The new attraction, opening in 2017, in Efteling, BENELUX, will be based on such a set of technologies > trackless cars (ALL different !) , room decors, animatronics, Pepper's ghost effects and projection mapping. And not forgetting : extensive use of scents, which are being used in a lot of dark rides and indoor shows there ! Name of the new attraction : "Symbolica, palace of fantasy" The story is about a planet called Symbolica where magic exists. The park made a TV series around the story, years ago. Exteriour rendering of the palace of the king of Symbolica : www.bd.nl/polopoly_fs/1.5614033.1452503321!image/image-5614033.jpg Efteling is the unique storytelling theme park in BENELUX , older then Disneyland !
If they do add this kind of technology in Efteling, I'm going just to see it! (If anyone doesn't know the amusement park Efteling, they should check it out! It's an amazing fairytale park in the Netherlands.)
haha... Oh come on... and even if they were NOT going to use "that" kind of technology, you still would go to see that new darkride ! :-) The technology Efteling is using in whatever attraction, is always the pure sustainment of the plain STORYTELLING (or POETRY) they bring. Thy have never-ever used any technology for the sake of the technology (..as many parks desperately do, because they are so bluntly basic/bad in storytelling .. :-) )
I wonder if disney will ever make a brand new Disney animated film based on this Disney attraction from Hong Kong Disneyland Park in China? Because that would be really AWESOME.👍
@@toptobottom247 so here’s the thing about that... it’s been recently announced that they’re doing a series set in the world of the Society of Explorer’s and Adventurers which this ride takes place in...
While I love the updated technology of Mystic Manor, I absolutely love The Haunted Mansion, which was innovative for its time. I mean, Haunted Mansion was built in the 60s and it hasn't lost its charm. I know Hong Kong has other beliefs, so Mystic Manor is more fitting. So while it would be fun to ride Mystic Manor a few times, I'd still want to return to The Haunted Mansion.
If you ever get a chance to go back, would you please consider getting a ride though from the back of the vehicle? A reverse POV would be interesting as you would see all of the effects and doors resetting. :) So glad that this full ride though exists.
Woah, this is the coolest ride I've ever seen! I love all of the archaeology and mythology stuff. I would love to see this in the US Disney parks than Haunted Mansion.
As far as I'm concerned, there is no taking away the Haunted Mansion, no way. LOL However, I would absolutely love it if we had Mystic Manor in our American parks! This would be an amazing addition! I just know that everyone would love it. :D Also, I am always so touched to see all the loving homages this ride has to the original Haunted Mansions, and even the Enchanted Tiki Room. Seeing all the nostalgic touches in there makes me happy cry, every time. I don't know what it is about me, but stuff like this, it just gets me, I'm sentimental about this stuff. :') The tears are an involuntary reaction, I swear. LOL And that gift shop looks awesome! Quick question about the gift shop, have you ever seen any merchandise in there of that Monkey King statue? I'd love to find a replica figurine of that somewhere. ;)
I know this video is old but in case you haven't fixed the issue. Change your camera frame rate to accomodate faster movements and low lighting. You will see a hugh improvment. Just wanna help
I can usually figure out how special effects are done, but there are effects in here that leaves me totally dumbstruck! Like the flying "fairy dust" How do they make it fly around the room in all those random directions? I can't see a transparent scrim, and I don't think its traveling along a wall. Does anyone know how this is done?
If you have the time to search up Mystic Manor Ride in nightvision you can see all the hidden things hidden in special effects. But you are right it was a mesh screen that enabled the "fairy dust" to float over. :)
Why not both Mystic and Haunted? They're two rides that aren't very similar even though Mystic is considered the Haunted Mansion of HKDL and both could easily fit in one park.
You can spend only one time a similar budget :-) ... The GOOD thing is that they decided NOT to clone again an attraction that can be found in e.g. Tokyo. (and vice versa) It stimulates travel if most (would be better "all".. lol ) attractions are really different. Disney cloned their attractions for a too long time allready.
Wig4 It's because of Cultural stuff. Hon kong people take ghosts and ghouls seriously so they tried to make another version with not really ghouls and ghosts but still with that disney flare.
Indeed. :-) .... The Disney imagineers amused themselves here, by installing a list of references to older Anaheim/ WDW .. attractions and more, which would only be seen by diehard Disney goers ;-) - Dreamfinder & figment - The Tiki Tiki Room - the sceance with the music instuments of madame Leota - haunted/cursed art collection from ToT in Disneysea - "Little shop of horrors" (no even a Disney movie :-) ..) - "Frozen" - the singing heads from HM reshaped in singing harness helmets ... :-)
Oh man I'd kill to have a full, officially released version of this soundtrack. So underrated.
I hope they utilise this type of technology in more Disney parks, it looks stunning!!!

True. But I need to go back to Efteling anyways. Haven't been in a while. lol Sadly, it's a four hour trip. :(
Ahaaaaaa, :-) :-) ... From where exactly, then ? :-)
I'm at 1h 20 minutes :-) Been backstage a few times as well :-)

Give it +8 years :-) ....
Wig4 Yep.😇
I hope faster. I can't wait.
I talked to a Disney imagineer at an D23 Expo. They said no. But if they did. It will most likely be an animated series on the Disney channel.

Mystic Manor gets my vote by a long shot. The trackless buggies are brilliant.
The 2 atraction are very fabulous, diferent, but fabulous!!! I like all!!!
Sorry my english...
I live in Hong Kong and this is my favourite attraction in disneyland!
@HyperMan53 aka ハイパーマン53 DUTTP AMLBT Hi, Hyperman!

So awesome! This ride is on top of my must ride list.
I love this ride, I would definitely go to Hong Kong Disneyland just for this ride. Thanks for the video!
this ride and the Iron man experience are the only reasons I want to go there
Mystic Manor is such a great attraction :)
I love Mystic Manor so much! I bought the Glow in the Dark Albert Pin when I was there :) oh and a mini Albert Tsum!
I loved mystic manor so much. omg it was a blast in Hong Kong
I also REALLY like the music that you have on the background

These Animatronics Are Getting Crazy
Mystic manor because they did a really good job on the animation going with the realistic stuff real good from Dino girl
I actually really want a Nightmare before Christmas themed Haunted House , now that would be spooky
I love how the gift shop has an area that has stuff you can wear on dark rides! Wonder if the other Disney parks would get that.
Woah, this is the coolest ride I've ever seen! I love all of the archaeology and mythology stuff. I would love to see this in the US Disney parks than Haunted Mansion.
They should have it in Main street as a the mainstream museum.
Thank you for the video, you are so awesome!
It's like the chinese version of the Dreamfinder and Figment!
s a b a d o. One little spark of inspiration is at the heart of all creation. That is when journey into imagination was GOOD.
This was also meant to be the equivalent of the Haunted Mansion, but not based on the dead as that’s disrespectful in Chinese culture.
this looks so amazing...holy crap

The diamond on the music box is MUCH more clearer.
Damn cool man!
Spectacular! What is that background music you used in the queue part of the video? I like it!
Ooh I'll have to get back to you on that. It's music available to those with an Epidemic Sound account, but I don't remember the song I used.
Why can’t Disneyland California have cool rides like this...
As hong konger i hope we can have that sbow monster rollercoaster
Where's Gelatoni? Awesome ride!
Sounds like a bit like night in the museum. I would like to have them both.
I know this video is old but in case you haven't fixed the issue. Change your camera frame rate to accomodate faster movements and low lighting. You will see a hugh improvment. Just wanna help
what camera are you using? :O
Canon G7X!
what's the song you used when walking through the queue line?
I ever been in Hong Kong mistick manor before

Just sad that I don't have money to fly over from the USA
you're going too fast to read the signs!
Wow a ride not based on a movie.
Thats there version of the Haunted Mansion??
It is kind of like figment
