When I first started it was two guys popping in my City , one I was a close friend with, and another who music I just messed with heavy, I shot their videos for free. Over time the guy I was close with branched off to another videographer and was paying him 🤷🏾♂️ meanwhile the other guy who’s name is Jayy Fox, I continued to work with him for free and he’s just got signed to QC (Quality Control) and signed me 🤣. It can go both ways working for free tbh.
Facts on that work more part. People quick to think it just means an 8-5. Reality is you can always improve yourself by exercising, learning new skills, reading about other people’s works, and finding things you want to try. There’s more to life than just working, binging tv shows and sleeping.

Im a 17 year old graphic designer, so far I’ve done everything for free to build up my portfolio. I want to start charging, i feel like i have enough for my portfolio but i don’t know what to charge. I create posters, business cards, brochures, etc can everyone tell me how much they would pay for each
check industry rates and match it when you get large enough. but starting out maybe charge 50% of the price? like if an industry expert charges $5 for a set of 100 business cards maybe charge $2.50 or $3 for the same set?
