Oh it's so wonderful to know that with all the madness in the world, you are stringing onions as I am, and I've just come in from incorporating the chopped straw from the chicken coop into a bed for my garlic. To know there is continuity, life on "slow" in the garden and related chores, and on your farm life is the same as on my farm. Bless your hearts!

@@CastleHillGarden Thanks Cliff, I always do add bone meal and thank you for the kind reminder. This was a strange year over here, greenhouse tomatoes flourished while garden tomatoes shriveled. Red cabbage is huge, as were the onions, pole beans grew but only half as tall as usual. Shaking my head! Stay safe and strong and healthy!

Your onions look so nice strunged up. Unfortunately I have no onions to string up this year because of the onion fly maggots, but I strunged up my onions according to your instructions last year.
Nice harvest of spuds too. I was happy with my Sarpo Mira, but not with my favorite potato KerrsPink. Many potatoes, but tiny. So sad they do not like to grow in my sandy soil.

Does it matter to hang them outside to dry if there is a roof over them even though there are no sides on the building. Will the humidity of rain interfere with their drying out properly?
