Great Analysis sir Would you say, my parents, dreaming black boy and theme for English B have similar themes, or that these poems indirectly brings out the same or similar messages/ meaning? For some reason I think in our exam they will ask to compare 2 of the 3
Thanks for watching! Well, Dreaming Black Boy and Theme for English B are extremely similar thematically. I wouldn't say My Parents is very similar to them. Although, all 3 poems deal with desires and dreams, and longing to be accepted by others. If you look at it from that angle then they could be lumped together.
