Honestly, getting a Spyro/Crash crossover instead of Spyro 4 after waiting for so long would be kind of insulting. It would just prove to me that they don’t believe that Spyro can stand on his own, and he needs to rely on the Crash franchise to stay profitable. Not all of us are Crash fans either. They’ve used Spyro to boost Crash’s popularity three times in the last 5 years, now it’s time for Spyro to get his own game.
A crossover game could still be cool to see don't get me wrong. But wait till spyro actually gets a new game and then maybe think about a spyro crash crossover game
It would not prove they think Spyro can’t stand on his own. It would just mean they think they have a good idea to cross them over. And if they think that, so what? I’d love for them to come out with crash bandicoot five and spiral four in the same year and set up crossover. Not make it feel like it’s being introduced at the beginning of the crossover game, but it’s being introduced all through the entire game before the crossovers. I’d love a crash bandicoot movie that as good as the Mario movie and a Pokémon movie that’s as good as the Mario movie and Spiro in the crash bandicoot movie and then give us a smash Brothers film with all of these films. I think that would be really cool. Apparently I’m 12 years old…
Also, they aren’t using Spyro to boost crashes popularity. If anything is the reverse. But maybe they aren’t really using any of them to boost any of their popularity and they’re not saying one is better than the other. It’s just a really cool event they like to do in the games because it’s been a part of their history forever. Excited for a new game and a new game ASAP. That’s fine but everything else you’re saying it is incorrect and sounds kind of petty.

I agree this year. I love Spyro but I’m more excited for a new crash game that’s either a sequel to crash team racing nitro fuel or another platform and I’d rather have that. I also think nitro fuel had the perfect art style. I love the more Pixar animation as opposed to this kind of Playdo look. I love that the rocks looks pretty real and some of the metal looked pretty real and there was a little more detail to the fur. I think nitro fuel had it just right. At least two is for Bob, it genuinely looks like it could be a well aged 360 game. It’s got a timeless graphics I’d say but they should at least put more work into this art style and make sure it’s very polished and finished looking.

I was sure Spyro 4 was going to get announced at The Game Awards. It was a perfect cross-promotion opportunity. My next guess is a release in September 2024, since it seems to be the Spyro month and they had such a long time by now to develop it, as well is giving us a lot of teasers, in addition to this data mine with the new assets.

If they changed Elora's design the way they have, it might even be because she could be playable in Spyro 4. In Reignited she only needed to move in a few ways for cutscenes and a few in game animations. If she's playable now, they might would need to completely overhaul her base model to make her move right in game.
@@Mike14264 I imagine a more acrobatic version of Sheela. Like being able to jump higher and move quickly in percarious places so up mountains or through forests/jungles. And since she has hands, she'd be able to use equipment built by the professor. And I imagine Hunter would be good for speed ways and sports.
Crash Team Racing lead into Crash 4. It makes sense if Rumble leads into Spyro 4. I wonder if these new portal power ups and Ripto will be tied into it as well

One thing I've noticed, there is ZERO new content scheduled for February this season. Like there's usually a bit of a lull near the final month of every season but there's usually SOMETHING, and this season had plenty content to spread out (we're getting minigames and maps in the same week). It's suspicious they crammed everything in at the start before that specific date, like they maybe have a little surprise planned for then.

I think this new models could potentially lead to a new Spyro game. Maybe Toys For Bob will give out these new models as a hint for Spyro 4? Maybe they had to update the blue thief to make it more friendly than the Reignited model? The way I see it is that the blue thief is like the original blue thief from the original Spyro games.
I could’ve fathom why they make these new models if they did not have a new game coming. Maybe they couldn’t port them over or there were something with the rights that we just don’t know all the top of our head… maybe they just really wanted to change the models but I think there’s a new game coming. it’s weird they’re using concepts from the older games in the new games. It was weird that Spyro 4 didn't get announced at the Game Awards. I feel like if it's going to be out by the end of 2024 it's going to be announced in like February.

It's not a confirmation. That's like saying Johnny Bravo makes a cameo in some modern day cartoon. It's meant as a throwback/reference for those that know of him and watched that show (like me). It does not mean he's getting another cartoon. Until the Devs/those that own the IP say so, always assume there won't be another one.

Think so too. Ripto's model also got a change even I didn't notice until someone pointed it out to me. The end of his cape is smooth and round while in reignited it had this curly tip at the end of it. It was probably changed for the same reason. It's an online game so many models will have to be simplified.

I’d bet $100 lol Ripto may not be in the sequel and Spyro may not age as quickly as elora since dragons, probably live a really long time compared to some type of furry mammal. Or maybe they really don’t want to spoil his design for the new game since he’s the main character… And again, riptide was some sort of reptile or dinosaur or dragon thing so he lives probably longer it may not age either if he’s in the next game! It’s definitely interesting that they’d redo the models. Looks like some folks in the comments think it’s to improve poly count, but it doesn’t necessarily seem like the new models would be any more performant than the old ones. There’s ways to make models more performant without totally redoing them. Another thing I personally noticed is the buildings behind Spyro’s hero profile at 3:15. I can’t recognize them as being from any existing Spyro (or Crash) game. I could be wrong, and someone correct me if I am, but that struck me as strange and new when I first saw it.
There is no way they wouldn’t change Spyro and ripto but would change elora for something like that. Elora looks older and more like an adult now. She looks like she was 13 and human years and it may be more like 17 or 18 now. I figured they’d age Spyro ever so slightly and subtlety if they were going to age his friends. Ripto may not be in the sequel and dragons probably live 1000 years so he may not age very much in five years like elora. She may only live to be 100 or two, so she probably ages quicker? The egg thieves makes sense to get a redesign if they are in a new game. They are different from the ones we fought after all. But why would they bring the crystal dragons back? That makes me think maybe they just want new models. I don’t know if that’s a concept that was in other games outside of the original trilogy. If so, I think it’s safe to say they’re bringing that back for the fourth game. I really want crash bandicoot five and Spyro four to set up crossover game! That Spyro is getting any attention at all - and that the devs have gone on record to say that they love Spyro and are aware that the community loves him, as well as never outright denying that a fourth game is in development, - is evidence enough for me. We just need to be patient. These guys have eyes on their community and are actively a part of it. Enjoy the cameos and guest appearances while we have them. I'm sure a new Spyro is in the future.

So the extra life is actually a previously unused version of the asset from Reignited. That's according to the Spyro modding discord anyways. So that isn't completely new at least but it's interesting they chose that instead of the final version of the extra life. The eggs are probably just meant to resemble the PS1 version of Spyro 3's eggs. Why change it? idk lol

I think the art shown at the end of the video is connected to the dragon essence. I feel like the dragon sorcerers are related to the dragon essence in some fashion (story-wise and/or game mechanics), but I'm not sure how. As for the promotional art, I honestly thought the promotional art was for a CTRumble event teasing Spyro 4, not necessarily a crossover title. Regardless, looking forward to what you think the art is for!

You mean like in The legend of Spyro series? The Dawn of the Dragon you were able to fly but I wish it was a bit more open world for you to fly around. But I would stay tethered with Cinder in the forest and just fly around lol
Honestly I prefer the Reignited thief better. More detail and all that. The loose wrappings make them look more active for their profession. As for Elora's updated appearance, my guess is it could have something to do with how she moves. In Reignited she isn't seen walking around quite as much as some of the other characters. Usually she stands in place and only moves while off screen. The few times Elora does move on screen, she has a weird and seemingly stiff way of walking. Almost like she struggles to move her legs. So because she is a playable character in Crash Team Rumble (and hopefully in Spyro 4 alongside Hunter and Bianca), it was probably easier to animate her with a more slender design. I'm just spitballing here so I could be wrong. It may also just be a design choice by the devs for the sake of it.
Im surprised you didn't mention spyro's horns glowing when he does the charge attack as another change they did. That could be reused or from for spyro 4
It was likely done to indicate to other players that Spyro is charging. I don't know if the charge is instantaneous or not in CTRumble compared to Reignited Trilogy.

If we don't count Reignited due to it being a remake, this is the first time where Spyro & Ripto fought since the GBA's Attack of the Rhynoc's back in 2003!

I don't like Elora's new model.. She looks much more human and it's a little uncanny :c AS for the thief. I don't think they'd remake a model for a new game that looks LESSER than the model they already had. Maybe it's optimization?
Hey Canadian Guy, just wanted to say that the dragon statues seen in Rumble are confirmed to be reused models from Reignited. Not the final game, but the work in progress scrapped files, we've been able to access the files since 2019. And 3:26 I know those eggs aren't what the eggs in Reignited look like, but they're very very clearly and very obviously based off the original Spyro 3's eggs. Again, perhaps even pulled from the unused Reignited assets like the dragons were. But not found in the released Reignited games files. Not saying that these details mean that Spyro 4 is never happening, but just that those specific things don't necessarily point towards it. Honestly it's very questionable if you didn't notice instantly that the eggs are based off the original Spyro 3.
I'd really hate to be this guy, but the reignited trilogy happened 5 years ago. Half a decade, and we've gotten hardly an official word of our guy since. Yeah, they're interested but 5 years is a while to not announce something. Especially something they're optimistic about. I'd LOVE to be wrong, but I'm starting to have my doubts about a new title in the near future. Let's not get TOO excited
After VGA I done waiting. I've been burned to many time and honestly, you've been one of the reasons I hot my hope up about nothing. Until Activision them selves announce something I'm out. I'll play Reignited till the heat death.
The eggs really just looked like a cleaned up version of the reignited eggs so they could have heard that criticism and with Microsoft there owner now they could have been able to clean up the design. For the egg thieves it could have been as simple as with there reignited designs they slowed the processing power to much with so many people in the map so they simplified it.
As some people have pointed out, including pretzeldelicious4200, the thief could be an optimization: given how simplified it is, I guess they made a version with a reduced polygon count so that it wouldn't make the engine implode (as we know, the game can get quite crowded). The Dragon statue could be a similar reason: new assets with less polygons (I'm not sure about this one though). About the crossover idea... my two cents: two players game like Bugs & Taz Time Busters. Spyro can glide but can't jump high enough, while Crash can jump very high but cannot glide (duh). In single player, the player can switch between them while the other is controlled by an AI, and Crash can (like in the concept art) ride Spyro so that they two remain close together while on ground (gliding with Crash on the back may either be impossible or drastically reduce the distance) Additionally, Crash can use Spyro as trampoline to reach even higher areas, while Spyro can be thrown by Crash to glide for longer distances. This is how I think a crossover game may be handled.
Something for future reference. Probably doesn't mean anything for this video, BUT: If you pause the game on the main menu, There's an option called "Game Guide". This has a bunch of things in it, Most importantly here: Explanations for the badges, How to get them for example. Here's the thing. It actually shows all badges for the maps and characters of that season, *Including ones not yet released.* It's through this, That it's revealed that Elora is going to be a healer character, With her personal badge mentioning a "Healing pulse." Also, One of the maps has a relic station involving Moneybags. Makes me think that for the Spyro maps, The Wumpa are going to be switched out for gems, And you can kill the Thieves in order to get the gems they have.

My disappointment when I watched through the whole game awards and didn't see a spyro 4 announcement, im still hoping we will get some kind of announcement next year, or if the game releases next year even better
I hope Spyro has a 4th game because of it being the year of the Dragon next year so I bet it’s Spyro year of the Dragon 2 or Spyro 4 and whatever the games gimmick is about.
I think the change in Elora's design is because of China's censorship policy, I think they didn't like that we see Elora's crotch and Toys for Bob censored the outfit so that the update is coming out in China.
I think they may have changed Elora's design to make her less "suggestive" than in Reignited. As for the other remodels, it may be to "Crash-4-ify" them (and by that I mean make their appearances more in-lime with the rest of Rumble, which does re-use certain assets from Crash 4). And regarding Dragon Essence, it could be for one of the maps coming to the game (I haven't played Artisans' Arena yet even though it released already), or perhaps the Summer Forrest speedrun party mode? Though it could still mean Spyro 4 may exist, I'm not betting on it. (also I don't think the Spyro skins mean anything outside of Rumble). Anyway, I don't think you saw this comment I made on your last Rumble stream, so I'll paste it here in case you read the comments to this video (it is very important). Can you try to bring attention to some of the core glitches that have been happening with the game when specifically in a party? Some include: -Host disconnects when matchmaking (but everyone else gets in) -Party members randomly getting kicked from the group after a match (which is really bad because they can get autobalanced onto the other team at that point). -Invites not working at all without restarting the game at least once (this only started happening in season 3). -Disconnecting from the game if you unplug your controller/headset in the character select screen. There are some other glitches that should be addressed too, like getting teleported off/through the map because the latency is preventing the game from updating player positions properly (even for people with good internet), same with hit detection/priority for things that shouldn't have landed (again because the game fails to update player positions on time). I ask you this favour because these glitches have been around since season 2 and are crippling the experience of playing this game with friends. I would try to tell the devs about this but I can't because Twitter requires phone numbers now, same with their discord server (and I'm not about to doxx myself just to ask for a bug fix). The dev team is really doing a good job with the design in this game. I do hope the game only improves, and has a good amount of seasons, because it's generally fun to play.
Why are they making new models to make them not look as good? I do think elora looks cool. She looks more attractive and more grown up. Ripto wouldn’t need a new model because he may not even be coming back for the fourth game though. I hope he does. I’m surprised they didn’t age Spyro up just a little bit. design is literally perfect in CTR and in his reignited trilogy. But if five years have passed or a year or two it makes sense. He looks just a little bit older and a little bit bigger. But it should be subtle.
Idk if anyone else noticed this but 2024 is specifically called out in reignited trilogy’s Spyro 3 platinum trophy…the trophy is literally called “Party like it’s 2024”. Now 2024 is year of the dragon as well, so likely what they were referencing but maybe also a subtle hint Spyro in 2024????? Who knows!
Honestly, I see 2024 as possible and perfect time for new Spyro game, because of the year of the dragon, by all that remodeling, maps and possibly new elder dragons in CTR. But. If that doesn't happen (Which I doubt won't), I don't think I'll expect it to happen in future years. That doesn't mean I won't stop loving Spyro. We still have amazing artists, writers, and fans who love him.
Toys for Bob revamping Elora's and the Egg Thieves' models for Crash Team Rumble definitely raises eyebrows, including mine. However, I'm not getting excited until the studio puts out videos or press releases related to Spyro 4.
How many years have you been saying its about to be announced? This is like Homer Simpson claiming the traffic light is gonna turn green now, the light stays red, and he keeps saying "Now!! Now!! Now!! Now!!" until the light actually turns green like he actually predicted when the light would change
The 3D models were most likely changed to fit the style of the Crash Team Rumble game. There could be a hidden reason behind it, but things like dragon essence and model changes can simply be artistic directions. Regarding a Crash and Spyro game, it would be interesting, but I don't think I'd like it. The design differences between the two characters in level design, camera, etc. would clash too much. Something would have to be given up that made those games what they are. I personally dislike fixed cameras, running away from the camera, and overly linear design in 3d platformers, but I digress.
Isn't the Dragon Essence the stuff you get for murdering the enemy you already turned into KFC for the gems they carried? That or some collectible from a game further down some devs that tried to capture what made the Insomniac Trilogy so good (but failed, unfortunately...).
I really hope that we do not get a Spyro crash crossover as Spyro is easily a million times cooler than crash, let's be honest. I do not like the new models as they are easily so much better in reignited. Although Spyro getting new powers, powering up his fire breath and adding others and being able to fly freely would be so amazing! He is supposed to be a Dragon and one of the things that they are known for, is being able to fly and gliding is not true flight. I just really hope that they get right and don't butcher the new Spyro game tbh.
this is completely unimportant but im a big tlos fan. the new dragon statue has banded horns, which was a stylistic choice in tlos, but as far as im aware is not really a thing in classic spyro. it also seems like the aether symbol is on it too. i doubt whatever new spyro project thats coming up is anything close to tlos, but it seems like a callback at the very least! it would be very cool for the team to pull from other spyro timelines and bring some fan-favorite characters like cynder and ignitus into a new light, and give them rep in the classic timeline! maybe im just looking at this with waaaay too much of a desperate eye. but they havent been afraid to reference skylanders and skylanders spyro (even though spyro fans have a massive hate campaign against him. unjustly i may add. hes great, if you can get past his unfortunate face!) so, it'd be cool to see tlos' legacy be worked into spyro's near and bright future.
I’m probably overthinking, but those dragon essence does give me Legend vibes, they look more mystical than any collectibles in the original games, plus the name being dragon essence implies they might be spirits from dragons, which goes more in line with the tone of Legend than the originals.
I really hope Spyro 4 is an improved version of Enter the Dragonfly, was one of my first Spyro games and I'd be so happy if its potential is fully realized
Toy's for Bob have a habit of loosing things. I think they had to rebuild them since they lost the original. To me that looked like a rebuild to the dreaded Skylanders.
Honestly, getting a Spyro/Crash crossover instead of Spyro 4 after waiting for so long would be kind of insulting. It would just prove to me that they don’t believe that Spyro can stand on his own, and he needs to rely on the Crash franchise to stay profitable. Not all of us are Crash fans either.
They’ve used Spyro to boost Crash’s popularity three times in the last 5 years, now it’s time for Spyro to get his own game.

I agree this year. I love Spyro but I’m more excited for a new crash game that’s either a sequel to crash team racing nitro fuel or another platform and I’d rather have that. I also think nitro fuel had the perfect art style. I love the more Pixar animation as opposed to this kind of Playdo look. I love that the rocks looks pretty real and some of the metal looked pretty real and there was a little more detail to the fur. I think nitro fuel had it just right. At least two is for Bob, it genuinely looks like it could be a well aged 360 game. It’s got a timeless graphics I’d say but they should at least put more work into this art style and make sure it’s very polished and finished looking.

I was sure Spyro 4 was going to get announced at The Game Awards. It was a perfect cross-promotion opportunity. My next guess is a release in September 2024, since it seems to be the Spyro month and they had such a long time by now to develop it, as well is giving us a lot of teasers, in addition to this data mine with the new assets.

Spyro 4 is no longer a question of if, it is now COMPLETLY a question of when.
If they changed Elora's design the way they have, it might even be because she could be playable in Spyro 4. In Reignited she only needed to move in a few ways for cutscenes and a few in game animations. If she's playable now, they might would need to completely overhaul her base model to make her move right in game.
If Spyro 4 has multiple playable characters like in Year of the Dragon, then honestly Elora coming back like this isn't too insane of an idea.

One thing I've noticed, there is ZERO new content scheduled for February this season. Like there's usually a bit of a lull near the final month of every season but there's usually SOMETHING, and this season had plenty content to spread out (we're getting minigames and maps in the same week). It's suspicious they crammed everything in at the start before that specific date, like they maybe have a little surprise planned for then.

I think this new models could potentially lead to a new Spyro game. Maybe Toys For Bob will give out these new models as a hint for Spyro 4? Maybe they had to update the blue thief to make it more friendly than the Reignited model? The way I see it is that the blue thief is like the original blue thief from the original Spyro games.
I could’ve fathom why they make these new models if they did not have a new game coming. Maybe they couldn’t port them over or there were something with the rights that we just don’t know all the top of our head… maybe they just really wanted to change the models but I think there’s a new game coming. it’s weird they’re using concepts from the older games in the new games. It's not a confirmation. That's like saying Johnny Bravo makes a cameo in some modern day cartoon. It's meant as a throwback/reference for those that know of him and watched that show (like me). It does not mean he's getting another cartoon. Until the Devs/those that own the IP say so, always assume there won't be another one.
Rumble reuses so many things, and it wouldn't make sense to make new models just for this game.

Think so too. Ripto's model also got a change even I didn't notice until someone pointed it out to me. The end of his cape is smooth and round while in reignited it had this curly tip at the end of it. It was probably changed for the same reason. It's an online game so many models will have to be simplified.

Hey CGE! I’m sure you’ve mentioned it before but I was just replaying the reignited trilogy and ONLY just noticed that the platinum trophy for Year of the Dragon is called “Party like it’s 2024” and with 2024 being the Chinese Year of the Dragon…coincidence?!
It’s definitely interesting that they’d redo the models. Looks like some folks in the comments think it’s to improve poly count, but it doesn’t necessarily seem like the new models would be any more performant than the old ones. There’s ways to make models more performant without totally redoing them.
Another thing I personally noticed is the buildings behind Spyro’s hero profile at 3:15. I can’t recognize them as being from any existing Spyro (or Crash) game. I could be wrong, and someone correct me if I am, but that struck me as strange and new when I first saw it.

There is no way they wouldn’t change Spyro and ripto but would change elora for something like that. Elora looks older and more like an adult now. She looks like she was 13 and human years and it may be more like 17 or 18 now. I figured they’d age Spyro ever so slightly and subtlety if they were going to age his friends. Ripto may not be in the sequel and dragons probably live 1000 years so he may not age very much in five years like elora. She may only live to be 100 or two, so she probably ages quicker? The egg thieves makes sense to get a redesign if they are in a new game. They are different from the ones we fought after all. But why would they bring the crystal dragons back? That makes me think maybe they just want new models. I don’t know if that’s a concept that was in other games outside of the original trilogy. If so, I think it’s safe to say they’re bringing that back for the fourth game. I really want crash bandicoot five and Spyro four to set up crossover game! So the extra life is actually a previously unused version of the asset from Reignited. That's according to the Spyro modding discord anyways. So that isn't completely new at least but it's interesting they chose that instead of the final version of the extra life.

I think the art shown at the end of the video is connected to the dragon essence. I feel like the dragon sorcerers are related to the dragon essence in some fashion (story-wise and/or game mechanics), but I'm not sure how.
As for the promotional art, I honestly thought the promotional art was for a CTRumble event teasing Spyro 4, not necessarily a crossover title. Regardless, looking forward to what you think the art is for!

Honestly I prefer the Reignited thief better. More detail and all that. The loose wrappings make them look more active for their profession. As for Elora's updated appearance, my guess is it could have something to do with how she moves. In Reignited she isn't seen walking around quite as much as some of the other characters. Usually she stands in place and only moves while off screen. The few times Elora does move on screen, she has a weird and seemingly stiff way of walking. Almost like she struggles to move her legs. So because she is a playable character in Crash Team Rumble (and hopefully in Spyro 4 alongside Hunter and Bianca), it was probably easier to animate her with a more slender design.
I'm just spitballing here so I could be wrong. It may also just be a design choice by the devs for the sake of it.
Im surprised you didn't mention spyro's horns glowing when he does the charge attack as another change they did. That could be reused or from for spyro 4
It was likely done to indicate to other players that Spyro is charging. I don't know if the charge is instantaneous or not in CTRumble compared to Reignited Trilogy.

Hey Canadian Guy, just wanted to say that the dragon statues seen in Rumble are confirmed to be reused models from Reignited. Not the final game, but the work in progress scrapped files, we've been able to access the files since 2019.
And 3:26 I know those eggs aren't what the eggs in Reignited look like, but they're very very clearly and very obviously based off the original Spyro 3's eggs. Again, perhaps even pulled from the unused Reignited assets like the dragons were. But not found in the released Reignited games files.
Not saying that these details mean that Spyro 4 is never happening, but just that those specific things don't necessarily point towards it.
Honestly it's very questionable if you didn't notice instantly that the eggs are based off the original Spyro 3.

I'd really hate to be this guy, but the reignited trilogy happened 5 years ago. Half a decade, and we've gotten hardly an official word of our guy since. Yeah, they're interested but 5 years is a while to not announce something. Especially something they're optimistic about. After VGA I done waiting. I've been burned to many time and honestly, you've been one of the reasons I hot my hope up about nothing. Until Activision them selves announce something I'm out. I'll play Reignited till the heat death.
The eggs really just looked like a cleaned up version of the reignited eggs so they could have heard that criticism and with Microsoft there owner now they could have been able to clean up the design.
For the egg thieves it could have been as simple as with there reignited designs they slowed the processing power to much with so many people in the map so they simplified it.
As some people have pointed out, including pretzeldelicious4200, the thief could be an optimization: given how simplified it is, I guess they made a version with a reduced polygon count so that it wouldn't make the engine implode (as we know, the game can get quite crowded). The Dragon statue could be a similar reason: new assets with less polygons (I'm not sure about this one though).
About the crossover idea... my two cents: two players game like Bugs & Taz Time Busters.
Spyro can glide but can't jump high enough, while Crash can jump very high but cannot glide (duh).
In single player, the player can switch between them while the other is controlled by an AI, and Crash can (like in the concept art) ride Spyro so that they two remain close together while on ground (gliding with Crash on the back may either be impossible or drastically reduce the distance)
Additionally, Crash can use Spyro as trampoline to reach even higher areas, while Spyro can be thrown by Crash to glide for longer distances.
This is how I think a crossover game may be handled.
That actually sounds like a fire idea for a crossover there, it sounds like something that can work really well and unique too.
I honestly would be happier if a crossover game never happened. I like them having their own games.

If you pause the game on the main menu, There's an option called "Game Guide". This has a bunch of things in it, Most importantly here: Explanations for the badges, How to get them for example. Here's the thing.
It actually shows all badges for the maps and characters of that season, *Including ones not yet released.*

Also, One of the maps has a relic station involving Moneybags. Makes me think that for the Spyro maps, The Wumpa are going to be switched out for gems, And you can kill the Thieves in order to get the gems they have.

My disappointment when I watched through the whole game awards and didn't see a spyro 4 announcement, im still hoping we will get some kind of announcement next year, or if the game releases next year even better
I hope Spyro has a 4th game because of it being the year of the Dragon next year so I bet it’s Spyro year of the Dragon 2 or Spyro 4 and whatever the games gimmick is about.

Except that wasn't a PS2 trilogy, as the third game was on PS3.
I think the change in Elora's design is because of China's censorship policy, I think they didn't like that we see Elora's crotch and Toys for Bob censored the outfit so that the update is coming out in China.

I think they may have changed Elora's design to make her less "suggestive" than in Reignited.
As for the other remodels, it may be to "Crash-4-ify" them (and by that I mean make their appearances more in-lime with the rest of Rumble, which does re-use certain assets from Crash 4). And regarding Dragon Essence, it could be for one of the maps coming to the game (I haven't played Artisans' Arena yet even though it released already), or perhaps the Summer Forrest speedrun party mode?
Though it could still mean Spyro 4 may exist, I'm not betting on it. (also I don't think the Spyro skins mean anything outside of Rumble).
Anyway, I don't think you saw this comment I made on your last Rumble stream, so I'll paste it here in case you read the comments to this video (it is very important).
Can you try to bring attention to some of the core glitches that have been happening with the game when specifically in a party? Some include:
-Host disconnects when matchmaking (but everyone else gets in)
-Party members randomly getting kicked from the group after a match (which is really bad because they can get autobalanced onto the other team at that point).
-Invites not working at all without restarting the game at least once (this only started happening in season 3).
-Disconnecting from the game if you unplug your controller/headset in the character select screen.
There are some other glitches that should be addressed too, like getting teleported off/through the map because the latency is preventing the game from updating player positions properly (even for people with good internet), same with hit detection/priority for things that shouldn't have landed (again because the game fails to update player positions on time).
I ask you this favour because these glitches have been around since season 2 and are crippling the experience of playing this game with friends. I would try to tell the devs about this but I can't because Twitter requires phone numbers now, same with their discord server (and I'm not about to doxx myself just to ask for a bug fix).

I think the essence is from the spyro 2 ripto's rage enemy drops. Just a thought.

I was thinking about the dragon essence maybe it's a game to where a dragon is trapped in crystal and if you collect the most you free the dragon and win the game
The dev team is really doing a good job with the design in this game. I do hope the game only improves, and has a good amount of seasons, because it's generally fun to play.
The new models are good, but I really like the egg thieves cloak in the original better.

Why are they making new models to make them not look as good? I do think elora looks cool. She looks more attractive and more grown up. Ripto wouldn’t need a new model because he may not even be coming back for the fourth game though. I hope he does. I’m surprised they didn’t age Spyro up just a little bit. design is literally perfect in CTR and in his reignited trilogy. But if five years have passed or a year or two it makes sense. He looks just a little bit older and a little bit bigger. But it should be subtle.

Idk if anyone else noticed this but 2024 is specifically called out in reignited trilogy’s Spyro 3 platinum trophy…the trophy is literally called “Party like it’s 2024”. Now 2024 is year of the dragon as well, so likely what they were referencing but maybe also a subtle hint Spyro in 2024????? Who knows!
Honestly, I see 2024 as possible and perfect time for new Spyro game, because of the year of the dragon, by all that remodeling, maps and possibly new elder dragons in CTR.
But. If that doesn't happen (Which I doubt won't), I don't think I'll expect it to happen in future years.
That doesn't mean I won't stop loving Spyro. We still have amazing artists, writers, and fans who love him.

Toys for Bob revamping Elora's and the Egg Thieves' models for Crash Team Rumble definitely raises eyebrows, including mine. However, I'm not getting excited until the studio puts out videos or press releases related to Spyro 4.
How many years have you been saying its about to be announced? This is like Homer Simpson claiming the traffic light is gonna turn green now, the light stays red, and he keeps saying "Now!! Now!! Now!! Now!!" until the light actually turns green like he actually predicted when the light would change
The 3D models were most likely changed to fit the style of the Crash Team Rumble game. There could be a hidden reason behind it, but things like dragon essence and model changes can simply be artistic directions.
Regarding a Crash and Spyro game, it would be interesting, but I don't think I'd like it. The design differences between the two characters in level design, camera, etc. would clash too much. Something would have to be given up that made those games what they are. I personally dislike fixed cameras, running away from the camera, and overly linear design in 3d platformers, but I digress.
Isn't the Dragon Essence the stuff you get for murdering the enemy you already turned into KFC for the gems they carried? That or some collectible from a game further down some devs that tried to capture what made the Insomniac Trilogy so good (but failed, unfortunately...).

Elora's model seems lkke a downgrade than an upgrade. She looked better in reignited. "If it ain't broke. Don't fix it"
I really hope that we do not get a Spyro crash crossover as Spyro is easily a million times cooler than crash, let's be honest.
I do not like the new models as they are easily so much better in reignited.
Although Spyro getting new powers, powering up his fire breath and adding others and being able to fly freely would be so amazing!
He is supposed to be a Dragon and one of the things that they are known for, is being able to fly and gliding is not true flight.
I just really hope that they get right and don't butcher the new Spyro game tbh.
this is completely unimportant but im a big tlos fan. the new dragon statue has banded horns, which was a stylistic choice in tlos, but as far as im aware is not really a thing in classic spyro. it also seems like the aether symbol is on it too. i doubt whatever new spyro project thats coming up is anything close to tlos, but it seems like a callback at the very least! it would be very cool for the team to pull from other spyro timelines and bring some fan-favorite characters like cynder and ignitus into a new light, and give them rep in the classic timeline! maybe im just looking at this with waaaay too much of a desperate eye. but they havent been afraid to reference skylanders and skylanders spyro (even though spyro fans have a massive hate campaign against him. unjustly i may add. hes great, if you can get past his unfortunate face!) so, it'd be cool to see tlos' legacy be worked into spyro's near and bright future.
I’m probably overthinking, but those dragon essence does give me Legend vibes, they look more mystical than any collectibles in the original games, plus the name being dragon essence implies they might be spirits from dragons, which goes more in line with the tone of Legend than the originals.
I really hope Spyro 4 is an improved version of Enter the Dragonfly, was one of my first Spyro games and I'd be so happy if its potential is fully realized
Toy's for Bob have a habit of loosing things. I think they had to rebuild them since they lost the original. To me that looked like a rebuild to the dreaded Skylanders.
