Well.. Well Well.. Firstly, thank you both for doing this reaction video. The reaction that you both had right after the trailer, can easily be resonated by each one of us as well. This is not a movie, this is an emotion that I am glad Vivek Sir and crew had courage to showcase it on such a large ground. I watched this movie recently and trust me I guess after Bahubali-1, I saw an entire hall full of people for a hindi movie here in US. This is in itself an achievement for the makers of this movie and a huge KUDOS to Anupam Kher sir and other lead actors for taking up this challenge and clearly doing super justice to it.
My late grandfather an amid writer, a decorated KAS officer and a vivid cricket fan.. who also happened to be one of the last person from our family to leave his motherland always used to curse the political system of Kashmir. It was quite visible like how some Kashmiri political leaders when appeared on TV used to make him so so uncomfortable, that sometimes he used to just walk out of the room. So... out of curiosity one day, I questioned him to understand why would he get upset with this leadership. That day, I remember him telling me in a very whimper sound 'Tohey chev yaet zaemat, tohey tarev nae phikar kye' (you are born here outside Kashmir, you probably won't understand...) So he began to tell me what he saw, what he heard and what he felt during this period (early 90's) of unrest when he and my entire family was in Kashmir...
I guess I was too young to understand the entire refugee/exodus thing. I guess I must have been in my 7th standard or so but it did somehow in me created this curiosity vibe that made me know more about it.. and this curiosity grew more when my Non-Kashmiri friends used to tease me by saying why didn't you do anything when they killed your community people, they threatened you....in fact I once heard someone also saying 'you could have picked up guns and replied back with violence'... why did you leave everything and moved out of valley like cowards.....
ahhh, it was tough.. ... very tough....
gradually I did find answers to almost all of my questions and I am sure many like me would have.... but sadly there's nothing but pain in each answer.
There is so much to understand what many kashmiri pandit families would have gone through when every day they were threatened, murdered or raped in their own homeland. We were forced to leave everything behind and save ourselves.. families who used to dine in silverware where now on the mercy of local authorities for ration... so many of us had big, well architected houses with farms as big that sometimes couldn't even be measured, we were put to live in tents, camps result of which..many of us died... tough....unfair...
we were termed as citizens living as refuge in our own country... nobody except few 'HINDU' leaders came forward to help us... but one thing I can tell and request all my kashmiri community is, to be super PROUD of themselves... they killed us but couldn't kill our spirit, they snatched from us but couldn't prosper... fact to be told - today there's not even a single Kashmiri, not even one who is begging for their livelihood... I can loudly and proudly say that we are a community of intellectuals, rishis-peers and brahmins and we when time came have always proved that how a PEN can be mightier than a SWORD.
Sorry for the long post! I couldn't control my emotions and what better than the comment section of a channel whose vlogs show the common household kashmiri day to day. Thanks again! More power to all of us... God Bless Kashmir, God Bless us!

We were grown to higher positions then and still we're at higher positions. Ever wondered who created R&AW and NSG for this country? What that pig Morraji Desai did was because he envied R.N. Kao, he envied too much power in the hands of people of single community and that's why he compromised the identity of R&AW agents during the operation Kahuta and was awarded Nishan-e-Pak. That's why most of the Kashmiri Pandits went to U.S. because they never get the kind of support from other Hindu communities which they deserved, which is started to be given now after so long.

Kashmir Valley faced brutal Continuous Islamic Invasions, Colonization, Ethno Cultural Genocides,Islamic Evangelisation and Militant Missionary Sufism which ultimately destroyed the Indigenous Native Vedic Civilization Dharmic Identity with final level of Demographic Conversions.

It is an abode of Maa Shardha Devi Kashmeera Purvasini (Shardha Puranam)
Kashmir name itself comes from the word Rishi(Sage) Kashyap.

Cherry picking an incidence, dramatizing it, exaggerating it, concocting and instilling victimization is yet another dirty move by the radical right wing. There are more than a 97,480 Kashmiris killed in Kashmir, the ratio of 97,480 and 89 just requires a simple math, but alas if they only understood the difference between a whatsApp forward and stats. My parents and all seniors of our family was forced to leave our home, village, and farm lands, then become beggars in Kolkata. It was terrible time.

Giving a response to the movie is fine, but now it is high time that the actual generation of Kashmiri Pandits needs to come forward and tell their stories that faced the genocide/atrocities and were forced to leave Kashmir. They must be highly publicised. Please start with your parent's story video.

I'm no longer living in India now but know that it will be my duty to share this with all my friends from a bunch of different countries... so that they know how our Parents and Grandparents suffered and were robbed of their homes!

This was not the first time , that the genocide and exodus of kashmiri hindus had happened . This was the 7th exodus of Our community .Most of the exodus had happened after 14th century during the reign of Sikandar Butshikan (destroyer of idols) who also destroyed the Martand Sun temple built by Samrat Lalitaditya Muktapid. I would suggest you to watch the video "Ashish Dhar on real problem in Kashmir and why India needs a Hindu state" on channel Vaad.
Ashish Dhar is also a kashmiri pundit like us.He also runs a channel Upword.
Our family left the valley in 16th century during mughal control on kashmir migrated to Bengal. In Bengal bhats are known as bhattacharya , there are many family in Bengal having the title dhar , bakshi , dattatreya , Kulshreshtha , Kaul, pandit ..The name kashmir comes from rishi kashyap who was one of the vedic sages . Kashyapa meru which was surrounded by satisar lake. We are one of the oldest aboriginals of kashmir....

Enjoy sanathana dharma and it’s benefits fully..
on this shivarathri day, may bholenath bless you all prosperity
Adding my additional comments: my heart bleeds whenever I read / hear / watch anything on Kashmir .. can’t take anymore .. I am not from Kashmir..
I know how it feels leaving home as I left to US.. but I don’t know how it feels ‘forced out’ .. I know it’s the worst feeling any being on this planet, leave alone human .. In my town where i grew up, there is an engineering college .. where I met older professor from Kashmir .. in that age ( around 60+ ) came to other end of bahrath , Kurnool , AP for livelihood.. sad .. extremely sad ..
Pullareddy was head of Vishwa Hindu Parishad .. he helped many .. he gave him job..
All this , what happened to Hindus in Kashmir .. I watched during my teenage and in my 20’s ..
I want justice for those unfortunate souls

In 70s I have visited J & K and impressed with the landscapes, culture, simplicity and hospitality of the people. In 2005 I met with a Kashmiri Pandit. We were working the same company at U A E. I was shocked about their mass exodus and brutality explained by him and couldn't believe. Back home, when Pushpendra Kulshrestha and Susil Pandit narreted about exodus and Valmiki people's hardships,in you tube I was literally cried. I met with one Kashmiri Pandit at Cochin, Kerala, who was running a jewelry shop. He too explained their past history which they were trying to forget. Among one of his speech, Pushpendra ji mentioned about "Kashmiri Files" the book and movie, that time itself I have decided to watch it. I am proud to be an Indian, especially, when our brave P. M. Modiji and Amit Shaji brought back Kashmiri Pandits to their lost lands and properties, with various brave steps. I will visit J & K again, ones Corona subsidies. I love Kashmiris.

its just been recent a couple of years back when the details of the Kashmiri Pandits genocide came to light to majority of Indian in its true form. what surprises me is when this happened i was in school and i was a very well informed student and used to read news papers like crazy and was upto date.. i dont remember the papers publish such news in any detail. I feel so sad for the people .. the Indians who had to flee from their homes in their own country.. this is so heart wrenching and infuriating.. i can bet this was suppressed and not many new.. shame on all the media and the politicians who kept their mouth shut... we failed Kashmiri Pandits..
As a common Bhartiya citizen feel so helpless and is this what we deserve.. all politics aside...giving security to live and flourish is the only important job of the system.. you cant fail in doing this.. i hope this is never repeated but sadly even today Hindus are forced to shift homes from one city to another due to communal violence. we should not shift .. get united raise voice so that the govt is forced to take the right steps of reprimanding the rioters and threats and letting the people live in peace..

Tears constantly rolled down , I could feel the lump in the throat while you both were talking . I am so so soooo attached to my village in UP , I just can't imagine if someone tells me leave the place , something which I can't imagine , Kashmiri Hindus have living this horrific reality , wrenches my heart .
