We finish up the tape job on the custom flames using 2" tape and get them ready for paint. Justin shows us a history book he wrote!

You can quickly tell that Justin is a go-getter! Writing a book about his home town and now learning how to do flames. We all learn from our mistakes and those we remember! Thank Justin and Pete!
Really cool series Pete and Justine's book and history is awesome!!
Hi Pete, Pieter from South Africa, thanks for all the awsome info
Super cool book right there! Really enjoying this D.I.Y. Auto School flame series…. As always 👍
Thank you Pete!
Pete thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge and tricks. I’ve been thinking about doing flames on my 50 Chevy fleetline and this really made me feel confident in doing it
Nice 👍🏻🔥🔥😊
Yoo #3 ! Let go !
Effin' Cool #ART Pete ! - My Brother has a VW Karmen Ghia that Needs Restoration. There is History to it all. No Sh*t! Original Right Hand Drive for a VW! Pretty Unique. He won't sell it and it's Rotting Away ! He's even had Lambourghini or Ferrari looking at it in the Past. Turned them All Down. He's a Hard Man to Bargain With. And He's My Brother!!! I Love Him.
I can get Photos.
Cool 😎
Bring back the bodyshop girl 👧
I needed thins video, with the things going on in the world right now I’ve been pondering selling the race car… and buying a 59 bel air , nothing nice kindah ratty looking as long as the interior is there and lifting it on 40’s with a long travel suspension kit and yeah yeah I’m going to get roasted for this but I wander a 4barrel DOUBLE PUMPER on it.
I don’t need electrical components taking a dump. And I think this paint job WILL do it justice
👍
Hi Pete, when i did flames back in the early 80s, i use to use a new grease pencil, draw over the paper like you did with the crayon, but when i lifted the paper, turned it over, i just rubbed fairly hard and it transfered over. I didnt use the paper you have i used wax paper
You had to use what you had and could afford. Art supply stores or a place to buy materials was not around the corner it was miles in many cases! I give you a "Tip of the Hat". Thanks for your story!
