It's not only his speed, he does incredibly creative drum parts that I've never heard anyone else play! His creativity is being overlooked too often

The problem I have with Archspire is that they’re so hyper-technical that there is just TOO much going on at the same time that when it’s over you’re left sitting there going ‘wuh? Where, who?’ And it’s like that even when you hear the track 10 times over 🤣 and I just can’t get into it.
I see the guitar player and drummer are definitely good, but the song isn't good. Technicality and precision doesn't automatically translate to good song writing. The whole thing is just the same tempo pretty much. They would be better off displaying their talents on speed and precision in spurts, not the entire song stuck on one speed .
Archspire, to me, unfortunately, sound like a parody band. It doesn’t help that the vocalist sounds like Nathan Explosion (not a good thing.) I applaud the technicality, but I can’t appreciate it. I do have to say, for me, this new track of theirs is easily the most listenable of their stuff.
Late reply. Have you changed your stance? As soon as some fan explained he was emulating speed rap in this form it clicked for me. Now I just see talent.

I've seen them twice live as well. Once in a small hole in the wall with 30 ppl and they absolutely killed it. I've never seen a performance so on point.

his name is jared, only bassist i know the name of. What's more insane is the fact that he apparently picked up bass just for Archspire.
His name is Jared Smith - and as rightly said , he's a jazz guy , used to do guitar , but picked up bass just for playing archspire around 2015-16 .... And by no means would anyone use the suffix 'poor' for him , have a look at his 'Remote Tumor Seeker Bass Playthrough' i doubt you'll say that again after watching it....
