I made a make up bag with my sisters name hand embroidered on the front. A huge 20x20 inch patchwork cushion cover for my nan. I got baby clothes from each of my siblings and embroidered the fabric onto a jumper spelling “Mama” for my mom. And lastly, I made my mother in law a Christmas ornament in her favourite colour with her initial hand embroidered on the front and her recently passed dogs paw print on the back. I loved making each one and I’m already thinking of doing a bigger handmade Christmas next year ☺️
Thank you! I just finished my handmade gifts. 2 Christmas stockings and a car/village playmate for grandsons, 1 lap quilt for sil, a recycled over size sweatshirt embellished with lace, appliques, Volkswagen Buzz embroidery (she just got an EV Buzz), peace signs and rhinestones for my daughter, 2 market bags and 4 makeup totes for friends. I am done! Happy Christmas!!!
The beret is fabulous and so is the mallard😍 When you come to Paris you should check out a shop called fil 2000 which sells trimmings etc and is the French equivalent to London's VV Rouleaux. Great work highlighting fabric as giftwrap. We have been fabric only for 3 years now and all the bags get reused every year. I use old lace and crochet pieces to decorate x
The gift bags are a lovely touch. The duck is adorable. Made a few gifts this Christmas including a cat bed, denim bag and dressing gowns made from character duvet covers
I was hysterical at your comment about using all the fabric behind you in the new year.....I've been saying this for the last 3 years but just ended up with more😂😂😂😂
I love the fabric bags for presents I'm really keen to start this next year as well. I have made 4 fabric stockings for my daughter & her family which I quilted. A fabric bookmark for my Mum. Some bowl cozies which are fantastic for when you have a hot bowl of food. A quilted pencil case for my sister. A quilted sunglasses case for Mum. Merry Xmas
Hello, I'm just a beguinner at sewing, but i'm making some tote bags for friends, a brush roll holder for an artist friend and a pair of trousers for my Mum... fingers crossed. Merry Christmas!
So I have really enjoyed your channel because you are focused on reusing, recycling, and sustainability as well as super creative! Your patchwork designs are G O R G E O U S! I have tried to share your channel with other youtube creators only to find out that they also are followers of your channel. They are Luz Upcycles, and Catherine Sews. They also have been using the patchwork idea of sustainable fashion through use of fabrics scraps. Anyway, I really enjoy your channel. I really enjoy your creativity, your content and your character and personality. Refreshing!
Your mum’s beret is gorgeous. She will look very chic in Paris. As always I enjoyed your vlog and I’m so pleased that you are going to have another one tomorrow. I would love to learn crochet too but I’m not sure that my brain can handle it, my attempts at knitting are not the best. I think I would need to start learning with a children’s kit 😔
I made my granddaughter 4 outfits and crochet 3 bucket hats for her. I made my one daughter Christmas tree folded material napkins x 12. Now to wrap them and gifts I bought - my worst part
I'm not even gonna pretend that I could possibly use up all my fabric. Ha ha ha ha.😂 nor do I want to! if I had no fabric I think I would freak out. Another fun way to do the duck would've been trapunto stuffing. It turned out really cute.
Love all your gift ideas, they look great! Just something I noticed, your Dad has the least gifts out of everyone…I know his gift took you a while to make, and it looks amazing, but in comparison to everything you are giving your mum (flights etc), it does seem a little unbalanced. He may not say anything to you about it, but I’m sure he will notice it 💗
Using up fabric....in 2025..don't go in fabric stores. ...ok ...every sewer is looking at their stash..how about I try ...Merry Vlogmas...love the bags , great incentive
Again a lovely fun video. I so enjoy your excitement when you creating a gift.

I honestly reckon I can do it! The floor to ceiling fabric stash is overwhelming sometimes hahah!
