It's a commentary how we take from our future selves in moments of selfishness. Like going out drinking at night and indulging more, knowing you'll get hungover, but thats a problem for "future self"
@the19kings the way is given here, still doesn't make sense. She had everything, she was loved and didn't want to miss it. A lot of people who rely on their beauty don't want to miss it. A desire turned to horror science fiction, that gave her absolutely nothing. This wasn't even herself
I don’t get it either since they don’t even share a single consciousness or memories. The older version of hers is in fact reaping zero benefits since she’s not even experiencing youth again.
This movie made me feel every emotion. Disgust at the way Demi Moore's character was treated. Excitement when Margaret's character was making it big. Sadness when Demi Moore kept trying to re-do her look for her date. Horror when their bodies started deforming. And then hilarity during the insane third act. An absolutely wild ride.

Why were you "excited" that a somewhat young woman (Sue) was selling her sex appeal to gain fame from people and sexual interest from young men? In what way does it deserve your "excitement"? Do you worship women for not really doing any good thing?
this isn't exactly getting to be young again. this is like basically handing half your life over to someone else while you don't get to enjoy any of the benefits. I mean, its a different person.
Because you'll never be young again. Your younger self IS a different person. And you will be facing the consequences and paying the price for the benefit your younger self enjoyed. So treat your older self like you are one and the same, and do what's best for both of you, not just you.
@@shadowmekar honestly I think they did share the same mind, which is why it all went wrong, it created two copies of herself with the same mindset, never wanting to let go of their youth. @RS54321 because they're all obsessed with pursing the top 1-10% of men out there. Most of them know, deep down, that they're not attractive enough to get one of those men, and their personalities typically really suck too, so making themselves LOOK like they're a lot more attractive makes them think they're more valuable than they actually are.

Haven't watched the show, but the premise is very metaphorical. And it would apply not just to females, but people in general. How there is a younger and an older self. And if the young one takes bad care of itself, then the older version gets to pay though discomforts and rapid aging. It's a tug of war between 2 people who are one person, but possessing 2 contradicting moralities. How would young vs. old work, if they weren't a different generation, but the same person encountering themselves form a different time?
