I enjoyed the focused and individualized attention to the ferns, the photography, the music which added dignity to the simple task of planting. Inspiring and encouraging. Thank you.

Thank you so much for your video on transplanting ferns . The video was very informative but more importantly - a work of art. The photography, the music, the tenderness in handling the ferns and the joy you found in coming upon new plants . Thank you so much. I hope my upcoming effort to transplant my ferns will be as lovely and successful as yours.

I have one maybe two ferns growing in a drain in the corner of my garden for a long time. I'm finally going to give them the space they deserve.

Thank you! This is so helpful, and respectful of such an elegant. There are very few articles that talk about the taproot, roots, the crowns and how to properly put them in the ground.
I have a 30-year-old stand of ostrich ferns under large pine and maple. Some of the crowns are as large as two or three fists each. For the first time last year large areas did not grow back. I’ve been searching for information to no avail. I would love to know your feedback.
Thanks for the beautiful video you did such a nice job in every way.

I have no idea why they wouldnt come back. It could be over exposure to cold, so a layer of leaves before winter might be a good idea.

I have a different type of fern coming up out of the ground and I have to stop them because I don't want to cut off nutrients/water from the tree they are around and also about 30 other plants. I would like to save them however I don't know how to keep them alive since they don't really have fine roots, just a type of bulge at the bottom of the stem? Is there a technique to transplant these?

I am transplanting some larger ferns to my son's home, about a 2 hour drive away. We were planning to have these in the bed of our truck but I'm afraid they will get too much wind ( we will be traveling by interstate). Can you advise? Thanks so much! Loved your video, btw!

I'm not sure, these were her when we moved in. You could try a local nursery. I dont know how well they travel, so buying online is a complete unknown.
