This is horrible. His legs went completely limp. Reaching for his back immediately is a very bad sign, god I hope he didn't sever his spine. Fastest LB in the NFL 3 hours ago & now he might never walk again. Tragic.

I was covering a punt when I was a senior. We were undefeated and trying to win the conference but we were losing so I was trying to make a play. I lowered my head trying to take the returner and was probably inches away from breaking my neck, when I got up was fuzzy and I knew exactly what I did. I prayed extra hard that night in thanks to God that I didn’t end up like Shazier. Football is a dangerous sport and you must know what you sign up for before you put the helmet on.

David Dixon It was a contusion, not a concussion. Much more serious. He had spinal stabilization surgery today. I believe they are hopeful he will be able to walk again at some point, but there's definitely a good chance he will not play football again.

John Smith Well Contusion Concussion who knows sources say one thing one say the other but there is a little chance he won't be you gotta think about it there's a low chance of him not being able to play because of the injury but the chance that he'll retire. But if you know shazier he is a warrior if there's a chance he can play again I believe he will take it and Come back

That rolling over on his left arm worries me to he didn't seem to feel anything despite the fact that had to be painful with your arm behind u like that rolling onto it. His squeezing his hand is a sad sign that he seemed pretty sure he messed up His back and was seemingly testing if he could move his fingers. Hopefully this is not the case. I hope he's ok.

Bengals fan here, I’m glad to have seen him walking in yesterday game when he was assisting Mason Rudolph. I hate that the injury he sustained was with the bengals. I hate that the rivalry is so strong/ridiculous between the 2 teams. It’s getting old fast. I have seen so many things while working at/for the bengals during these rivalry games. The sad part is, the rivalries with the ravens and browns aren’t as bad or dangerous as this rivalry.

The targeting calls people whine about are not to protect the ball carrier but also the tackler. One play ended and amazing football career… I’m glad to see he’s back up and doing better but sadly he will probably never be even 75%
