- Wally Wally. Wally World. Mr Szczerbiak definetly deserves a long and fair NBA highlight video. I remember when I was a kid (early 2000s), we (basketball kids) used to proudly say we (Poles) have ONE GREAT player of polish roots in the NBA. Wally was an All-Star and overall a star caliber player for a while. And OF COURSE WE ALSO HAD PIKE Piatkowski (nobody ever imagined Laettner, Sura, Dickau, Przybilla - actually it's so obvious now; are Polish Americans too - some people did ofc realize Joel's surname sounds familiar...). But... Yeah... For the Polish American part now. Wally's grandparents emigrated to the U.S. from Ukraine just after WW II. So basicially Wally is Ukrainian American. BUT here we go with Szczerbiak surname itself. It's a 100% polish surname with ORIGINAL spelling. Wally's surname wasn't changed to Ukrainian spelling as well as American spelling. That's why polish roots in Wally's family are so clear. We also have to dig
deeper into the history. Most of today's western Ukraine was back in a day Poland. Poles and Ukrainians lived together as neighbours, families. So at some point the polish gene has been added to Wally's family. And it stays VERY strong. Szczerbiak is very tough word to spell correctly, trust me (Sh-ch-er-biak)! So that's why at the end I decided to add the great Wally Szczerbiak to my Polish Americans in the NBA series. And finally make a fair highlight video of a player I always really liked. And as we speak about Wally's Ukrainian roots I also want to pay tribute to our great Ukrainian neighbours who are now fighting not only for their freedom but also for ours, Europe's and the entire FREE WORLD. Wally Szczerbiak would average 23+ in todays NBA.
He’d be great.
People don’t realize Wally was an all around scorer, but obviously his calling card was he was a lethal shooter from anywhere.
True!
Such a great player! He said he always did a little cocaine before each game - it definitely helped with his jump shot!!
Wally, he was a THE shooter for a short span of years, but he was a consistant treat and a top tier for his whole career.
True. Star for a short time, super solid player entire career. Too bad injuries forced him to retire at such a “young” age, still.
Another player I grew up watching. I forgot about Wally World.
People forget he's a 20ppg scorer and an all star in his best years in the NBA
I liked him back in the day. such an underrated player
Patrys is the GOAT for under appreciated NBA player vids! And man Wally was with Boston during some mighty lean years for the Celtics. One of the few reasons (he and Pierce) that I went to any games during 2005-2007.🙏🏻☘️
Thanks bro!😃 To be at so many games is craaazy!
NBA Wally World 🌍
You're back!! I love it!!
Not back BACK. But I may mix something up once in a while. :)
Well-made highlights AGAIN! Here's hoping we get some Brent Barry in the future.
I’m not saying no my friend. Definitely not saying no. Brent was super exciting player and my sources have plenty of Brent’s highlights in them, haha.😅
@@BigPatrys15Big fan of Bones as well! He was like a less skilled but flashier Ginobili. Always entertaining to watch.
Damn this is such a good vid but the cherry on top of the sundae is the music. What are the songs you used?
I literally dont remember bro. I found them here on YT looking for „80s style beat”.😃
Enjoyed watching it! May I ask, how long does it usually take you to make such high quality highlights?
It all depends. Since the idea to the final video a month I’d say? I started getting Wally stuff along with Sura. So to make both videos it took me a month😃 2-3 hours a day of watching games, cutting clips, selecting them and mixing all up at the end. It’s harder now than it was 10-15 years ago since adult life takes its time too but from time to time the old passion hits me right in my Sony Vegas haha😂
I know he had a dunk over Duncan when he was with the Sonics that wasn't here.
You think I have an access to every single NBA game? However, you reminded me that dunk now too. Driving baseline and Timmy trying to block it on the right side of basket I think. Back when I was watching old NBA clips from NBA's website haha!
your videos are fucking awesome love them...
Haha thanks bro.😆
No Kenny Smith man
