EXACTLY what I was looking for... you have no idea how long I've been waiting for a video about this! I've been wanting to restring my mala for maybe over a year now and after putting it off, not knowing if my research was correct to make this knot, this video steeled my resolve. Thank you!
Thank you so much for making this video! I just bought a mala bracelet from online and I think it may be too big for my small wrist. Will definitely be using this tutorial to make the strap a little smaller!
Where do you buy the cord? And how do you attach or add the tassels? My wrist mala has 2 tassels.sadly it broke. I am trying to learn how to resting it.🙏
Hi John. This is the cord on our website. It comes in 1mm and 2mm dependant on size of bead and hole - www.pinklotus.co.uk/view_shop.asp?cat=14&subcat=127&subcategory=Prayer-Mala-Cord

Hi Donna. The slipknot allows you to adjust how tight or slack you want the mala to be. For smaller malas it can also be helpful if you want to wrap it round your wrist. I also think the slipknot is a prettier knot to the static!!
Hello Miranda. Its a type of cord that can be burnt and melted to use as a needle. You can find our Mala cord here - www.pinklotus.co.uk/view_shop.asp?cat=14&subcat=127&subcategory=Prayer-Mala-Cord

Hi! Thanks for making this concise video. Quick question: what size beads do you use, and how long is the string for one full mala? Thanks!
Is there a way to take the two cords left out of the Mala bead and do a Chinese knot? What are some other ways besides tassels to end your Mala?
can you give a tip for the making of the thin end of the thread (you burn and pull the thread into a thin needle)
