Hi, We use OTDRs for my job. On our OTDR we can position two markers on screen and it will tell us the distance between the two markers. We usually place one marker at the start, and one at the end to determine fibre length, and also the loss along the fibre. My question is, when positioning my marker at the end, should I put it before the reflection from the final connector, or in the middle of the reflection to get an accurate reading of light level at the other end?
