Tie Dye Design on my Non-Dominant Hand Inspired by My Merch!

- Hello Ladies and Gentlemen and welcome to the KIRSTY MEAKIN SHOOOOOOOW!!!
I am going to do a design on myself inspired by the tie dye on my merch.
I’m going to start by wiping the nails and then pop my gel paints into the Nailchemy palette to use. I’m also going to use a NavyTools sponge to dab a tiny amount of the paints onto the nail randomly until the whole nail is covered. I’m going to top coat with the No Wipe Top Coat because inks work best on a smooth surface.
I”m going to use the inks and a 3D brush to pull the colour through the design in wavy lines. It goes on clear but dries pigmented. You can use Isopropanol Alcohol to clean up the ink. I want to add some white so I’ll dilute the white paint with IPA and add that in the same way as the inks. I’ll top coat again.
I’ll use the Crystal Gem Glue from Nailchemy and stones from Nailed by Lucie and The Bling Box. Of course I finish with Indigo Shea Elixar cuticle oil.

Hi Great set of nails, I love them but I would love it if we could have a much closer view of the nail that Kirsty is working on. When Kirsty was adding the bling I couldn't see any detail. I am a bit old now but always found the Naio channel video's much closer and easier to see. This is definitely not a complaint but it would be great for us old biddies with poor eyesight. I also found Kirsty's voice too low but I did read that the batteries were low so hopefully it will be better in the next video. 👍🌟💗💙☺️

Crikey, I thought I was going deaf, lol! 😂 The vocal audio keeps drifting in and out, usually I can hear Kirsty just fine, though today I'm struggling to hear a single thing she's saying, all I can hear is mumbling and our Kirsty doesn't mumble 😅. I'm having to ramp the volume right up, though that makes the music too loud, so still can't hear her 😅
It's a shame cos the marbling designs are gorgeous, but I canne make out any of the chat, and only some of the instructions here n there, so I feel like I'm missing a lot of what's happening.
Anyhoo, I'm loving this set, it's definitely something I'll try doing, it looks sooo damn awesome, especially so being my favourite colour! 🤩

Hey Kirsty... roll your sponge onto the back of a nail form, it works a treat to clean off any fluff and fairies. Even cat hairs are no match to the sticky 🤣

If you would have matted the nails instead of using glossy top coat the nails would have been more vivid and all around more defined.
At least in my experience that’s what I’ve found.
That being said I love your talent and these colors are amazing!!
Sound still needs work, maybe different position for lapel mic or boom mic might be better.

You might use one of your forms to get rid of any fluff or hair or whatever gets picked up by the sponge. You know? Just use the sticky side to pull off any stuff thats on there. Just a thought. An idea for ya to have a little play, see if it works.

Use a nail form (sticky side) Orr cellophane tape to remove fuzzies from sponges. Also, I’ve always heard inks work best on matte. Didn’t know you could use them on shiny top coat.

Question would you try the lazy girl method. I've been doing my own nails with acrylic for over 20 years. And I found this method very challenging but satisfying. Just wondering if you would do a video doing this?

Gorgeous design. I haven't mentioned it before but your voice gets whisper quiet at times and then super loud so it's very difficult to keep up with the conversation even though it is mostly with yourself! 😁 I don't think it's the music. Love your videos!
