I REALLY wanna hope they can somehow change the relic system of this game. It be fun experimenting different team comps and see what works, what will clear and people can clear in different variety of way. However, the biggest issue to that is the relic system which discourages that kind of experiment since you need to be lucky with the relics you get, as well the stats on them AND rolling into the right stat increase you want. This is my biggest issue of star rail and I hope they change it so it’s less terrible to grind for them and allow players to experiment different team comps without feeling restricted.
Probably not happening. The artifacts in genshin have stayed fundamentally the same since day 1, and it's unlikely it'll ever change here. I wish mihoyo found another way to keep up the daily grind instead of being this RNG infested mess on both games 😢
@@astra8815 as long it keeps up in star rail it will only get worse to experiment different team comps because the major restriction IS the relics. It heavily discourages you from experimenting lot of different variety of team comps and who knows how long it will take once you get there? I know a lot of people says «focus on the main stat more rather than the sub stats, because those will be a nightmare» but at the same time you either require atleast 2 or 3 substats for a character and hope to god you roll into the stats you want.
@@Plotpurotto yeah i didn't farm new release set because it is a waste time and ressource to get at least the same stat i have now. Crit build is probably the hardest to get . Support set are easier but getting perfect set is hell for any type of build you want
I like the new difficulty as it encourages experimentation and trying out new things, but I feel like the awful relic system brings things down a lot as it does the exact opposite and discourages experimentation and enforces just using the handful of characters you already have built over and over.
@@zmm1337it would have been understandable if HSR were a real time action game like genshin or hi3rd. Literally none other turn base game have this kind of relic system. The light cone effects in HSR are very limited too. FGO have thousands of craft essences( basically light cone) with lots of different effects plus a dozen of characters which allow for a ton of team comps to tackle end game challenges. It's a shame since the story and animation of HSR is top tier

They will release new relics set and you will farm for another 2 or 3 month for 1 or at best 2 set and new set will be release and again and again . A waste of stamina for god now what garbage you can get . If you can really unlucky you can spend month with nothing good ... i didn't even finish any opti set and just go with any ok set because it is a waste of ressource .

I love this, im actually starting my own no pull account. Its really interesting what teams ect you use. For example with the events you can get a pela for example. Also some units like herta go from being bad to being maybe one of the top units due to free edilion.

I love the difficulty, and I'm looking forward to the new floors. It gave me even more motivation to optimize the characters, which is very enjoyable. Also, I feel like many people didn't understand how to work around the current buff, I didn't either at first. But with the right rotation - especially with the Sting, if you manage to kill all his mobs and apply all the debuffs - it can deal more than 200k damage, saving a lot of time.

Having Wind Set on March 7th is unironically a genius idea honestly. About MoC itself : Believe it or not, I think it's almost perfect in terms of having us to manipulate the Turbulence mechanic. That said, I do agree on the cycle requirement being a bit overkill (it could've been 18 Cycles instead of 20 Cycles left for 3* criteria in my opinion).
Im still shook!! Insane value! He's definitely gona be my best character. Hopefully this changes the outlook for MoC 11/12 since it was looking pretty doom from the "dreams" i saw
Personally I think this is what the planned difficulty for MoC 10 was supposed to be, especially since now they unified all stages to be completed in 10 cycles. I like the difficulty, actually had to sweaty game on my f2p account and it was fun.
The new MoC is pretty fun. My previous team can only finish MoC 10 with 12 rounds, and i never thought i can managed to finished it with 8 rounds by swapping teamates between 2 teams and motivating me to farm some better relics. It is pretty impressive you can beat it with the 4 stars characters and manage to get all the 30 stars in MoC.
Realistically, anyone, F2P or not, does not play HSR without wishing (=using warps) for characters, as it is part of the game. So this restriction to only free characters is artificial, and most of those who play the game long enough will have limited 5* characters. Moreover, the relics used on the characters in this showcase will take months to farm, so it is not quite for new players. A challenge for people who know the inner mechanics, yeah. For me, an F2P player since Day 1, the MoC was hard, but in my case, it was Asta who helped me reduce the number of cycles and get the 3 stars.
Congrats on clearing 3 stars! You shown people that even without eidolons or crazy limited it still possible to clear moc 10. I also wanna say thanks if it not because of your videos before I wouldn't be building my 4 stars as main dps. Fantastic clear. Unfortunately, my warpless run was stonewalled at MoC 10 this time around. I can imitate some things about your builds, but I don't have the resources to build EHR-Speed-Wind March, hybrid Break-Crit Sushang, or rebuild my physical trailblazer from the ground up after I donated all his relics to other team members before this MoC cycle is in the rear view mirror. Basically, my relic game is still incredibly middling right now, mostly thanks to me putting it off for as long as possible out of dread. I'll probably be paying for that for several months to come.

I completely despise the new abyss. It suffers the genshin syndrome. Tanky bosses, too many restrictions, and of course you have to fight 4-5 bosses in total and somehow beat it all in 10 cycles or less. They punish you REALLY hard for not building Serval and/or Sushang (and for not pulling for Argenti). Oh and they're adding new floors. Great, as if the ones we have right now weren't enough of a pain.
The change is alright because many people complaining to much for harder content and this is the only way FOR NOW hoyo make to shut player as they work on new feature for harder content but the buff is sht that all
Argenti seems meh even in the moc tailored for him, both Dhil and Jingliu are as good if not better than him in the current MoC. Clara is also really good and performs really well. The devs added difficulty to MoC cos many players were asking for harder content (they were doing 1 turn clears for MoC 10 before that update if they wanted to challenge themselves) And what is the problem if they added more lvls? It's 60 more gems even if you can't 3 star levels 11 and 12.
After checking my stats and seeing it took me 258 tries (most of those on F9 and 10) to fully get 30* I say for sure that this new format of only 10 cycles to clear is MUCH harder from we have had so far.
@@zmm1337 It's likely that the reason they added the retry fuction and why they are adding the auto complete for the lower levels is because they expect that from 1.6 onwards things are just gonna be harder.
I like the difficulity, but i hate the MoC buff they gave us. Although i like how it’s not a free win anymore, the HP buff on the sting is not cool lol, it just made it more tedious.
it feels more difficult, yes. But we have 2 waves of enemies, so the cycle reduction feel correct. It wouldn't be fun and challenging if we had 2 waves of enemies and the same amount of cycles we had for 3 waves
I can see your point, but I personally would've like it if they add the changes to the new floors 11/12/+ instead of adjusting a few numbers for the old one, it feels like they're taking away something you already completed and it's lazy design (i.e. they add insane amount of power creep with new characters, and instead of creating new content to adjust to it, they just change a few numbers on old content and call it a day, which I don't like)

Good, as always. But 1:01 - Your reason isn't the reason. You can always hold MC ult for break. 12:02 - I use atk rope on Yukong for more dmg, but use her ult before Pela's debuff. It's not a big deal, just looks funny after you declared that using er rope on Yukong is waste of dmg.

Warpless means that you can't get freebies their eidolon either, also limited amount of LC as well. By doing this you tell everyone that powercreep doesn't even matter, you can just pull for your favorites without even worry about content, great work bro!
Some key units that seriously made this work. March 7th w/ speed + Wind Set + Freeze Build & Sushang Hybrid Break Crit DPS Build. He put in some mad effort, lots of planning, multiple tries, problem solving and forethought to get this to work. The average player would not have the time nor care enough to be able to do this.

I just hope the game doesn't punish for going non-meta but allow some leeway for creative team comps. I hope to see different modes. Like survive for "x" rounds against a neverending horde. Or defeat this overwhelmingly tough boss that constantly heals within 20 turns. Make bosses feel like bosses and give more turns to kill them to compensate. More cool mechanics that will make the game tougher and could be figured out with time. Instead of a lazy "oh we just gave it 150k more hp for all the bosses and you have 5 less turns to clear, otherwise everything is the same." That's just boring.
Wow I struggled super hard with my relatively decent f2p account. Just managed to clear it yesterday. Also, watching this video made me realize each of the stars are separate (eg even if you die on a 20 cycle run, your deathless run still counts. I feel stupid lol). 🥲 the 20 cycle new rule is kinda rude imo.
Ya, you can clear in 2 attempts, lots of people didn't know that and I agree, the 20 cycles should be for MoC 11/12+ but I guess they are conditioning the players to prepare for the pain that is coming
Impressive run! It must have taken you so long to find the right tactics, gear and RNG, I can't imagine the pain. Thankfully the swarm was weak to ice, March being the MVP as always! I'll admit I don't understand the decision behind just changing the numbers like that. Not only does it feel superficial but, if they wanted harder content for the people complaining...isn't that why we're getting new stages and Pure Fiction? I thought that was their way of contenting everyone so that's confusing. And the fact that, as a result, you had to change all your gear when they don't even give a way to save your builds somewhere💀. I guess that's the biggest issue to me: relics are luck gated, there isnt any pity system, so one could just be unable to finish the content now, since 2 weeks is nowhere near enough to farm even half a character's gear.
It was the CN meta to run every non-quantum unit with Wind set because other sets were shit. Now the hackerspace fills the void left by the bygone Wind set meta

Relics! they're the most broken thing in this game if luck is on your side a bit. My 4 stars have insane relics which makes them deal more dmg than the average 5 star 💀
I guess I pretty lucky on this game coz I reached the point where I can full auto moc 10 with the recent one. (Also thanks to the fact that the bug is not a boss anymore because it was really messing me up)

Fantastic clear. Unfortunately, my warpless run was stonewalled at MoC 10 this time around. I can imitate some things about your builds, but I don't have the resources to build EHR-Speed-Wind March, hybrid Break-Crit Sushang, or rebuild my physical trailblazer from the ground up after I donated all his relics to other team members before this MoC cycle is in the rear view mirror. Basically, my relic game is still incredibly middling right now, mostly thanks to me putting it off for as long as possible out of dread. I'll probably be paying for that for several months to come.

I completely despise the new abyss. It suffers the genshin syndrome. Tanky bosses, too many restrictions, and of course you have to fight 4-5 bosses in total and somehow beat it all in 10 cycles or less.
They punish you REALLY hard for not building Serval and/or Sushang (and for not pulling for Argenti).
Oh and they're adding new floors. Great, as if the ones we have right now weren't enough of a pain.
The change is alright because many people complaining to much for harder content and this is the only way FOR NOW hoyo make to shut player as they work on new feature for harder content but the buff is sht that all
Argenti seems meh even in the moc tailored for him, both Dhil and Jingliu are as good if not better than him in the current MoC.
Clara is also really good and performs really well.
The devs added difficulty to MoC cos many players were asking for harder content (they were doing 1 turn clears for MoC 10 before that update if they wanted to challenge themselves)
And what is the problem if they added more lvls? It's 60 more gems even if you can't 3 star levels 11 and 12.

After checking my stats and seeing it took me 258 tries (most of those on F9 and 10) to fully get 30* I say for sure that this new format of only 10 cycles to clear is MUCH harder from we have had so far.

@@zmm1337 It's likely that the reason they added the retry fuction and why they are adding the auto complete for the lower levels is because they expect that from 1.6 onwards things are just gonna be harder.
I like the difficulity, but i hate the MoC buff they gave us. Although i like how it’s not a free win anymore, the HP buff on the sting is not cool lol, it just made it more tedious.

it feels more difficult, yes. But we have 2 waves of enemies, so the cycle reduction feel correct. It wouldn't be fun and challenging if we had 2 waves of enemies and the same amount of cycles we had for 3 waves
I can see your point, but I personally would've like it if they add the changes to the new floors 11/12/+ instead of adjusting a few numbers for the old one, it feels like they're taking away something you already completed and it's lazy design (i.e. they add insane amount of power creep with new characters, and instead of creating new content to adjust to it, they just change a few numbers on old content and call it a day, which I don't like)

12:02 - I use atk rope on Yukong for more dmg, but use her ult before Pela's debuff.
It's not a big deal, just looks funny after you declared that using er rope on Yukong is waste of dmg.
Ty :)! Oh yeah phys MC could definitely work well, I just find sushang to be a lot more flexible for breaking. and for 12:02, the elite still has pela debuff from previously so that's why I Yukong ult first to give Pela a slight dmg boost since def debuff already there, pela just too fast hehe

Warpless means that you can't get freebies their eidolon either, also limited amount of LC as well. By doing this you tell everyone that powercreep doesn't even matter, you can just pull for your favorites without even worry about content, great work bro!
Some key units that seriously made this work. March 7th w/ speed + Wind Set + Freeze Build & Sushang Hybrid Break Crit DPS Build. He put in some mad effort, lots of planning, multiple tries, problem solving and forethought to get this to work. The average player would not have the time nor care enough to be able to do this.

I hope to see different modes. Like survive for "x" rounds against a neverending horde. Or defeat this overwhelmingly tough boss that constantly heals within 20 turns. Make bosses feel like bosses and give more turns to kill them to compensate. More cool mechanics that will make the game tougher and could be figured out with time. Instead of a lazy "oh we just gave it 150k more hp for all the bosses and you have 5 less turns to clear, otherwise everything is the same." That's just boring.

Wow I struggled super hard with my relatively decent f2p account. Just managed to clear it yesterday. Also, watching this video made me realize each of the stars are separate (eg even if you die on a 20 cycle run, your deathless run still counts. I feel stupid lol). 🥲 the 20 cycle new rule is kinda rude imo.
Ya, you can clear in 2 attempts, lots of people didn't know that and I agree, the 20 cycles should be for MoC 11/12+ but I guess they are conditioning the players to prepare for the pain that is coming
Impressive run! It must have taken you so long to find the right tactics, gear and RNG, I can't imagine the pain. Thankfully the swarm was weak to ice, March being the MVP as always!
I'll admit I don't understand the decision behind just changing the numbers like that. Not only does it feel superficial but, if they wanted harder content for the people complaining...isn't that why we're getting new stages and Pure Fiction? I thought that was their way of contenting everyone so that's confusing.
And the fact that, as a result, you had to change all your gear when they don't even give a way to save your builds somewhere💀. I guess that's the biggest issue to me: relics are luck gated, there isnt any pity system, so one could just be unable to finish the content now, since 2 weeks is nowhere near enough to farm even half a character's gear.

Relics! they're the most broken thing in this game if luck is on your side a bit. My 4 stars have insane relics which makes them deal more dmg than the average 5 star 💀
