Unless Hera specifically signed an NDA barring him from talking about the contract (basically signing a contract before signing the actual contract) he's fine to talk about what he wants.
Legally yes, I think the problem is more that they or other people might reconsider giving Hera such offers if they know that he is going to reveal it. Thats at least my guess
legally, sure - that doesnt man there are not other consequences (other potential offers changing, the way people view him, if facebook would even re offer the same at a future date, etc)
Actually it only makes sense for Hera to accept that offer because Facebook is hiring Streamers NOW They won't invest the same amount of money when Facebook streaming has somewhat of a viewership (no risks for streamers etc.) Just look at how much Mixer paid Ninja
but i think there is a different mixer was (for me and i think for most people) a new platform facebook on the other hand has a image what maybe isnt the best so if you hear somebody is streaming on facebook maybe you arent that interested like on twitch or mixer etc
Exactly. In fact within a year or two it will most likely be dead. Bad call from hera. Was easy money. In any case he won't grow to massive on any other platform either. Small community, other more interesting players etc
Facebook was offering tempting amounts to a lot of streamers for years now... Weird thing is, most people who accepted those offers returned to twitch when their contract ended without talking/being allowed to talk about why or what happened... So there seems to be something fishy going on there, good call for Hera imo
Magyars are such a fun civ! Super strong heavy cav archers, discounted scout line, and ofc the mighty Magyar Huzzar! It really says something about a civ when having FU paladin is almost an afterthought.
I don't think it was a scam. Facebook has a LOT of money to spend and they really want to make their stream grow bigger and stronger. They need big streamers with their community so bad that they can offer 18k/month easily. And to be fair I kinda understand Hera. He's young, he still has a dream : make his community grow and become a bigger streamer. He has the capacity for it and he indeed might get a better offer later. If he goes to facebook to stream, he will lose a lot of viewers and of potential growing. But it's really risky not to accept it because if somehow the AoE2 hype goes down, he could lose everything.
@@WoyWoyy no disrespect to Hera but he is still a very small streamer. If facebook hands out 18k to those one can only imagine what the bigger streamers would get offered. So i would be very sceptical. But then again facebook is dead and the Zuck is desperate.
@@WoyWoyy It still smells fishy to me and/or maybe we're missing a ton of fine print (Or he meant 1.8K / 18 Hundred a month, which sounds more reasonable). Hera's great, but there's simply no way he could convert that many people to justify the expense. Hell, even if he got the entire player-base of AOE2 on their platform, that's still a tiny number compared to the Millions of Subs other UA-camrs have.
If Facebook just built a completely different website with it's own branding then they'd have a chance. No one is going to go to facebook to watch games.
