- Israeli authorities are dealing with the aftermath of a Hezbollah drone attack on an
army base on Sunday.
A Hezbollah drone strike on an Israeli army base left at least four soldiers dead and injured dozens of others, says the Israeli military. In a statement, the Iran-backed militant group described the strike as a “complex” operation and warned Israel that worse is to come if it continues its offensive in Lebanon.
The Pentagon has said it's sending a sophisticated missile defense system to Israel.
The deployment of the "Terminal High Altitude Area Defense" battery, known as THAAD, will also see US troops deployed to operate it. The announcement came just hours after Iran warned the US to keep its military forces out of Israel.
The UN is locked in a dispute with Israel over an alleged Israeli attack on a UN base in Lebanon that wounded several peacekeepers. Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called on the organization to move its peacekeepers “out of harm's way” but the UN has said the international force isn't going to move.

Notice how a legal strike is done on an army base. Not IDF style on a kidergarden, hospital, UN Shelter, school, university, tent encampment, or attacking starving people as they gather around an Aid truck. Shameful that a Jew can look at this genocide and not see it. Why do we have holocaust museums when Jews cannot even remember what it looks like and the emotions around the attacker are so similar to the rhetoric of the Israeli public. as UNIFIL has been there for 46 years and have not succeeded in fulfilling even a single objective for which they were mandated (cit. UNIFIL FAQ web page), I tend to agree.

The THAD cannot shoot down long range ballistic missiles that Iran most certainly have. Russia has also provided S 400 long range missiles to Iran. The lines for WW3 are being drawn while the US congress is on recess.

@manayesh. Not every person on an army base is military. I'm a retired CIVILIAN ENGINEER who worked on an US military base. They had a civilian fire department, and other civilian support staff (janitors, cafeteria workers, electricians, IT personnel, etc.) Of course it might be different for Israeli bases but it's not that surprising to have civilians on a base- even during wartime.
It shouldn't be too hard to notice how complicit the USA is in the Genocide in Gaza and Lebanon. They couldn't hold anymore and want to directly intervene in the war now. Just like they are directly involved in the Russia-Ukraine war. And so will they be in the China-Taiwan war.
Civilians are dying on both sides daily. What's the big deal? Its war
