The beatboxing community is not about hate or holding regret. Musically and artistically speaking, Kaila is bringing something new and original to the table. Her style is very much unique and it is obvious it doesn't conform to the expectations of newbies to the beatboxing/music/art scene. So she's not doing heavy beats, following common beat-drop conventions. It surely doesn't please the masses, but I for one, am amazed. Big up Kaila, and if you're reading this, know you have many fans here among the haters.
+Beatzotto amazed by what? What's new? Off rhythms and shitty breaks? Or the lack of basics and foundations? Or the off pitch high noises? Or wait let me guess, or her annoying singing? Or is the messy execution? Or is it the heavy random inward breathing? Or was it the fact that she did the same shit for the whole time? Thats amazing to you? Jesus these deluded people trying to blow smoke up peoples asses is pathetic.
+Ryan Turner can you please just start saving up and come to a battle and watch the people live that you love to criticize and talk about and meet them face to face. I feel like the only Beatboxer I ever heard you not act pretentious and judgemental with is when you mentioned old school beatboxers such as smvy who just so happens to be one of my best friends . I think you need to sit down with an old schooler and get schooled a little about respect and what this community is about so come out to an event and chill. You are a relentless keyboard warrior and act like Simon Cowell on every freakin video. Enough already jeez.
+Katy Guns I respect a lot of beatboxers and have showed it on many videos, especially new school beatboxers. The reason I respect a lot of old school beatboxers is because they respect the history of beatboxing and actaully have solid foundation, groove, and flow. Lol at you getting pissy at my comments. Just don't read them. I point out all of the bullshit I'm this "beatbox family" which is so political and bias. You only see the negative comments because those are the ones that gain traction on videos. People either want to just blow smoke up each other's asses. I talk more negatively, using choice words, so my comments are seen as opposed to being lost in the masses of comments. People are so blind nowadays and call everything amazing. Where's your love for the art? Push people to be better and call out the BS. Stop calling ok and average beatboxers amazing. This generation of beatboxers is so frustratingly blind to so many things
+Ryan Turner no sweetie see your judging people and their knowledge of music especially beatbox when you don't know them from a hole in the wall. And you seem to have an extra big hatred for Kaila for some reason. Her styles not your forte so what leave her be don't bash her or accuse her of not knowing the history of beatbox which so far from the truth. Again Come out to an event meet the people you love to judge and compete in an actual battle and prove me wrong that your not just a keyboard warrior and have the skill in a battle or showcase to back up all your comments as well as the right to school all these mediocre beatboxers that get no where but politics. A bus ticket or even train ticket isn't that much money just about anywhere nor is a plane ticket if you look for deals. As a community that tries to spread love and support and help one another grow we welcome you even when your standing on the outside talking smack about just about the entire community.
Listen honey I have been in the game for a while, before anyone knew who alem was and skiller was a long haired unknown beatboxer. I may not be as good as them, but I know my shit. For the most part, I don't want to join this US community for many reasons. The bias judging and the nuthugging is unreal. That is why there are so many mediocre beatboxers. The US has some top beatboxers, but most are just average copycats because everyone is afraid to criticize. You probably don't even beatbox. I dislike Kaila for having an arrogance based off of false wins. Stop trying to act like she's amazing. She doesn't deserve 10% of the notoriety she has gotten. I said most new school beatboxers don't know the history, which is why they think she is good. It is one thing to try something new, but you have to be good at it. And just because it is different doesn't mean it is good. The best music is based off of similar time signatures for a reason. Not saying you can't stray, but you can't do a whole set or style like that. It defeats the purpose of creating music. Why do you think Other countries are so much better beatboxers as a whole? They have good foundation, basics, and musical minds. They understand the meaning of beatboxing.
To all the people saying she is off time, you have no idea what rhythm is. She is ON POINT!!!!! She's doing metric modulations, polyrhythms, and changing up the subdivisions with really good style. She kicks ass. Kinda sounds like Benny Greb on drums. Those awkward sounding beats are awkward on purpose, and it's badass. Takes a lot of skill to do what she does. Killed it Kaila!!!!!!!! I'ma watch all your vids and try to learn a thing or two :)
+jaron felix patton no you're the problem. You're going around heckling people because you think she's God. I'm stating my opinion with stuff to back it up. I've been in the beatbox community for 12 years....since you were a baby. I'm not being cocky. At all. I'm trying to knock sense into people who don't know what they are talking about. That's like a second year piano student arguing with a 12 year concert pianist about the piano. Congrats you know what polyrhythms are. She's exploiting one minor part of it and overusing it (pauses). Go look at drumming with polyrhythms. This is basic and boring chit lol. And your style has nothing to do with lack of basics and foundation. I didn't want to rip on your beatboxing but you're acting like you know you're shit and you're amazing and you have maybe been beatboxing 6 months. I keep it real. If shit sucks Or is wack I'll say it is. I'm not about telling someone who sucks that they are amazing. The newbies are a parasite to beatboxing
+jaron felix patton lol funny thing is you left plants of comments all over this bringing negativity towards people that don't like Kaila. So you're a hypocrite. But thanks for the laugh and then entertainment.
+Ryan Turner you better fucking chill. Jaron is good, don't criticize him. obviously you know the difference between giving advice then just extremely criticizing not just kaila but Jaron as well? GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE, THE THINGS YOU SAY ARE UNBELIEVABLE! Kaila is my teacher and mentor. I understand ABC know her through thick or thin. Stop criticizing her, she's improved so much and is doing so well.
Once you actually start to learn how to beatbox, you can appreciate just how insanely talented Kaila is and how much control she has over her sounds. She's so dang good.
I'm agree with everyone who said that she needs a metronome or she needs to beatbox instead of singing. She was actually not so good, but yes she was nice guys, you don't have to bombard this fuckin' button of dislike option damn. And yes, I would have loved to saw Pe4enkata instead of her. Peeeace!
550 dislikes? Seriously? Kaila Mullady is one of the few beatboxers who is actively seeking to push into more experimental forms of beatbox. She's like a jazz musician, going to new places not heard before. She doesn't just aim to please, she has a higher agenda. She's the freshest!
She's not a bad beatboxer by any standard she's just different. I feel like Babeli and her have the same style a lot of interesting beats with great flow.
People are so afraid of what isn't conventional... And so envious... It's ok if she's not your fave but don't act as if you know what you're talking about when you don't... She's obviously good at what she does, and she's obviously original.
I've criticised Kaila in past videos, but you have to admit she's improving. I like her bass lip rolls and I've heard her do some nice little technical hits on her beats... Keep it up.
Agreed. She has a decent singing voice and some good sounds, but she often does not blend them well, which makes her transitions and some of her melodies awkward.
She is the most awesome thing that beatbox has ever seen damn those sounds though! She's so unique so I get why some people don't like her style because she's different than others but she's god damned amazing!
+Jmessey Beats and I'm pretty sure you're just a sexist male who thinks women cannot be better than males at anything. I'm not saying Kaila is better than some males but she's sure as hell very good and she has competed against males and won. Stop being sexist and accept the truth she's damned good! I still respect you though :)
+Katelin Young it seems you're only supporting her because she's female, isn't that sexist in itself, kind of hypocritical. Gender has nothing to do with beatbox skill, musically maybe Kaila is competent but overall she's sorely lacking many things necessary to consider her truly great. Can you seriously listen to her technique and honestly go to the last few showcases and say she's on par with the technique exhibited there? Stop trying to make everything about your agenda, beatbox is beatbox
+Drone where did you get the idea that I only support her because she's a girl. Look I don't choose sides that's just who I am I just love her technique and the way she beatboxs people have their own opinions. Whenever she competes with someone I always say neutral for example NaPom is 100% percent better than her. I say this but someone who was a fan of her ,or anyone, would not say this. I also think this wasn't her best performance go see other performances she had maybe you would think otherwise I respect your opinion. You don't like her technique and the way she beatboxs,Me on the other hand I like her technique and the way she beatbox. I respect you I hope that you'll also respect my opinion. ☺
Or, she could just NOT ignore them and take them as constructive criticism so she could improve. Her beatboxing is good, I will say that, but no matter the skill level, there is ALWAYS room for improvement.
I think her beatboxing has come a long way. She seems to be doing her very best to complete with the guys with the deeper voices then her. Nothing but respect for her.
Kaila has a very unique style and i like that! Her k snare is so powerful and she is a really really friendly person! I don't like those negative comments... She definetly needs to keep her style! We all need to start accepting that beatboxing is growing like a virus, everyone is affected in a different way and have different results. When I met Kaila in world champs her style was fresh and everyone was going crazy over it. Few months after and now you guys are just dropping negative comments because it's different. Learn to support each other, nothing will ever grow if everyone just want to drop negativity on each other. In either way cool showcase Kaila! :D
why so many dislikes , its not my style ... but U must be dumb if you think that it's a bad beatboxing. She never make mistakes in rythmes ... those snare always at the perfect time
A lot of you guys are saying she's not very good, but most of you are in no position to talk. Majority haven't probably completed in a live battle let alone the GBBB. So if you have a negative comment, you should just keep it to yourself. She killed it!
+Katelin Young its nothing to do with the fact she is a girl at all, i dont hate her, i just fine 60% of her beats a lil but off for me :/ the other 40% of her best is great
I'm a big fan, some of the sounds a little harsh perhaps, but she doesn't need a metronome she is very on point with her tempo playing with. If you could fusion her and Efaybee you'd have the bee's knees.
her style is awkward as f***. but she's always on point, never misses a beat. Love her a lot. I would argue Pe4enkata is much better at beatboxing, but Kaila is one extremely impresive vocalist and ofc one of the best beatboxers alive. People have difficulties getting used to her awkwardness. I felt the same when I first saw her, but now that I've gotten used to it I enjoy her performances immensely. She is truly a great artist. :)
I feel like she needs some love and support with all the negativity. She is a great beatboxer, hands down. Just because her style doesn't involve massive power or basses, doesn't mean it is bad. She uses obscure time signatures above all, and that is more technical than most people out there in the scene. She doesn't just know beatbox, she knows music, and that is what makes her good. I think she gets the hate because people don't look at her from a musical standpoint. Plus, a lot of people have this inward misogyny that they don't realize they have. Anywho, big ups to Kaila, representing the female power out there.
I hope people don't view this as people disliking this set because she is a woman. Look at Arthur Henry's showcase. If people did not think you had a good set they will tell you. Either way I can tell she has improved from where she started which is more than I can say for alot of beatboxers. One love.
It has nothing to do with her gender for me. IMO she isn't the best female beatboxer either. I think like Rinka from Japan, Pe4enkata from Bulgaria and Madibeats from the Philippines are better. That's only my opinion. Not saying she isn't good.
Can't understand why fo people rage so much about Kaila.. She's a really great beatboxer, has so many interesting techniques, she actually knows how to entertain and have fun on stage. I see her also as a revolutioniser of female beatbox, big up!
I have really big respect for kaila cuz, like you know, a lot of bboxers a male and she as a female stands in front of judges and gives her bests. I mean she lacks of rhytm honestly but I gotta say keep up with good work Kaila.
The beatboxing community is not about hate or holding regret. Musically and artistically speaking, Kaila is bringing something new and original to the table. You haters suck. Kaila is awesome at boxing
Screw haters
Edit: That starting sound never gets old
Can you not! No one hates her. It's just beatbox
I really don't get what you guys are complaining about. She got an amazing flow and her musicality is on point.
one of the very best female beatboxers there is
People are so afraid of what isn't conventional... And so envious... It's ok if she's not your fave but don't act as if you know what you're talking about when you don't... She's obviously good at what she does, and she's obviously original.

yep you can't say that for most of the beatboxers
Rhythmically awesome, holding that 2 & 4 down with the polyrhythms and polyphony, just badass.
Keep doing your thing! Love It!!! Straight from Detroit!
I mean she's good but I always get so cringy when I watch her.
true

Yeah it is kinda cringy...😐
Yeah same hete

If a guy did this, he would've gotten fucking slaughtered

Loool
Hahahaha on point
+Tim Robison at 3:08 HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
She's a good singer, but I've never been a fan of Kaila as a beatboxer. Messy beats, squeaky sounds, so-so technique.
Agree
her beats are hot but yeah some times she try diffrent things in between beats that sometimes work
This was kinda boring to watch tbh
yeaaa...that's what I think of
Agreed. She has a decent singing voice and some good sounds, but she often does not blend them well, which makes her transitions and some of her melodies awkward.

this made me cry with joy it was so good
I am just mind blown by the different sounds and the overlap...heard about her on Wait Wait this weekend and checked this out!
Same here. She was guest on Wait Wait.
Best flow I've ever heard from her, and she has great flow!
Excellent stuff.
esh
I SEARCHED UP MY NAME AND FOUND HER. she's more of a singer to me but is pretty good at beatboxing, better than me defiently
Kaila always kills it. I just want to get on with the bracket! I am so ready.
Kaila has a very unique style and i like that! Her k snare is so powerful and she is a really really friendly person! I don't like those negative comments... She definetly needs to keep her style! I don't know about you guys but I think she's pretty good
female beatboxers have improved a LOT.
She is no where near pe4enkata..
+Abdeali Waseef didn't you see the "s" at the end of "beatboxers" ? I was talking about the average female level. We all know pachenkata is very good.
so much disrespect in the comments even from other beat boxers? why? There should be nothing but support for and from everyone in the community.
The best female beatboxer yet. Experimental, nice vocals, and oh god that K snare
i dont get it, why are you people hating so much on kaila? just get used to it that there is a female beatboxer who can beat all yo asses :D
+Katelin Young its nothing to do with the fact she is a girl at all, i dont hate her, i just fine 60% of her beats a lil but off for me :/ the other 40% of her best is great
World Champion because she is the best. Love you Kaila
Her beats are fucking amazing
I'm not a fan of Kaila, but some "minimal" phases wasn't bad at all! Like at 1:05 for example.
The trick where you skip a little over half a measure for effect doesn't work if you do it every other measure apparently
I'm a big fan, some of the sounds a little harsh perhaps, but she doesn't need a metronome she is very on point with her tempo playing with. If you could fusion her and Efaybee you'd have the bee's knees.
This was actually pretty sick
Me from Asia never heard anything about Kaila, just knew her name, and just finished watching this video: WOW AWESOME COOL

it's good to see some female beatboxers!
It's funny bc even at times the judges are like "wtf is this??"

krxZGB but if a guy does what she does then he wouldn't make far at all.
ledgend
Hater's gonna hate...
Yall dont understand what all i see her capable of. She could top the charts in rap.
you gogirl
i like how she is always on-beat and innovative but i would love to see her cleaning up her style. Big up from Greece
I think you meant offbeat...
Очень необычно и мощно выступила. Здорово!
i love you KAILAAAAA
Damn that was fire 1:08
shes really good...
the problem is that the competition as it is right now is just at another level, so she comes of short in comparision
Can't understand why fo people rage so much about Kaila.. She's a really great beatboxer, has so many interesting techniques, she actually knows how to entertain and have fun on stage. I see her also as a revolutioniser of female beatbox, big up!

It literally sounds like she just threw a bunch of sounds together and went with it
I love that she sounds like Portishead. Not to mention the skills.
Wait...why was she eliminated?
I have really big respect for kaila cuz, like you know, a lot of bboxers a male and she as a female stands in front of judges and gives her bests. I mean she lacks of rhytm honestly but I gotta say keep up with good work Kaila.
dope as fuck
So... Who's next?
+Tomokari Kazuki Cosmin
+xBanqeeRx Thanks man
Who else come here from PA4ENKATA
Her sound is more reminiscent of Trip-Hop mixed with dubstep mixed with alien sounds. But she's still way better than me. 🤣
I'm gonna eat dinner guys. Be right back.
what's that bass she uses at the start~~~~?@_@
it's a lip roll
She's here cuz of musicality.
女性でもここまで来れるんだぞということ改めてわかりますな
Sick Rutine, nice!! The girls have power too on beatbox!!
instead of getting her here why wouldn't you invite alexhino or inertia or audical to replace her ?
She can do SO MUCH, but her style could give an aspirin a headache.
your the best!!!!!!!
much respect
i feel suffocated
prefer PE4ENKATA but still this is definitely something new and interesting
