  • In this video I answer a great question I got in the comment section, "what was the DAT like and how did you prepare for it?". If you have questions or video topic recommendations please leave a comment :)
    I go over what to expect on test day, including the subjects and sections that appear on the DAT. And I talk a bit about my study process including my recommendation of two great online DAT study resources, Coursesaver or Chad's Videos and DAT Bootcamp.
    Hope you enjoy the video!
    xoxo

      Sometimes hard work doesn’t pay you have to back it up with smartness🤓, I think your cousin understood that perfectly

  • @Sarahh_

    Thanks for this!! Important question : I have 2 weeks left after studying for around 2 months. Would you say bootcamp is more representative of the exam or not? I’ve been solely using bootcamp and used destroyer for some GC problems since GC is very vast. But I’m quite anxious because I was scoring well on bio practice tests and my scores started going down. But I’m way better in bio than any other so I thought I had a good grasp. Is the actual DAT bio that specific??

    • @jasmineahrar
      @jasmineahrar  4 роки тому +2

      Hey! I thought the bio part was all over the place, but the questions I got were for the most part pretty general. Each test is different though, so you might get a lot of questions you know. I really loved using DAT Bootcamp for practice questions. I also liked crack the dat towards the end of my studying for practice questions.

    I have just come across your videos and it has inspired me to move forward with the decision I have made. 😄😄
    I have a question
    I am kind of confused if I should take a gap year for preparing for the DAT exam or if I should take the traditional route? I would really appreciate it if you could help me out!

    • @jasmineahrar
      @jasmineahrar  3 роки тому

      Hi there! I honestly find so much value in a gap year because of the relaxation it can offer in between undergrad and dental school and you can really just focus on the DAT and your application. Recharging will also feel so nice. However I think you should apply as soon as you are ready because if you get in a year earlier it will just feel so good and graduating a year younger is always a plus in my opinion. Even if you dont get in, gong thru the application process can be a really great learning experience. So really both are good options but it depends on what you want your route to look like and what works for you. I hope this helps!!

    First, I’d like to thank you for sharing these information w us! It is really helpful, especially for me, because I’d love to pursue a career in dentistry and tbh I am just a high schooler doing research about it. My question is, do you think becoming a dentist in US is similar to becoming a dentist in Canada? Thank you!
