    I have a sf314-54G with 4GB fixed and 4 removable, i know switching 4 with 8 to get 12 is possible. But would it be worth trying to use a 16GB ram to get a total of 20 even if the listed max ram is 12? I've seen some people say it's possible but opinions differ

    • @ItsBinhRepaired
      @ItsBinhRepaired  5 місяців тому

      Opinions don't matter. Facts do. If it worked for one person of the same model, it'll work for all.

    Hello, I have two issues with this laptop,
    1) I have only 4GB RAM, can I upgrade RAM to 8GB or 16GB? What form factor does it have?
    2) My laptop shuts down instantly when i plug off from battery, but the battery worked perfect before that, what can be the issue?

    • @ItsBinhRepaired
      @ItsBinhRepaired  5 місяців тому +1

      1) Yes. The info for the type of RAM is in the video.
      2) I recommend trying another battery.

    Another stupid design by Acer, yes one can "Upgrade" the ram slot under the cover. Though if the soldered on RAM goes bad well one is left with a brick. I had one for a client and the soldered on RAM was failing as was leaking memory up to 90% with 8GB [4GBx2]. The top one was fine, though the inane soldered onboard one wasn't; useless and frustrating design.
