House of salt and sorrows is one of my all time favorite reads!! It is in fact a 12 dancing princesses retelling and I loved that Barbie movie 😂 happy birthday!!! Also, gilded wolves is one of my fav series I think you’ll love it since you loved stalking Jack the Ripper!
one of my favorite book hauls ever!!!! i would love an updated tbr video or what’s in my tbr cart after. can’t wait for all your new reading vlogs 🩷🩷🩷 happy belated birthday 🥳
I’m actually reading A tempest of tea at the moment… It’s also right up my alley, but it’s seeming like the beginning may be a bit sloww?? I’m hoping it escalates.
Happy belated birthday! Carrie Can Read reviewed A Tempest of Tea if you're interested! I love the Lovelight Farms books. It's one romance per season (4 books). Also Project Hail Mary IS SO GOOD.
Happy birthday Rachel!!! I hope you had an absolutely amazing one. I love how you treat yourself to books for your bday. You should do like 26 books for 26 and then next year do 27 books for 27 etc.
the veronica speedwell series is the series you need to read if you are missing the stalking jack the ripper vibes!! the audiobooks are chefs kiss too 🥰
Happy birthday Rachel! just bought Only A Monster & it looks interesting! Trial of the Sun Queen looks interesting 😊 Heyy please read Ember in the Ashes! It's so goo with lots of action, trials, & highstakes ❤
ONLY A MONSTER WAS AMAZING!!! I think it doesn’t get picked up because the UK cover is beautiful, the American one doesn’t compare (I’m from the UK and that’s why I initially picked it up) also happy birthday!
Do I have 20 unread books at home? Yes 💁♀️ Am I watching this video with pen and paper by my side and writing down names of books you got that sound interesting to me? Also yes 💁♀️
Ahh so many amazing recs!! I’m going bday book shopping at the end of the month and I’ll absolutely be picking up some of these. On a side note - the Tempest of Tea was a soft DNF for me. I don’t know if it was just bad timing or if I am not the biggest fan of the writing but I don’t think I’ll be picking it up again.
I really loved the first half of “A Fate Inked in Blood” but it started dragging through the middle and there were a few other things I didn’t love about the book. I gave it 3.5 ⭐️ would continue the series but kind of how you felt about “The Bridge Kingdom” had fun reading it but not a favorite.
You ended the video on SUCH a high note, because I literally cannot stop thinking about The Crimson Moth aka Heartless Hunter! (Same book) Please do a reading vlog on it, I would absolutely love to see your thoughts and reactions 😂❤ Also, the Project Hail Mary audiobook is incredible!
Happy (belated) Birthday! 🎉❤ I absolutely loved this video! Definitely making me feel like I need to start book shopping again! Excited to hear your thoughs on The Fake Out, hope it lives up to the hype 💖 I have a personally fun question for you. Would you rather be able to read only standalones for the rest of your life or read only sequels for the rest of your life?
A Fate Inked in Blood! I thought it was quite good. I did hear before reading it that the main character was a bit annoying and... I agree lol. But despite Freya being a bit annoying you have to remember her past. She's not like Lara from The Bridge Kingdom who was princess trained to be a fighter etc. Freya is just a girlie with no special talents thrust into a hard situation with strangers at every turn. I think you would really enjoy it tbh! The only negative is that it just came out and I really want to continue the story but it's gonna be a WAIT for the second book ☹ classic bookworm curse...
Never one to write comments but I just have to say I LOVED “Only a Monster”!! Picked it up on a whim and couldn’t put it down. In the barest sense, the premise is pretty similar to City of Bones where girl thinks her life is pretty simple then something horrific happens and she’s thrown into this underground world where “all the stories are true” and she has a power she didn’t know existed and she has no one to turn to other than an annoying yet handsome blond boy who knows a lot more about this new world than her. The plot and world and vastly different from the mortal instruments but the set up is similar. It is YA so I would just warn you to go in expecting a fun time travel love triangle story!! Can’t wait to hear what you think of it!!
The gilded wolves series and the house of salt and sorrows series are each so good! They are amazing! The gilded wolves is a finished trilogy while the house of salt and sorrows has two books and a third coming out soon. I hope you like them! Also project Hail Mary is an amazing hard sci-fi book! It is one of my absolute favorite books ever! It genuinely made me laugh out loud sometimes. I hope you like it as well! I have also read all this twisted glory recently! I absolutely loved it! It was an amazing book! I hope you like it too!
How does it feel might have been the worst book I’ve ever read. The main character was insufferable and there was just some things that happened that rubbed me the wrong way. Rachel I have a feeling you’re not going to like it!
I’ve read ‘How does it feel?’ and to be completely honest I wasn’t a fan. There was so much going on and it just ended up being real messy. There’s also one scene in it that’s so hard to read🤢 I really wish I had more positive thoughts on it🥺
My name is Annalee and I've never heard my name in a book, so when you read the description of House and Salt and Sorrows I had a full jump scare hahahah
A resurrection man is someone who steals from graves, either to steal the corpse for doctors to study or for whatever might have been buried with them. :) I only know this from reading a series set in a similar time.
i loved anatomy! i gave it 5 stars and i’m reading the stalking jack the ripper series rn and it reminds me sm of anatomy!! i think you will really like it!
I have Trial of the Sun Queen, can't wait to read it! Also have Elsewhere by Gabrille Zevin that I can't wait to get to. It's YA speculative fiction about a girl in the afterlife aging backwards. It's been on my goodreads tbr for years.
i read we hunt the flame last year and adore it so i was excited for a tempest of tea and it did not disappoint! hafsah faizal is so good at developing characters and a found family vibe and her plot twists are so good as well, i just love her writing
Trial of the Sun Queen is a fun read, not my fave ever but had a lot of fun reading it. Also read A Fate Inked in Blood (Danielle L Jenson’s latest book); I thought it was good but just fell short of its potential. The Crimson Moth was sooo good! Interested to hear your thoughts on Project Hail Mary. I was disappointed after all the hype but hopefully you’ll enjoy it. Happy Birthday 🥳 🎉
I'm reading Anita De Monte Laughs Last right now, and I'm really enjoying it!! Anything art/university related grasps my attention, right away. This is Xochitl Gonzalez's second book. I'm finding it fascinating! Happy reading!! And omg, I love how you called the package it came in ravioli!!! 😂 So true!!! It does look like ravioli! Happy reading!!
Happy birthday! My birthday is April 16th and I’ve never thought to buy myself books as a gift. I usually buy something tech but i have sooo many books i want to read that I don’t have, I figured…why not! I can’t wait to just go crazyyy
Happy Birthday!!!! If you love ya mysteries with multi media aspects (interviews, articles etc) please read This Is Our Story by Ashley Elston. It is so good and I never hear anyone talk about it
I dropped everything and clicked✨🎀🧚🏽♀️

Project Hail Mary audiobook a million times. It was the best audiobook ever and I don’t do sci-fi either but it was beautiful
I just read it and absolutely adored it. There's a movie in production for it and I am HYPED. Maybe I should listen to the audiobook too lol
Project Hail Mary is GOD TIER. One of the best books I’ve ever read.
Agreed, seconded. Cannot like this comment enough.
I've just ordered it because of this video 😅
I'm convinced! Adding it to my tbr!
Happy Birthday Rachel♥️♥️🎊🎊🎂🎂and I really really love to read books so so so much and I am so so glad that I Found Your UA-cam Channel🥹🥹

Project Hail Mary is one of my favorite books of all time! I cannot wait until you read it!!

Project Hail Mary is my favourite book ever! Also a film adaptation w/ Ryan gosling is being filmed soon!
I’m actually reading A tempest of tea at the moment… It’s also right up my alley, but it’s seeming like the beginning may be a bit sloww?? I’m hoping it escalates.
Tempest of tea was pretty good. A fate inked is blood is not good, save yourself lol. I even sold my absolutely stunning fairyloot edition.
Goated video lineup idea: First, The Crimson Moth, then Project Hail Mary and lastly the dualogy of One Dark Window and Two Twisted Crowns!

Happy birthday Rachel! just bought Only A Monster & it looks interesting! Trial of the Sun Queen looks interesting 😊 Heyy please read Ember in the Ashes! It's so goo with lots of action, trials, & highstakes ❤
What a birthday haul! 😍 I spotted some favorites in your pile ... can NOT wait to see your thoughts on Heartless Hunter (The Crimson Moth) 😬
Omg do we share birthdays? I couldn't find what date exactly is yours, but if it's april second, same girl!❤ HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🎉🎂
Yay to Project Hail Mary! Love it so much! Audiobook is fantastic!
Yess a reading vlog for A tempest of tea for sure!! 🫶🏻
The Crimson Moth is also called The Heartless Hunter at least in the US it was good can’t wait for book two!
ONLY A MONSTER WAS AMAZING!!!
I think it doesn’t get picked up because the UK cover is beautiful, the American one doesn’t compare (I’m from the UK and that’s why I initially picked it up) also happy birthday!
Heartless hunter/crimson moth was amazing!!!!! I read it in less than a day I luuuuuhhved it!
Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin is also really good!!
The Crimson Moth also know as the Heartless Hunter here in the US. It was a BOTM choice in March. Soooo Good!
Project Hail Mary is brilliant! If you end up liking it I would also recommend 'To Sleep In a Sea of Stars' ☺
Do I have 20 unread books at home?
Yes 💁♀️
Am I watching this video with pen and paper by my side and writing down names of books you got that sound interesting to me?
Also yes 💁♀️
As a non sci-fi reader, u must do PHM audio! There’s a huge part u miss out on if physical that’s the best bit honestly, so excited for u!!💞

Pleasseeeee include an “updated tbr trolly” in one of your upcoming vlogs😭😭
How do you mix between a paperback / hardcover and your kindle? I’m struggling between the two.
Never one to write comments but I just have to say I LOVED “Only a Monster”!! Picked it up on a whim and couldn’t put it down. speaking of anatomy/stalking jack the ripper - the new disney+ series The Artful Dodger has those vibes as well 🤭
