When would i use the Expense tab on the Bill screen instead of the Item tab?
When it’s just an expense like office supplies, gas etc. Item expense is normally associated with purchasing inventory

In addition to the average cost method, what other method can be configured in Quickbook desktop?
I don’t believe there are any others. You can check in Preferences but pretty sure it’s the only one
I sale Mary Kay and some of my inventory is for me. What do I enter that under?
I would enter those as distributions to you and not enter as inventory
when i built assembly my inventory on hand goes to format like ********
Very basic, no finished goods, just buying andselling the same hinges without making a final product. 😅 Not a good system 😭
That should be simple in QB then. Just create the Item and use it on Invoices or Sales Orders
then quickbooks does not answer the very important inventory management questions
Yeah it’s ok for inventory but not the best for sure
