... but thank you for going through the trouble of filming and posting.
tnx for saving me couple hundred bucks.
haha, watching this video and doing it for real it's not the same thing, it's like watching someone eating something and saying: tnx for saving me a couple bucks., now I don't need to eat!
You don't eat with your eyes.
True, but you don't fly with your eyes either.
If you don't, then I wont have you as pilot.
You know very well what I meant to say, flying is a complete physical experience that affects your whole body.
It's something you just can't get through a video.
Sensational flight over the big apple. Beautiful, hug from São Paulo, Brazil
My two biggest fears in one video-helicopters and NYC. Time for a panic attack🤣
Wow Cool love it💞🥰👌 Thanks.. to video
How I remember driving down the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway one summer evening absorbing a scenario like no other in the world and thinking "Good lord--human beings built this!"
Wow NYC looked so different 12 years ago now all these super-tall skyscrapers and skyscrapers outside Manhattan are everywhere
👍
@@randomlifts how does it feel knowing you have almost 3 million views on this vid
That was awesome, would love to visit New York one day... Carl

THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO. ..!!! AWESOME. ..!!!
I don't know why but this made me think of the helicopter scene in the movie, "The Dictator!" Cool upload BTW!!
😏👍
Aladeeen. Never thought of it as Aladeen but perhaps Aladeen :)
That was a good tour. Thank you.
My father was a pilot, we had an Air Coup, (small plane) and I remember flying over NYC and seeing the Empire State Building
Thank. Interesting video.
Wow, what a trip! Thanks for posting.
