SHAKTHI - THE PRIMORDIAL ENERGY

Navarathri , is an Indian festival that celebrates the power of Shakthi the Goddess, who protects the World from Evil. She is worshipped in different forms. There are many temples within India dedicated to these different forms. These deities are known by different names.
This Dance Ballet is based on 12 such powerful Kshetras (Places of Worship), which are spread all over India. Thirteen Gurus with their disciples have come together to showcase the importance of these Kshetras, through different Indian Classical Dance Forms.
The Shanmukhananda Fine Arts and Sangeetha Sabha, Mumbai and Association of Bharatanatyam Artistes of India, Mumbai Shaakha ( ABHAI ) have come together to present this ballet to reiterate the power of the feminine aspect of this Primordial Energy.
