    EXACTLY what I was looking for... you have no idea how long I've been waiting for a video about this!
    I've been wanting to restring my mala for maybe over a year now and after putting it off, not knowing if my research was correct to make this knot, this video steeled my resolve. Thank you!

    Thanks so much for this video! Made a botched attempt at tying a knot on my own, but this is vastly superior. Best wishes, Matt

    Thank you so much for making this video! I just bought a mala bracelet from online and I think it may be too big for my small wrist. Will definitely be using this tutorial to make the strap a little smaller!

    Hi! Thanks for making this concise video. Quick question: what size beads do you use, and how long is the string for one full mala? Thanks!

    Is there a way to take the two cords left out of the Mala bead and do a Chinese knot? What are some other ways besides tassels to end your Mala?

    I've made a few malas and was looking for new ideas ... love your technique, but I don't understand why you would want to use this slide ... am I missing something? Donna

    • @PinkLotusThangka
      @PinkLotusThangka  7 років тому +6

      Hi Donna. The slipknot allows you to adjust how tight or slack you want the mala to be. For smaller malas it can also be helpful if you want to wrap it round your wrist. I also think the slipknot is a prettier knot to the static!!

  • @nvandon1028

    By chance can you share details on the mala you are working on? Bead count/size, cord size, etc? How about the one in your wrist?

    • @PinkLotusThangka
      @PinkLotusThangka  7 років тому +3

      The Mala I am using in the video is Bodhi Seed, around 13mm beads. I am using B size cord which is 2mm. The mala on my wrist is Sandalwood!!
