it would be pretty neat if after the finale of the whole "fishmen/human relationship" arc, fishmen and mermen moved into the parts of water7 overtaken by the sea
That's actually what I always thought would happen. I mean fishmen island is supposed going to be destroyed in the future predicted by Shyarly, and Water 7 owes Tom (a fishmen) for saving their island. It would be pretty nice karma.
sorry to be offtopic but does anyone know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly forgot my password. I love any help you can give me.
Italian here, Tekking if you one day gonna visit italy you can't skip Venice, because Venice is such a wonderful and unique place , and about the werewolf after the 3rd werewolf-italian war, werewolf can only hunt cringe individual's if you act normal you shouldn't have problems, i think.
Not that it wasn’t a great video, but I would’ve appreciated more of the “Geography” less of the “everything”. Just noticed that you mainly went into detail about the islands people and didn’t discuss things like, what’s it like underneath the sea floor and I don’t feel aqua laguna was really explained in too much detail. It’s your series so you don’t what you want with it but I’d like to see more of the geography of the island on top of the backstory about it. Just some feedback, great vid!
Hmm.. Sinking Island you say? Massive amounts of metal from unknown source you say? Perhaps the citizens have under mined Water 7 so much its actually sinking now?! Maybe they are too dumb to realize that mining directly down is _ALWAYS_ a bad idea! The Tom, those huge cranes, all the tracks and other huge metal projects.. that would require crazy amounts of steel/iron.. I think I'm on to something here!
History > Geography But they're interconnected. Also, I recently had this idea. We know the wg buys children from basically child slaverers like mother carmel. And I think most of the known former CP9 agents are orphans, except Kalifa and Kumadori I think. I feel like you could make a 20min video out of this ;)
Adriaan Sluijs exactly. It's very hard to track down any information on them. And I actually think that if they then have children it's free human resources for the wg.
About your "History > Geography" argument: you need to keep in mind though that the entire history, culture(s), politics, technological advancements etc. in OP only play/played out the way they do/did because of the geographical layout of the world. That's what Matt means when he says "Geography is Everything". It really is.
2:00 That can and does happen. If the ground is stable but loose the buildings overtime will sink down. It's kind of like quicksand but very, very slowly. You can walk across it without noticing anything. However putting several tons on it for decades will cause it to sink down. Usually locations like that have buildings on stilts. Quicksand like that forms above some kind of barrier to the water otherwise it would just drain away. However if Water 7 has it's bedrock extremely far down then building on top of old buildings and using them as foundations is a good idea. The bigger the foundation is the more friction it generates until it becomes such that it will sort of float on top. On that though maintaining a constant water level is important. If one side is more moist than the other the city can tilt and that's really bad. So that's why they have such impressive waterworks. To maintain water equally all around. If one side is getting too wet they can close off that gate or if one side get's too dry they can divert more water to it.
4:47 There are several Roman coliseums all throughout the Spain, most of them are/were used for bullfighting. Barcelona's for instance, was turned into a shopping centre after bullfighting became illegal in Catalonia 5:00 Most of Italy worked like that for centuries, actually. Rome was its own thing, same as Venice, Florence, Milan, etc
Actually, Philip DeFranco is my favorite UA-cam daily show, but now that you're doing the Nuzlock I can honestly say you're one of my favorite Poketubers lol
In regards to Pluton being built there, I bet that city has existed for a long long time. They most likely were commissioned by the ancient kingdom or some other power and they essentially possess the resources to build one of the most deadliest ships ever,
Se7enth Soul He had a link to it in his video description some time ago. Bought one, quality was pretty shit. If you want to wear it a lot, don't buy it. Not worth
As a Geology Student I have a theory why Water Seven is sinking: The big fountain in the middle of the Island could be a vulcanic vent that always kept on bringing solids to the surface that built up the island over time form the Seefloor up. But when people startet to settle they funneld hydrothermic water the out in the sea so the new soil got further sent out in the sea and the buildup shiftet away from the city center and combined with the Aqua Laguna and the weight of the building that compressed the rather loose soil, it lets the city sink. The irony is that the higher the built up to escape the water the faster the city sinks. The problem is that even if the soil is compressed to the maximum the sea is probably too deep on this point so it would make a differnence. (Such vents would only make sence on a major tectonic rift of ozeanic plates, so its way, way down) This theory would also explain why there is still original island left (Franky House), even though an surface as exposed as this would be mor vonurable to erosion from the Auqa Laguna than the island under the sea protected It seems more plausible, that as there are no major building that would compress the soil beneth it stays higher, leading me to the conclusion that the Aqua Laguna, while devestating to the buliding has a rather small part in the sinking of the island.
Water 7 reminds me of a FAR less grimdark version of the Hive Cities from 40K in a way. It's a constantly growing, pyramidal city that is composed almost entirely of buildings that are stacked one on top of the other.
As someone who just visited Venice a couple days ago, it’s really easy to see where Oda took inspiration. Galley-Law’s architecture is very Venetian. Iceburg is the Doge of Water 7 with his complete control of power (only limited in some aspects by the Marines, like the Doge). His knowledge of Pluton further exhibits him being the Doge of Water 7, as the Doge was the secret keeper. I really appreciate Oda’s attention to history and architecture when creating islands.
Not sure if someone provided this, but to answer your question of where Water7 gets its metal from, I believe the scrap yard where you see Franky would get his building supplies from, the same location where Iceberg repairs the Going Merry, has something to do with it. Like you say, Geography is everything. The old man who taught Sanji about the awesome Water7 salt - why was it so awesome? The reason is that their water had collected the flavors from all over the world, like the All Blue. Water7 is located in a place where there are tons of currents from all over the world. I believe they get A LOT of scrap (metal, wood, plastic, etc) sent their way, and that they have warehouses where they recycle it all. I think that's how the Franky Gang built everything they had, since it's how Franky started out.
Water 7 is continously sinking because it was probably built on sand - like the pirate port Tortuga, which is now mostly submerged. The thing that has always annoyed me, is that Damn Train! Why would a Ship Wright make a TRAIN to cross the Ocean. He should have just made the first Steam Ship. It would have changed EVERYTHING, especially if the Marines/Navy took the Blueprints. They would then be catching more pirates, be a real threat and the story would move along quicker. It also creates deeper world development and time progression.
I disagree. The reason for the train is because of how hard it is to navigate the grand line. A railroad completely bypasses the need for a log pose or eternal pose
Fun fact. For Venus to be built at first on the swamp the put really long wooden supports. You think they would rot away over time but the would petrified and that's Venus is built on top off
Can we all agree that Water 7 and Ennies lobby are the same arc? They have the same villains, the wrap up is on Water 7, and all the character drama lasts through both of them. Basically it's one arc, just because there's a different island doesn't mean it's a different story arc
One of the more engineer island in one piece. Iceburg just probably want Water 7 to float long enough to get out of Aqua Laguna destructive path. Pluton wasn't probably built as a battleship at first, but more like a rescuing ship to help get the civilization of Water 7 out just in case a very large Aqua Laguna that have the power to sink the island altogether. But the people decided instead of moving away from the island they could build new home on top of the old one, so Pluton was put away in a close dock until a great war broke out during the void century and they needed a battleship big enough to fight back against the threat that could whip out all living things in one piece. So all of Water 7 brilliant shipwrights got together, drew out a blueprint on how to built the greatest battleship ever in one piece. They converted Pluton from being a rescuing ship into a battleship, if they were to built a battleship from scratch, it could take them centuries. If they were to take something that they already have, altered it form add some stuff, remove some stuff from it, it would be much easier and quicker. Where could the biggest and greatest battleship be hiding and what would it take to get it moving again.
I think, it was Joyboy, who did a video about the reasons behind the Aqua Laguna and speculated, that it's connected to the red line and it's five entrances from all seas
Turning himself into a Cyborg probably was always a contingency plan considering he fought sea kings as a hobby with high tech "battle Frankys" and his 2 Cyborg Cyborg forms are based in "battle Franky" tech
I would say Franky is a biomechanic, he knows how to replace parts in the human body, but he wouldn't know how to treat a disease or to remove a tumour from a body. He seems more like a specialist in making himself (possibly others) into a cyborg, but not much more, because he's such a great shipwright.
i live about 60km from venice. Gondoliers need a license mainly because this way they can pump the prices to an absurde amount (i believe it's something like 50-60 euros/hour).
I would just love to go backpacking around Europe. Going to random countries, and being spontaneous. Have some planning, but for the most part, just having fun with it.
No one ever really brings up Franky's endurance. He got hit by a train, he then swam to the island, and fixed himself up. He also lived through the impact of hitting the water. Franky is no joke It's possible the current brought him to the island but still

This is my idea of a one piece custom manga i made
sorry to be offtopic but does anyone know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account??
I stupidly forgot my password. I love any help you can give me.
@Vincent Gordon instablaster =)
Doesn’t iceberg have plans to make water 7 a floating island so the sunken part of the island will be floating with the rest of water 7
okay that drill sound was insanely accurate dang Tekking you could be a Foley artiest.

I‘ve waited for another video like the one where you explained the World overall for sooo long. Hype is surreal!!
Water 7 is by far my fave Island in OP and I loved u showing us how Franky repaired himself!
Tekking thank you for making these videos. They are really cool and I always watch them after I finish an arc.
9:09 that was a really good drill noise!!!!
9:09 That drill sound though! damn!
History > Geography
But they're interconnected.

Doc Crazy Nice Suupekuulaationnn😀
It's pretty much chilldren with no past that make the best agents, no loose ends
Adriaan Sluijs exactly. It's very hard to track down any information on them. And I actually think that if they then have children it's free human resources for the wg.
Doc Crazy I mean most of the Marines is from Carmel

This is actually my favorite show lel. I like just having your videos running in the background of my life.
Been waiting for a new vid all day thank you for blessing us papi
Tekking is like my fourth fav youtube channel
As someone from Venice, I feel really offended by the werewolf fact, we are all vampires, thank you very much
Wait, really?

Always nice to go back for a catch up
THE SAGA CONTINUES TEKKING. I live these videos
Man this is cool, i hope you continue with this series
I waited for this all day. I live for your videos. I carry on to hear your voice
Water 7 is hands down my favorite arc. I have yet to see an arc that is as cool as that arc!

Excellent timing tekking, I was just watching the arc and enjoying how excellent it is :)
The arc that pulled me into One Piece. Love Water 7 / Enies Lobby.
Legitimately this is one of my favorite series, I majored in geography so I’m a nerd and who doesn’t one piece? Perfect combo
DUUUUUUDE the effect he does when franky is repairing himself is awesome
Love this.
Sayto Ayala same here
I’m waiting for the “punk hazard geography is everything” video
Yo can we just stop and appreciate how well tekking imitated the sound of a drill?
Damm your drill impression
Aquif 2.0 time stamp?
Actually, Philip DeFranco is my favorite UA-cam daily show, but now that you're doing the Nuzlock I can honestly say you're one of my favorite Poketubers lol
As soon as I’m about to go to sleep you post it...your timing couldn’t have been worse...I’m gonna watch it anyway I’ll nap after work tomorrow

Geography is Everything!?
Is the grass green?
Matt,THE GRASS IS GREEN!!

In regards to Pluton being built there, I bet that city has existed for a long long time. They most likely were commissioned by the ancient kingdom or some other power and they essentially possess the resources to build one of the most deadliest ships ever,
OMG WHERE DID YOU GET THAT SHIRT!!!!
Se7enth Soul I was thinking the same thing
I got an ad of it on instagram
Lol showed it on stream a while ago but I don’t remember if there is any more of those rick and Morty one piece shirts
Se7enth Soul He had a link to it in his video description some time ago. Bought one, quality was pretty shit. If you want to wear it a lot, don't buy it. Not worth
I seen it on a website a while back but it was only available for a couple of days

That joke right around 5:30 got me so good and I am so ashamed of it
15:00 I always thought it was a noise done by fishman, and that after his death they used seastone

water 7 is probably closer to syndicalism rather than democracy,
We learn some random trivia in this channel sometimes. The gondoliers having to take tests and the like. That's cool.Huey's law is an amazing thing.
I love your vids keep doing what you do
Fun fact. For Venus to be built at first on the swamp the put really long wooden supports. You think they would rot away over time but the would petrified and that's Venus is built on top off
Matt has become my favorite UA-camr
Loved the fact that tekking remembered the content in his world goverment video
My favourite water seven episode is Sanjis aqua Laguna episode as well, so good. I generally like it when Sanjis dream is mentioned
Speaking about Venice overly sarcastic productions did a great series on it annnnnd wouldn't you know it even in real life GEOGRAPHY IS EVERYTHING!
that drill noise was spot on holy heck
So is that shirt a Rick and Morty take on Rayleigh and Luffy? I love it!
Love the new series waiting for more
Water 7 is the most unique island oda came up with! Also My favorite arc of them all!
Can we all agree that Water 7 and Ennies lobby are the same arc? They have the same villains, the wrap up is on Water 7, and all the character drama lasts through both of them. Basically it's one arc, just because there's a different island doesn't mean it's a different story arc
0:59 One time, it also pops up on someone else (at least in the manga) and it was hilarious.
Who needs sleep when Tekking uploads a video
Oh my god that power drill impersonation was immaculate
I enjoyed the Water 7 because of how we learned about ships
I'm from Venice and don't worry, the werewolves are used to tourtists too, usually they don't kille them! You can come safely.
Why do know Rogers laugh you can hear it in the Rayleigh flashback.
The fact that you sound exactly like Franky’s dub va when you screamed “SUPER!” 😂😂
trying to listen to this tekking video but i cant stop looking at your shirt
I was watching this instead of working..... Thanks for the time Tekking!

sweet globe Tekking, I approve. Nice video too.
I live in Rome, I go to venice at least twice a year for family reasons, and i'm cranking up right now.
I agree it is my favorite youtuber ill say that your the man mr.crawford
Turning himself into a Cyborg probably was always a contingency plan considering he fought sea kings as a hobby with high tech "battle Frankys" and his 2 Cyborg Cyborg forms are based in "battle Franky" tech
Gotta say, I was a fan of the trivia facts. If they can be instrumented into videos more often, that would be great!
I would say Franky is a biomechanic, he knows how to replace parts in the human body, but he wouldn't know how to treat a disease or to remove a tumour from a body. Love your shirt!
The Most Serene Republic of Venice wasn't a country for most the 18th century, it existed from 697 to 1797, so it was around for 1100 years.

I still can’t get over the drill sound watching it back
Finally one piece video tekking finaly
The Venice trivia joke was nice😂
I always love watching Tekking cause he’s such a fan of one piece, it makes me happy just watching him geek 😂
Great work.
i think im going to make a city like water 7 in my dnd game when i do my ocean adventures. thanks for reminding me of water 7
No one ever really brings up Franky's endurance. He got hit by a train, he then swam to the island, and fixed himself up. He also lived through the impact of hitting the water. Franky is no joke
It's possible the current brought him to the island but still
i really love this series
Law: I am the greatest doctor on the seas
Chopper: Baka thats me
Franky: I'm SUPERRRRRR!
