I have one coming in the mail this week! I am wondering though how do you interpret those flashing lines on the screen? I couldn't figure out what one was the fish and what one was the lure. BTW great video! looks like a good fishing spot!!
The best way to learn is to jig your lure up and down and it will show up on the screen mirroring the same motion. When you lift it up with the rod, the lure will move up. Once you understand that you will be able to tell when a fish comes in.
I had about 5”, I had a guy message me that told me he used it in 12” with no issues. I have yet to try it on that thick of ice personally. But I plan to do a follow up video when the ice gets thicker!
@@joshlivethelegacy ice right now; I was using the standard settings view like on the Striker 4, and found out there's an option to flag fish. Not sure how accurate it is, but it definitely picked up fish even when I took my jig out of the hole!
@@alexanderperry700 I plan to play with it more in the coming weeks and out on open water. Hopefully I'll get enough content to put another video together. Thanks for watching!
You do not, I had this unit running on a cellphone that was not connected to a cellular network, or a mobile hotspot. I just downloaded that app at home while on WiFi. Then you can use the device paired via Bluetooth with zero cell service or WiFi.

I use the Quad Lock phone case and Quad Lock accessories. They make the tripod you see. I also have a mount in my boat, my truck and at my desk. Love them! www.quadlockcase.com/
Valid point! I’m going to do a follow up video to show a few more features of the unit. I will be connecting some flotation to the tether of my tripod. My quadlock phone case is locked into the tripod so it won’t fall off of that.
that’s a sick little unit! affordable price and the hole hopping is gonna be a breeze!🔥
Heck yeah! When you need a break from lugging around the heavier locators, this lightweight sonar is the way to go!
Defender Ice combo for the WIN 👊
That combo sure has been a workhorse for me this winter! 4:40 is the last awesome fish catch in the video! Check it out! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 #Defenderice
Looks like a great device! Nice job on the explanation! Great video!👍
Thanks for checking it out Chad! If we ever get ice on Bago I’d love to bring it over and have you test it out!
Definitely gonna have to pick one of these up!
Heck yeah! Let me know if you have any questions about it! I’m already planning a follow up video to explain a little more!
Great video it looks easy to use. This rig would be perfect for running and gunning. Or a good back up.
My thoughts exactly! You can’t beat how lightweight it is!
Absolutely awesome. Great video
Thanks for checking it out!
Awesome video of some awesome new technology!!
Thanks for watching!
How bad is the latency between jigging and the screen in real time?
Not noticeable at all. I synced up my screen record so you can see exactly what it is realtime.
@@zbassr2106 I’ve also posted a few videos on my Instagram. Message me there and I can send you some videos. @joshlivethelegacy

How thick was the ice when you were fishing? Do you think 12”-15” of ice might negatively affect its performance?

have you used the "fish" function yet? just got one the other day and am playing around with it
I have not. Are you using it for open water or for ice fishing?

Do you need wi-fi hot spot or anything like that or can you do it off line?

@@joshlivethelegacy what does it come with?
It comes with the sonar device, charger cord, tether cord, and carry bag.
@@joshlivethelegacy thanks

I'd be paranoid about loosing my phone down the hole.
