Should’ve had Ortis for this episode of the podcast too
He will be on an episode in a couple of week's time!
Jason being super proud of his son achievements and Suzi trying let the poor boy speak is the best content

Fantastic to seeing the best presenter back. all the best for the future ❤️
Superb. Meaningful gadget talk………welcome back!
Why would the console be dead when you want to game at home on a massive tv (getting cheaper every year btw). I love my Switch, Xbox and PS5 equally for different reasons!!!
Couldn’t agree more, I’ve never got on with handheld gaming, even when travelling I find it a bit of a chore for minimum enjoyment.
It is dead, you pay 5 to 600poumd for a console expecting to have decent games and all we get is remastered graphics of the exact same games you played on previous consoles
i play phone games sitting here often rather than get the pc on, so imagine thats similar to using a steamdeck over a console , its just more convenient
Bro I have my gaming Pc on a 120 hertz 4k Tv and have a 1440p 165 hertzmonitor as a 2nd screen and my Rog ally and steamdeck docked to the monitor. Who needs a console. i sold my series X when i was not impressed and built a PC that i can have so called next gen features without sacrificing FPS down to 30 fps. Connsoles are dead. Xbox is going to hybrid console and PC now and handhelds are king.
@@charliezobel511 Bro what are you talking about I have a PC and a steamdeck and a rog ally and sometimes don't want to boot up a PC or console and just game while the TV is on or in the garden. minimal enjoyment. what handheld did you have ffs. I have 2 steamdecks and a Rog ally and a powerful gaming Pc on my living room TV and a sepreate monitor and still get loads of enjoyment from the handhelds. What was you playing nintendo switch lol. I sold my underpowered series x.
Great to see you back
Like watching the gadget show wish it would come back
Suzi and Jason, dream team back together ❤
I loved the gadget show and MotoGP and Suzie but don't watch much TV nowadays co's always on my gaming PC either on UA-cam or gaming and am now thrilled to find these guys on UA-cam. made my month.
Jason Bradbury back on the Gadget show - hallelujah
Amazing podcast guys. Love the small console at the end. Thank you. P.S. Suzi is lovely!. lol
Myth-busting Jackson Bradbury proves that you can be a professional gamer at a young age and a wonderfully balanced, caring, and intelligent human. 👍
Love the original GS crew. Bring it back for real.
You need Suzi in leathers again to increase the viewers ;)
💯
YES! The Gadget Show is back!
This is where I'd debate Jase a bit as there are other aspects to console gaming that would keep it alive for a while yet, likewise I think cloud gaming wouldn't replace local gaming, but I think it'll co-exist with it. Great episode love listening to the banter and the chemistry between Jase and Suzi.
@PazLeBon

surely a playstation that fits in your pocket is way better than one that doesnt?
Man I had forgotten about you guys, I used to love this show, nothing like it any more, I'd love to see a full budget Netflix show (or Prime).
The Steam Deck's great, had it since day one and still use it.
untill it goes wrong
"no pressure son" 😂😂😂
Wow, is The Gadget Show still on T.V.? I have not watched Telly for years, but I enjoyed that show.
THE OGs! ❤
Great to see these two doing their thing. If Xbox get steam and a handheld console hybrid it could be agame changer. Unlimited cloud storage would be the biggest change as games get bigger and more info hungry
How about adding links and prices to the items you promote?
I missed The Gadget Show! So happy you guys are back with a new format and wish you every success!
Game Pass sucks!
Love love love!! Bring back TGS with you two!!
I stopped watching it when the presenters changed.
Come back with Otis and Jon!!
7:32 I have a motorhome and Starlink is the best plus I have a BT Fibre connection in my house. We also still still use our wii
This is awesome. Glad you guys are still doing this. In regards to consoles, I was born in 1991, so my first consoles were the PS1 and Gameboy and I still play them to this day. I've had a lot of consoles since then, PS2, XBOX, 360, PS3, PS4 and when the PS5 and Xbox Series X were released it was the first time I actually thought, nah, not for me. I think gaming is taking a really weird turn. It started last generation when we started seeing more and more games being released unfinished, or with nefarious micro transactions. It started being less about releasing a well rounded, fun, complete product and was almost being sold to gamers like a drug would. We will give you a taste, you'll get hooked and then we will drip feed you small amounts of content for more and more money. Now we're in a place where games are being talked about in the same vain as Netflix, but movies and games are completely different. You might watch a movie what, once, two times a year tops? Games are played for long periods of time and gamers tend to continue to play their favourite games over and over. This year I've really got back in to retro gaming, there's something super fun about just popping in a game and playing it. Seeing the case and manual, the artwork and care that went in. No day one 40gb patch. I think with the new subscription format Playstation and Xbox will be shooting themselves in the foot. Because who would want to pay prices in their specific stores when there's more market variety on PC? Nintendo will be fine I think, they always do their own thing. I also think that Nintendo like to make physical products, Amiibo, accessories, quirky consoles. So hopefully they stick to making great physical media.
they sound romantioc but look and play like dog poop, be real :)
Interested to know what the gadget show will show. Previously there was a lot of new tech coming out, i believe today it has stagnated. I watched previous recently episodes and they normally reviewing air fryers, cookers, hoovers and random tatt.
I remember playing Space Invaders on my Atari and saying to my brother " this is as good as it gets" ... Consoles will be around for another 2 iterations at least, too many global users without internet.
I think jason makes a lot of good points about the console industry, but i personally don't think it will die or end but flourish into the streaming handheld markets/ and consoles will still exist because people will always want to play from the comfort of there home
pc games ar far better and portables will be more convenient soo they seem to be on borrowed time logically
@@PazLeBon it's not just all about better, it's about convenience. Most people can't afford a PC or use one, most people don't game on the game go. So the convenience of having a home console will help them live on
@@TheNerdstalgicPodcast cheaper to build a pc han most consoles nowadsays and thngs like steamdeck are way more convenient for them anyway :)
@@PazLeBon to us gamers I completely agree, but not to the average consumer and that's the mindset i'm keeping is for the average consumer they wont build a computer or buy a steam deck
@@TheNerdstalgicPodcast i think i probably consider myself less than average consumer nowadays, having been long term gamer, from atari, through playstations etc. P.C gaming has been way way cheaper with upgrades really about every 7 years and whichever way its dressed up its far better gaming experience, better speed, graphics, refresh rates, everything and all cloud based like steam. also not much more expensive han a console.
on the other end, the hand helds can now perform as well as a console and are in many cases, even cheaper and offer several big advantages. That leaves the console having no actual user base, its pretty much obsolete in the very same way a mobile phone stopped the landline :)
Actually the real future of Gaming will be Home/Handheld Hybrid Gaming where you can not only game anywhere but still have the option to dock the same device on a Big Screen TV or any Monitor to also play the same Video Games on a bigger screen or maybe even also in VR in the future. Multifaceted & versatility will be the future of Gaming. No type of gaming device will really die they will all just merge together
I've never seen such a prouder dad of his son.
or one that interupts his son so much
Consoles just have to keep doing what they’ve been doing from the beginning of time and that’s GRAPHICS & POWER
The gadget show is still a thing? Sweet
Don't us cloud like to use disc old school sorry😊 glad you are back
i hate disks tbh
Let the lad in...but most enjoyable
Can remember when the wii u came out afterwards.. there was a game i forget the title. but you could blow into the mic to activate areas.. Haven't seen anything with that interaction since.
I’m in. ❤
My youth !
What about vinyl. Back in a big way. Physical games are best, as we've seen many times, big providers shutting down stores and the loss of loved games.
not that big really
my childhood
I use to be a avide pc gamer but since I srltarted steaming my steam games on NVIDIA GeForce now I've never looked back.. 15 Watts a hour so no exspencive power bill at 1 kW an hour just to run a gaming pc .. Saved £500 a year on electric and I can play my games at top settings without having to pay 1k a year to keep upgrading and I only pay 90 bucks a year... if you have fibre optic or fast internet connection then you're laughing all the way to the bank.. Ps the best streaming service is the NVIDIA GeForce now as Let's you link to all the game stores and play the games you've bought without having to install them first
so im only paying about 500 quid a year more to game on my 60 inch screen... great, thanks for doing the maths. i run 1440 , whats the steamdeck?. can it connect to screen too?
I’m confused. If the console is on its way out, how will I enjoy games on a big screen at home? I like to play F1 on my television for example. Anyone know?
Love Jason 😅 but let your son talk 😂😂
I want a polymega
I've still got 3 PS3s and and I use them for all sorts. Also have a handheld and a few other things I still use so definitely not.
PlayStation needs a PS5 and Xbox hasn’t confirmed if they’ll launch something and what that will be. A large percentage of people don’t want to stream and/or use a handheld or a VR headset. I ‘m someone who does like handhelds but I’d never want to play Elden Ring or Stellar Blade on a Steam Deck and certainly not streaming.
Really great to see Rezhexx involved in this episode - One of the hardest working people in the Fortnite community & deserves all the success he’s had, with much more to come I’m sure
Hmm, Suzi & Jason haven't aged one bit! :D I was confused watching this video thinking it was a old video from when The Gadget Show started to :D + isn't the PS5 selling like hot cakes still??? That is a normal home console & I'm guessing the PS6 will to. Anyway it's LOVELY seeing you guys back ♥ ;)
😂
I've never liked the cloud gaming idea, I like my console and the physical games I play. I do agree the handheld is the future.
and the past, we did have handhelds in the 80s too lol
The problem with consoles now are the games, there isnt enough and the ones that are there are not very good.
I cannot stand handheld, being old I need the bigger screen 😂
Could the console morph into an AI edge device for the home?
Steam Deck is revolutionary. If you don't have one, you are missing out.
bigger is always better whan it comes to gaming performance, convenience is another matter tho
Definitely not. PS5 sold 56.89 million units lifetime worldwide lol. Don't be silly please
is that all? im actually suprised its that low
You must be silly. Sales still going. Xbox sold half of that
Well said mate PlayStation till I die , Xbox don't swear at me lol
I hope not, I tried PC gaming recently and it was an utterly miserable experience!
how?
The good thing about consoles is that you can buy physical games but the performance was worse compared to pc's, now consoles are going digital you might as well save a bit more money and get a pc, that's what I did.
hard to shove this dam pc in my pocket tho, i keep breaking the wifi airiels
I used to love the Gadget show. Jason, O(r)tis, John, the lovely Suzie and Polly and of course Craig. But let’s be honest, you could lose all the guys and the show would be even better!! Make the studio a bit brighter guys.
come out of the closet
The console died years ago, they were brought out for fun many years ago and it's way too serious now.
Consoles are not dead, only the xbox.
surely a playstation that fits in your pocket is way better than one that doesnt? so makes total sense the console is pointless, not even as tho good refresh rates etc anyway
Let me guess you have a PlayStation?
Consoles are slowly killing themselves off..PlayStation thought hey we can tap into the PC market and make them sign into PS network and hopefully this will lead to PC players having monthly subscriptions!!
Well we all know how this is working out for them don’t we!
Helldivers 2 what a mess!
And now Ghost of Tsunami 🌊 that’s right Flooded with Refunds!
Console never met what they promised you (although you think they did)
That’s the 4k 120fps experience!
The truth-
You keep gettin 30fps games released on it and upscale games!
PS4 pro was doing that, and you will all run out and buy a PS5 pro because the will put sales talk on the box!
The only thing that is truly dead is the majority of console players brain cell’s and the inability to educate themselves!
@@RobAtkinson-wj4rc playstation is genuinely like high end pc gaming 20 years ago
@@PazLeBon Yes exactly..its performance and output are miles behind today’s high end PCs..Yet the console gamer believes that they are up there with them!
They don’t realise they are playing on the equivalent of low settings etc at 30fps and still struggling!
@@RobAtkinson-wj4rc i struggle with les than 90 fps nowadays my eyes would get tired
No I don't think so,it's the cheapest way to play games.Iam a playstation gamer,so the exclusives are my primary reason for this.Xbox gamers do turn 2 pc gaming,so mayb this question is more aimed at them.Xbox just ain't selling, reason being there Customer market do venture towards pc.
SONY have been close to getting rid of its gaming section a couple of times.
The most important question is can Jason still do the worm?
Always top to see Steamy Suzi and the one 👍🏾 Hey I’m loving da new show!! But kids like portable gaming but adults can be doing with that. Stay ace!
I could not watch the full podcast, all this cloud gaming online stuff is not a good thing.
matter of opinion
If Nintendo and GameFreak could go back to top down Pokemon games that would be great.
modern gaming is weak im dropping my series s soon just fin up some games then upgrading to a ps2 and a retro rom device
Suzi is still gorgeous
i bet shes so fkn pleased you think so anorak
I just find games so boring now, this is the first generation where I haven't bought into a console. The so called AAA hasn't made anything interesting in years, all the good games now are from indies and B studios. The AAA today is so stale, playing it so safe and are too scared to offend anyone, they all just end up feeling bland. Too many games are just cash shops now, why I totally gave up on mobile gaming a decade ago. I'm also sick of how I can be enjoying a game like Overwatch or CS:GO and all of a sudden they're taken away from me and ruined. Overwatch 2 sucks and CS2 sucks.... I bought both of them, it should be my right to play them. If you can steal my game off of me, then I'm going to pirate your game in future.
Love the podcast but please remove the vignette effect from the videos.
no please keep them
Short answer.....No! not for at least another 10 to 15 years, I think AI created games will kill the console or download only content 💀 I've gone back to physical and we all should do the same. Steamdeack is a pc its not a console. As for the could services xbox is by far the best but it ls terrible! Im on a 250mb connection and the games suck! The queues to play games 💀 common! I quit game pass, nothing worth paying for ,🤦♂️
I like game pass and think it's well worth the money as I like playing the indie games as well as the bigger more popular ones. Also my whole family used the game pass account. My daughter plays all the assassin's creed that appear on it and my son loves Minecraft and other indie games (eg: goat simulator)
@@shaungarlick4448 poor brain dead kid soon then lol
The console wont die if I'm at home I want to game on my big TV with surround sound not a little 7 inch tablet 😂 also isn't it technically a handheld console? Also they said the consoles dead but the Switch 2 is coming? That makes no sense what so ever 😂 physical media is slowly dying but consoles are deffo here to stay there already talking about PS6 for example bit of a weird podcast this one it kinda makes no sense
Too much vignette 😖
not enough
Please ! Stop interrupting your son.
For people that have full fibre cloud gaming is outstanding, but for everyone else it's pretty rubbish. That's a lot of people that are being left out, almost half the country
fine for me on my 100mb wifi thing, no cables exist here in the campo
Omg. Let your son chat so annoying when u cut him off
Short answer no. We make the hardware but make it just about passable. Network arent up to the task in the uk we struggle with mobile gaming. Got a Asus rog work mediocre indoors but not a chance outside of the house so render it slightly pointless.
