I am much older than Jonghyun, and have had chronic depression since college. I laughed and smiled more than others to cover and alleviate the pain. I'm glad he was around people because that is a way to forget the gloom. He really could not help it because depression changes your beliefs in yourself. It takes very powerful and persistant friends to change your thinking to reality. I feel very sad he was so over busy and anxious that he couldn't have lifted some of the anxiety. God is the only one that keeps me alive.
I love these episodes literally they're so funny but at the same time represent SHINee and jjong's spirit too ......... Though when he talked about his book noone was able to really understand😔

Although Jonghyun is transparent with a fragile soul, he managed to hide his pains with his beautiful smiles just like the skeleton flower hides its beauty when it becomes transparent and fragile when wet. I have to find out about this one. His literary ventures are semi-autobiographical. And yes, there was his mention of this "atrocious depression." Did a little googling, and it seems that Skeleton Flowers and Umbrella Leaf are one and the same book. I wonder why Jjong gave two different titles.
