It Hurts To See My Boi Raoul At the Bottom In Terms Of Speed
I find it hilarious that an F1 car struggled to beat a NASCAR sprint car, a couple LMPs, a handful of various GT cars, a DTM car, a WRC car, and a road legal track car.
I bet he wouldve smoked most but because its a kids movie, they wanted everything to be equal lmao
Dirt
I’m surprised a WRC car showed up at all, they’re setup for acceleration, not speed, let alone having the lowest specs of the whole grid
Also it looks like they have to train, so just like irl athletes at the top of their sports have similar peaks.
Well if it were realistic he would've broke in that rally section
It was a shame that Cars 2 focused so much on the spy aspect of the movie, if they put all the attention on the WGP, it could have been much more captivating and interesting imo.
True, I felt like the whole movie was about Mater and not about McQueen and the WGP.. I'm quite sad about that because I'd love to have seen more of Francesco and the other racers..
To be honest, I was intrigued by the spy aspect and seeing a homicide car made me think where in the world of cars is there something worse crime or facts and more gruesome things that are interesting than just racing cars.
Dont forget that irritating towtruck
Yeah more like planes 1
NO NO NO CARS 2 I LOVED IT THE SPY ASPECT WAS SO EXCITING OF COURSE THE WGP WOULD HAVE BEEN THE BEST RACE OF ALL 3 FILMS BUT THE SPY ASPECT WAS SO EXCITING AND CARS 4 NEEDS TO BE A SPY FILM WITH FINN AND HOLLEY!!
I wish Pixar would give these characters more screentime or add them to the video games more often. They are one of the reasons I rewatch Cars 2
I agree. There’s such a focus on Mcqueen and Francesco the whole time I wish they could’ve switched the others in more or thrown in more information or lines for them. Or even let one of them take the lead. Mcqueen isn’t the only good racer there. Particularly cars like Shu should be keeping more up or even in front of him
@@ralphthompson9033 True, Shu and Carla were very consistent. They definitely are some of the best racers in this franchise.
what they shouldve done was show certain cars abilities and not just that one rally scene, I feel like there shouldve been more scenes whith conering and straightline speed coming into play
When I was a kid, I used to rewatched it very often
Lol no its just like real life
Fun fact: depending on which language you watched the movie in, a different racer would take the place of Lewis Hamilton. For example, in Spanish Fernando Alonso would take Lewis’ place and in German, Sebastian Vettel would take Lewis’ place
I think Finnish was Mika Hakkinen too!
no lewis is also in the german version
sebastian vettel is max schnell in germany because his name in the german version is sebastian schnell
Sebastian (Vettel) Schnell did not take the spot of Lewis, he was there instead of Jeff Gorvette (but just in the scene where he is talking to Lewis Hamilton while Mater is eating wasabi..)
didnt seb do italian too?
RIP seems like a fun guy tbh, when everyone is all serious and everything, he just had a lil smile on his face just happy to be there
He was so underrated
Even when he's dead last. Nothing upsets him except a hardware explosion
Who?
@@B.Y.68 Rip Clutchgoneski, he’s the other formula racer
@@imthegrayman oh... I- I see...
Honestly, focusing on world racing styles would have been a great Cars 2 plot.
That would’ve been leagues better than the spy stuff, instead of the spy stuff it could be about how McQueen suffered losses at the start of the WGP and has to learn to adopt racing skills from other nations just like how he adopted Doc Hudson’s dirt racing techniques to better himself on the track

The fact Francesco is faster then storm-
@@TheChamp820 Francesco vs Storm needs to happen
@@twistedaxles9126
In an oval track, Storm wins.
In a Grand Prix, Francesco wins.
It is said in the Italy race that Francesco grew in the Porto Corsa course, but in the Japan course, none of the cars ever were on that track
This means that Francesco was always the most likely racer to win the championship due to home track practice
That’s what I thought they even say in Tokyo “None of them have driven this track. None of them have used this fuel. The WGP will truly crown the world’s fastest car.” Basically trying to show how equal and fair everything will be. Then immediately throw it away for the Porto Corsa race by saying Francesco grew up racing on this track. Like why even say that? Or why even say the other if you wanted to say that?
Where? Definitely not in this video.

According to the Meet the Cars book Rip is part of the Formula 6000 series which is a fictional series.
@@GB12trackstarI have known what type of car Rip Clutchgoneski really is, he's a Caparo T1
@@harrisonkelly-kj7kf While he does look nearly similar to one, Rip is a 2005 Formula 6000 Racer which is an in-house design. Similar to Lightning McQueen, Jackson Storm or Mater, he is not based on one particular model, but rather draws inspiration from more than one car.
The engine types of the racers are normally related to the racing cars from the discipline they're based off of. Rip's engine is a 3.5-liter DOHC V8 with 650 hp, an engine commonly seen in IndyCars from 2003 to 2011. From an older concept design of the racers, he was supposed to look like an Indy which means that while he has influence from cars like the Hulme F1 and Caparo T1, his actual basis is a late 2000's IndyCar, specifically a Dallara IR-05. This would be true because the racers are meant to represent popular racing series and IndyCar is one of many. The model year of the characters, specifically the WGP Racers, also have some connection to the car they're based on.
For example Raoul is a 2006 Global Rally Car Racer, a Pixar in-house design based on the Citroen C4 WRC. The year 2006 was when the Citroen C4 WRC was introduced at some Paris Motor Show.
Lewis Hamilton is a 2009 Grand Touring Sports Special GBG, an in-house design based on a special prototype model of the McLaren MP4 12C. 2009 was the year that this car was first unveiled and a special prototype model was made available from 2009 to 2010.
Shu Todoroki is a 2006 Le Motor Prototype J8 which is based on Peugeot 908 HDi FAP. 2006 was when Peugeot 908 HDi FAP was first introduced.
Carla Veloso is a 2009 Le Motor Prototype B12, an in-house design based on the Drayson Lola B09/60 Judd. 2009 was the year this car first came out. The B12 name she gets is from the Lola Drayson B12/69 EV, an electric racecar based on the B09/60 Judd.
fun fact: the “Number 1” in Formula 1 is only used if you win the World Driver’s Championship the season prior. It is also by choice. Lewis Hamilton chose not to through his championship years while Max Verstappen chose to for this season. This means that Francesco won the Formula 1 World Driver’s Championship in the year prior to Cars 2
yea makes sense

Often times their work is genius and provides multi-layered spectacle.

I have a theory on Cars over that "Mazda..." (who currently appears to be a Nissan Fairlady)
...that appears that cars could change their bodies. For example, one may appear like the common daily hatchbacks you see on the street during weekdays, but on weekends, they switch to being a pretty sporty coupe. Another example is that as a racer retires, they change their body from a race car to a normal road car. Sorry if I can't explain pretty well.
That's what I was thinking. Some of the racers were probably road cars before they converted themselves into race cars or go karts.
That could be the reason why Michael Schumacher in the first Cars Movie wasn't an f1 car

I have to pick about Franchesco’s 0-60 time being only 2.5 seconds. It actually takes a long time for F1 cars to get up to speed. To the point where a human could outrun one for the first 10 metres. That’s why all F1 races are from rolling starts instead of at a starting line.
Bro… all f1 races have standing starts. 0-100 kph in 2.5 and 0-200kph in 5.
They only do rolling starts when there is a safety car.
F1 cars are literally the fastest ground vehicles on earth.
There is no car that can match them.
The amount of downforce they create is huge.
8:26 is my favourite
Raoul ÇaRoule is my fave he looks really epic and his personality is very cool
And I know now that Lightning's actual name is Monty.
Neat.
